A very nice apartment in a great location and for a decent price. Only issues were the elevator is a nightmare to use by yourself with bags as the door is clunky and auto closes. Also the A/C was disabled because its not summer. Some hotels in LA do this but its still ridiculous.

What a fun hotel. Just the right amount of old school beach and modern hotel amenities.
The room and bed was very comfortable, all the rooms have a kitchenette and the bathroom and shower are great!

The people around the place is very bad. They would kill you just as look at you. You cannot walk anywhere after the sun goes down without fear of violence or someone coming after you

Absolutely perfect for our 36hr layover in LA. Close to great food, bike rental/bike path, right on the beach. A wonderful communal rooftop space to chill out on. Clean rooms well equipped. Will definitely come back.

The location by the beach was excellent. It’s just that it was Venice beach which is known for its homeless people. Also, the parking was from another third party and that was pricey.

The hotel location (with respect to the beach) was awesome but parking was a 5 minutes walk. During the day, the walk is fine but at night time it gets a bit sketchy. Overall, I really liked and enjoyed the hotel.

Lovely suites on Venice Boardwalk
Enjoyed our 3-day stay here! Very close to the beach and loved having access to equipment in the hotel basement, which guests could borrow (boogey boards, chairs, buckets and spades.. ).
Although the property is right on the boardwalk, our suite faced the back and we had no issues with noise. Air con in the suite meant we didnt have to open windows, which helped with the noise too.
Yes, there are issues with homelessness in the area but never felt unsafe or antagonistic.
Another fantastic perk if the property was the rooftop - we could bring food and drinks up there and chill with great views of the beach, ocean and boardwalk, at no additional cost!

The rooftop communal terrace has a fantastic view and is very pleasant for sunbathing. The location is excellent, and there are very few people on the streets at night, so it's safe to walk outside alone. Some of the sea-view rooms are already quite nice, but over two thousand a night is too expensive; just stay one night to experience it.

A great place to hang out and catch some sun. Nice seating outdoors with a parade of humanity passing by. An excellent escape from winter. We ate there every day. Good service. Interesting and extensive menu, although can be a bit bland. A great location.

Kick ass fish fry and fish tacos. We enjoyed both items. They make a nice cocktail too. Cool location, friendly staff. Our first time in this area, but if we come back, we'll know where to start.

The Sidewalk Cafe is a regular stop for us when visiting Venice Beach. They have excellent breakfasts, and lunches are great, too. Never been there for the night life, but it sounds exciting, with Happy Hours, Taco Tuesdays, etc. If the sun is shining, the place is busy, but we've been there on a rainy February morning, and it was very quiet. The service is pretty good, but a little hectic when it is busier. We've never left disappointed though, and that is saying something!

My friend and I visit Venice every summer and we eat at The Sidewalk Cafe. The service is always good and the menu choices are abundant. Everything I've had there has been great over the years and today was no exception. The only reason they don't get 5 stars is because of some cleanliness issues. Example someone pet my dog but did not then wash their hands before serving food. Example too many men with no shirts. Overall we love this place and we recommend it highly!
