The hotel's location is excellent, and it has a very upscale and grand atmosphere. The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming. The views from the top floor, overlooking the surrounding area, are absolutely spectacular!

Everything was perfect except the daily parking fee is crazy. It is like $70 per night.
Also, I used their laundry credit to clean my trousers, but they charged me $9.75 as a service charge. So, please don’t get fooled by the free credits that this hotel provides.

The room was nice, and the location is right in the city center. However, for a big InterContinental hotel, there wasn't a single person at the front desk who spoke Chinese, which made communication very inconvenient. Also, what they called 'breakfast included' actually meant a breakfast with a limited allowance.

Great hotel!

Really nice place!

The environment and location were great, but the room itself was severely lacking in amenities. There wasn't a single plate or cutlery set, and the mini-fridge was completely packed with items for sale, making it impossible for guests to use. Forget about storing milk, fruit, or anything else. This definitely needs improvement; in today's highly developed tourism market, who would pay exorbitant hotel prices for drinks that are readily available everywhere else? We stayed for three nights and no one cleaned our room. They said we were 'Private' for those days... but we went out every day, and before leaving, we specifically checked that the 'Service' sign was green, which means the staff wasn't doing their job. Will I stay here again? Probably not. A hotel without service is just an empty shell.

The takeout on the first floor isn't managed by the hotel, and it got taken. The room cleaning is usually just okay. The lights, toilet floor, and everything else look old, rusty, and discolored. Plus, if you're on a different floor, you have to take two elevators.

I stayed for five days! One day I left early and forgot to leave a tip. As a result, nothing in the room was replenished. On subsequent days, they didn't restock coffee or mineral water (even though I left a tip every day after that). They charged us $7 a bottle for mineral water. On the day I didn't leave a tip, they even charged us for items from the mini-bar that we didn't consume, like chocolate. When checking out, the front desk slowly deducted the charges only after we kept questioning them 🙃. When checking in, I asked the front desk for a kettle, and they later told us it was $39 per night for the number of nights we stayed. What, are Chinese people easy to bully???? It was totally inexplicable and the experience was terrible!!!!! Good thing I checked the bill when checking out; it was absolutely outrageous.

Such a letdown! Rooms were noisy as hell (we toured 4/5 rooms and all have different levels of noise disturbance, e.g., broken window, clogged sink, noise from the elevator, street noise), not to mention the minimum to none room services, one day they did not clean out room at all even though we put up the service sign (and they said would investigate and let us know what went wrong — ofc they did not); another day we had the privacy sign on, someone just opened our door while I was having a shower!!!!! Terrible to the max. Do not recommend if you are looking for a decent accommodation!

It’s quite good, and we get an upgrade for suite! With good view and desert, wonderful trip!

Way too expensive. You're paying for downtown location I guess. Mediocre burgers and the desserts tasted like they came off the expired rack at the grocery store.

Great price during happy hour, esp. on drinks. For food, it's pretty standard American fare or bar food. Close to the metro so very convenient. A busy hangout during the weekdays when DTLA is hopping. Dark, old-school atmosphere.

Engine Co. No. 28 is a Los Angeles financial district mainstay-currently undergoing a wine selection reorganization. Contemporary, cool, friendly sophisticates/business professionals with suitably disposable incomes, & friendly bar chats, patronize this originally womyn-founded, foodie's comfort foods [M-U-S-T try the 'mac 'n cheese' & crab cakes, among them ... ] cozy, contemporary venue. A multi-decades L.A. FAVE❗??

This place was so good! Either I was really hungry or it was just a well done burger. The lemonade tasted good as well. It is pretty pricy for a burger but it was worth a try! I definitely would come back to try their other options. Customer service was nice as well!

Happy hour from about 6 to 10pm daily.

Happy hour menu is very readable for the area.

It was my first time here and the bartender was very helpful.

Got a refresher and ribs.

Originally came here to check out the happy hour and Mac and cheese.

This building also has a great history.

I have been here 2-3 time per month for the past 1 year with many friends and no one complain any thing about Sashimi ( without rice ) our favorite drink Absolute LA, Baby Lamb Chops and Japanese Scallop. I eat many Sushi restaurant from OC to LA and most of them consider high price but no any restaurant had the fresh fishes same as Takami also price for me not too high at all compare to small tiny sushi place around LA. Thanks for Andrew ( general manager ) for great services and discounts our bill most of the time ( may be our bill little bit large all the time ) also thanks to Lisa our great waitress most of the time.

Initial cheerful reception; however, lagged as the evening wore on. Crunch roll and rainbow roll were good but could have used a bit more fish on them.

Five stars for their seaweed salad. It was excellent.

It was my first time at Takami and the experience was fantastic. I came with 2 colleagues a few days before Halloween, so all of the waiters and waitresses were in costumes, so the mood was fun.

The food was fantastic. The price a bit high but well worth it. I would have given Takami a 5 star rating had it not been for our waiter trying to add a few items to our bill in order to jack the tab up more. Those items were never ordered by us.

I would repeat again, but would be extra careful on the charges appearing on the bill.

Nice restaurant. We went for dinner. It was busy with a loud atmosphere. Staff were welcoming and helpful. We ordered many items. Good sushi of fresh ingredients. Good service.
