Solid tourist hotel for a good price! We stayed over New Year's and chose a top floor courtyard room to avoid noise and got perfect sleep after a long night. The rooms in this hotel are quite spacious. The breakfast was advertised as included for a certain number of people, but in reality, it's a $72 credit per room for ordering at the co-located cafe on the ground floor. Overall, it was great! The location is super convenient, and you're just a short walk from the Nintendo SF store. The facilities are comprehensive, and the service was good. The downside is that it was a bit noisy at night, but I guess that's to be expected when you're on a street-facing side in downtown. Not my first time at this vintage hotel, but stayed at a medium size room this time. They've done a fair job of updating the rooms, nothing too fancy. The closet and drawer spaces are limited, and the table is tiny. But I love the sturdy designer chair and that the windows actually tilt open for fresh pacific night air. Bed is great, bring your USB charger though if you have several devices.

Hotel is located near the homeless district. We found it quite surprising how many homeless people there were in the surrounding area. Hotel feels a bit dark. But in general meets a basic level. Clean showers coffee table bed etc..

Very conveniently located 3 mins walk from Powell BART and Trader's Joe right at basement of building. Amenities were new and modern. Staff were friendly and helpful.Safe for solo travellers.

The biggest plus is the convenient location, but it can be a bit noisy. The room facilities are just average. It's barely acceptable for business travelers.

Good but the valet is not waiting outside. Have to park in the white curb ahead of the bus stop, then go inside to let the check in counter know you wish to valet. No big sign for Hotel Zelos either. This hotel must have been recently renovated as the facilities are brand new. The room's lighting, music, temperature, and curtains can all be controlled via an iPad. The hotel is also very close to the subway station and the starting point of the cable car.

My favorite CitizenM hotel, the experience was as great as always. The downtown area is right downstairs, and even though it's a bit messy, I never felt unsafe. It's also very close to the tram station. Just a heads up, the 'dangerous' tenderloin district isn't too far from here.

I usually stay at this hotel almost every time I'm in the area. The location is superb! I also really like the concept of Citizen M, especially the bathroom and the lighting controls. I'll definitely stay here again on my next visit.

Actually, we weren't able to check in. On February 16th, it rained heavily in Los Angeles, and there were many traffic accidents on the highways. After driving for two hours, we decided to give up on going to San Francisco. We then tried to get a full refund, but the hotel refused, only offering two-thirds. Logically, given this unforeseen disaster, the hotel should have refunded the full amount.

The room is clean and sanitary, the location is first-class, and the decoration is a bit like the gold rush era. However, the service staff's attitude is average, a bit like the front desk of McDonald's and KFC, unsmiling and quite satisfactory.

I like this place. It’s convenient to get around and close to important locations, including public transportation stations. However, I would like to deduct points for the housekeeping service. I requested two towel replacements, and while they did replace them, I received one bath towel and one floor mat instead of two towels.

Very nice hotel with convenient and spacious rooms, nice bedding (point of attention: pillows are a bit small/soft/flat and not very comfortable to sleep on). Reception desk team are all great and welcoming! We only stayed for one night.

I stayed at Proper Hotwl last night and couldn’t be happier. The hotel is very stylish, artistic, and spotless. I really liked the Aesop brand amenities, the shampoo, creams, and hand wash were a nice touch. The rooftop bar Charmaine’s is one of my favorite spots in San Francisco, with great vibes and charm. I had a 1 night stay for a business trip. Facility is clean and bed is comfortable. There were some homelessness but it didn’t bother me since the front doors are securely lock with buzz entrance. I will definitely come back.

I had a great stay at the Warwick, my room was spotless, location great - easy to get to all the tourist spots and the public transit system when I wanted to go further afield. Nestor on the front desk was so helpful and friendly. Would definitely stay here again if I find myself back in San Francisco.
