We have stayed at multiple Fairmont properties, and this is one of our new favorites. The service we received from every single employee was exceptional. The food, the spa, the vibe was all exactly what we hoped for on our vacation. Thank you for making our trip a memorable one--we will be back!

Just got back from a solo stay at the Fairmont Miramar in Santa Monica and it was exactly what I needed. The property itself is perfectly located for beach walks and easy exploring, but what really stood out was the service. Everyone I interacted with was kind and attentive, but a special shoutout to Eddie at valet/concierge. From the moment I arrived, he made me feel genuinely welcome and took the time to share thoughtful recommendations that made my trip even better. Traveling solo can sometimes feel a bit isolating, but the warmth here made it feel comfortable and easy. Would absolutely come back.

This has long been our hotel of choice when visiting Santa Monica but we we’re disappointed this time. We arrived at 9.45pm after a long day travelling. Check in was swift & we went straight to the room, dumped our bags, quick wash & got back down to the bar area by 10.05 only to be told the bar closed at 10pm & there was no food service. Luckily the waitress took pity on us & managed to bring us a drink & some nibbles. Just amazed that a major hotel in LA should have nowhere to eat or drink after 10pm. The bar was still packed by the way . Breakfast was up to the same excellent standard. We had an ocean view room with balcony which felt tired & quite dated. Pokey bathroom that only 1 person at a time can use. Hotel definitely needs an overhaul.

On prem as i write. worn and tired. and dirty. what a shame. check the pics. we used to stay here all the time - quiet side of the tower, away from the nightclub, higher floor. consistent product and service. clean. responsive. helpful. genuinely interested in the guest experience. now, it’s just sad. both the service and the product. requested high room, quiet, non adjoining. received low room, loud and adjoining. yeah sure i know its not guaranteed but really, why bother asking? requested feather pillows. received foam. promised a 3 pm checkin when we arrived, checked in at 410. no joke we were attacked when asking if the room was ready around 2! “did you receive a call!? we’ll CALL you by 3!” of course they didnt. have requested some cleaning, we’ll see. and you can tell the employees are trying but the management doesn’t have their backs. i’m guessing it’s a revenue thing at fairmont and the property is rotting for it. ah well, FIG is still nice. but do yourself a favor and book the Proper. same price range. miles ahead.

The valet team is always fantastic - they are friendly, professional, and super efficient. They make the whole experience smooth and stress-free with their positive attitude and great service. I feel lucky to have gotten to know them a bit as I am a spa member and regularly visit for classes. Boris, Napo, Kris, Melvin, Aiden, Antonio, Salvador, Matt, and Gael, thanks so much for always making me feel welcomed and in such good hands.

This was our first time coming to LA . Have to say Out standing customer service beautiful amenities!! Out standing cocktails and food in lobby, Weather was perfect! Close to everything with in walking distance.. the grounds nice and cozy and Safe!! .. Rooms nice and clean and fresh. Balcony off your room facing the pier was perfect for sunsets and nice early morning coffee out your room. Nice and quiet .To enjoy a conversation on balcony. . I had 2 rooms for our family and the value was right in my budget, plus the location. Was absolutely perfect!! Couldn’t have asked for a better experience had everything there . Thank you for having us !! We will make this location a MUST Return!! And we can’t wait to come back and enjoy all that we missed . Also I have to Honorary mention the guys out at the front .. Matthew , Adan, Antonio for there outstanding help with our bags and hot spots on where to go !! And Matthew for his knowledge and guidance on key locations to go and check out as well the whole staff was great from moment of check in to when we left!!

Avoid this hotel on weekends at all costs! At 3 pm I wait online with 9 other people for 20 minutes to check in to find out room not ready, or should say rooms not ready also for everyone else. Then charged $82 for valet parking bc I have to valet park my car bc my room is not ready and don’t want to drive around looking for street parking while waiting for room. At 4:30 I get a $100 incidental charge on my Amex but no call to say room is ready. Came for beautiful beach weekend at iconic Santa Monica hotel. Asleep and keep waking up to Bungalow Bar below me blasting … blasting music. No warning at check in . I call desk to find out bar open until 2 am.. more important for corporate to make profit off alcohol patrons at street bar than $600 night hotel guests staying here! What a joke. Never again.

Everything was perfect. The location is just right for the beach, restaurants, Convenience Stores and parking if you don’t use the crazy $70 US daily hotel parking charge! Staff everywhere were friendly and helpful. Pool a little small but plenty of excellent loungers and endless towels on offer laid out by pool staff. Unfortunately they allow children in the Jacuzzi which they used as a hot play SCREAMING area throughout our 4 days stay with parents too busy taking in either food, drinks or the sun to take any notice Rooms are big and everything to hand with a lovely bed, Robes and a fabulous view of the beach

This is an older hotel with dim lighting. The interior is just okay. The sofas are old and the edges are worn. I probably wouldn't consider staying there again. The surroundings are okay and not too far from the beach.

Excellent late dinner. Spicy tuna sushi salad. Delish. Could have been spicier for me. But kale, mango, avocado salad that comes with it is fabulous! Great service, Spencer was great. Team of waiters and waitresses was terrific. Cross country flight weariness earlier in the day went away!

Delicious food, definitely expensive. The portions are super small but it's great for a birthday celebration. Incredible views of Santa Monica and incredible place for pictures, in addition to their momento photo booth. Server was really nice--eery resemblance to James McAvoy--but helpful. Dessert is a MUST here.

I had an absolutely divine breakfast at this place. Well worth it. No matter where you sit you get a view of the entire valley AND the ocean. The food is fancy but relate-able and completely scrumptious!

I have been to The Penthouse for their nightlife for years, and as a local, when I went there last night, I couldn't believe how poorly we were treated by the large, fat, and rude bouncer at the bottom of the elevator. He was condescending, arrogant and completely impolite to us. I was with my fiance and my girlfriend. I wanted to take her there since she had never been. When we arrived, there was a very short line of 2 people. We went to the elevator to go up, but he guided us not to the back of the line of the 2 people, but as people were arriving, he pointed to a "fake" line behind a rope while he let everybody else continue to walk past us, get in line in front of us, and go up the elevator. It was alarming, and frankly, horrible customer service for a hotel. I think he should be fired for how poorly we were treated. As a result, we left and will not be supporting The Penthouse or the hotel. I do NOT recommend going here. Please do not support this business.
