The price-performance ratio is not good, and the various taxes and fees are outrageous.
Excellent geographical location
All of the staff seemed really nice. From the moment we arrived and had a friendly greeting from the valet parking worker, to the ladies that we interacted with in reception.
The room was nothing special, but by that I mean it had no outstanding features, or any distinguishable traits that would separate it from other hotels
The concierge was friendly and helpful, and was very useful in helping us...
We reserved the night of April 5 online, but during our trip decided to also stay in SF on April 4. I thought calling the hotel would be an easy way to get this done, but the staff there told me to just go online and book another night myself. So I sat in the car in an uncertain part of town fumbling with the app to reserve another night.
This isn't the kind of service I expect from Marriott.

Hotel is very well located, good service and very friendly employees. We had a tour to Muir Woods that was canceled due to bad weather and then to Yosemite with another travel company, which stops by bus near the hotel.
Coincidentally, the hotel has very friendly workers for tourist information or hiring activities, etc.
A good employee, Martin saved our trip at that time, he kindly assisted us and...
Solid tourist hotel for a good price! We stayed over New Year's and chose a top floor courtyard room to avoid noise and got perfect sleep after a long night. Valet was great, front desk helpful and accommodating, and the $30 drink credit was easy to use. Walked to Ghiradelli and the Piers. Clean and airy rooms, comfy mattresses. Very recommendable!

Walking distance to united square and metro. Fitness center and business center is well maintained. Had a wonderful moment during happy hour. Staffs are very warm welcome. Really a good deal in SF for its price.
Service: The front desk staff was incredibly enthusiastic, thumbs up! 👍
Environment: It's quite convenient, but there are homeless people on the street behind, so it's best to avoid that area.
Facilities: The room itself is good, except for the soundproofing, which isn't great.
Overall, I'd recommend it.
Location is great, Service is also Good
Had a lovely time at this establishment THE MARKER exceeded all my expectations with friendly service and excellent hospitality.
Excellent front desk and housekeeping services. Friendly and helpful staff.
Clean and spacious room (but do not have a working chair in the room)
Convenient location in Downtown San Francisco, but note that some nearby regions may not be safe.
I flew in for a concert in San Francisco and stayed at this hotel — it was a wonderful experience. The interior was beautiful, and my room was huge, with two separate rooms! The staff was amazing, everyone was so polite. And by a lucky coincidence, the musicians from the concert I went to were staying at the same hotel, so I even got to chat with them a little. I’m so happy — thank you for such a great...

The rooms in this hotel are quite spacious. The breakfast was advertised as included for a certain number of people, but in reality, it's a $72 credit per room for ordering at the co-located cafe on the ground floor. If your order exceeds $72, you have to pay the difference yourself. On our first day, for 3 adults and 1 child, we ordered two burgers and two croissant sandwiches, and it already came...
Overall, it was great! The location is super convenient, and you're just a short walk from the Nintendo SF store. The facilities are comprehensive, and the service was good. The downside is that it was a bit noisy at night, but I guess that's to be expected when you're on a street-facing side in downtown. Also, the free Wi-Fi required reconnecting every day, which was a bit of a hassle.
I booked this hotel for a trip with my parents. It's very close to Macy's, and there's a convenience store nearby where you can grab water and other essentials. There are also a few restaurants downstairs. The only downside is that there's a theater a block away, which can make it a bit chaotic and noisy at night, but I imagine it's not an issue on higher floors. The room itself was quite spacious...
Clean environment, helpful staff, convenient location! I would recommend this! :)
Stayed here for two nights. Booked a king suite and ended up changing rooms twice. Finally got a decent room. Cool boutique hotel but not the best area.
Room was very well maintained and spacious. Location was convenient and staff were super friendly and had recommendations for spots to check out. Fitness studio was also great.

Not my first time at this vintage hotel, but stayed at a medium size room this time. They've done a fair job of updating the rooms, nothing too fancy. The closet and drawer spaces are limited, and the table is tiny. But I love the sturdy designer chair and that the windows actually tilt open for fresh pacific night air. Bed is great, bring your USB charger though if you have several devices.
Great location right near Union Square with plenty of food and shopping nearby. Staff was nice and room was nice. 4 stars as unexpected $35 nightly resort fee for.... Access to a on-site gym? No other amenities I can see that a Best Western wouldn't have without the resort fee.
I stayed at the Hotel Spero for a couple of days while attending a conference at the Moscone Center, and it was great! The staff were super friendly, and the service was great the whole time. My room was clean and comfortable, and housekeeping always did an awesome job.
The walk to the Moscone Center wasn’t bad and overall pretty safe. There are plenty of good restaurants nearby, and Union Square is...
Had a great 3 night stay for a weekend away. Staff were incredibly nice and helpful. On our checkout morning, we had issues with our key card not working and had to get it reset at the front desk. They reset it, only for it to still not work. They walked us up to our room with their master key and offered to extend our checkout time due to the inconvenience. We didn't expect that and ultimately decided...
Deducted 1 point from location as there were too many homeless people around that made us not feel safe when walking in or out of the hotel.
The room itself were big enough for 2 people and I would commend the staff for being so accommodating helping us to check in early and checking if they have an available twin room available instead of just giving us a King bed when they noticed we were 2 friends...
Hotel is located near the homeless district. We found it quite surprising how many homeless people there were in the surrounding area. Hotel feels a bit dark. But in general meets a basic level. Clean showers coffee table bed etc..

Hotel was nicer than I expected. Did not get the bed size I booked bit they did put us into a suite instead. The resort fee is a rip off but what can you do?
Location is good. Service is fine. Amenities is fine too. Same as cleanliness.
Hotel staff very nice and helpful to keep my luggage after check out ! Thanks you all .

Very conveniently located 3 mins walk from Powell BART and Trader's Joe right at basement of building. Amenities were new and modern. Staff were friendly and helpful.Safe for solo travellers.
The biggest plus is the convenient location, but it can be a bit noisy. The room facilities are just average. It's barely acceptable for business travelers.
good place, breakfast was bad tho
Good but the valet is not waiting outside. Have to park in the white curb ahead of the bus stop, then go inside to let the check in counter know you wish to valet. No big sign for Hotel Zelos either. Very convenient location tho. Target is around the corner, Trader Joe’s is practically attached and underneath Hotel Zelos. Wish their bar had a TV for sports.
Friendly staff, clean room, unbeliveably quiet interior courtyard. Nice bar and easy to get to our show. Would stay again. Valet parking was conveniant too!
Spacious room and friendly staff. Quiet and relaxing stay. Jessica at the front desk is great.

This hotel must have been recently renovated as the facilities are brand new. The room's lighting, music, temperature, and curtains can all be controlled via an iPad. The hotel is also very close to the subway station and the starting point of the cable car.
Convenient location, small but perfectly fine for one person, clean, and great service. I'd definitely stay here again.
The location is fantastic, just steps away from Union Square, right above the cable car's starting terminal, and very close to the subway station where you can catch BART directly to the airport. The room was small and compact, but very new and comfortable.
My favorite CitizenM hotel, the experience was as great as always. The downtown area is right downstairs, and even though it's a bit messy, I never felt unsafe. It's also very close to the tram station. Just a heads up, the 'dangerous' tenderloin district isn't too far from here.
I usually stay at this hotel almost every time I'm in the area. The location is superb! I also really like the concept of Citizen M, especially the bathroom and the lighting controls. I'll definitely stay here again on my next visit.
Great service. The hospitality and environment was perfect. The location was one of the main reasons for this booking because it was in the middle of everything. The ambiance was lovely.

Actually, we weren't able to check in. On February 16th, it rained heavily in Los Angeles, and there were many traffic accidents on the highways. After driving for two hours, we decided to give up on going to San Francisco. We then tried to get a full refund, but the hotel refused, only offering two-thirds. Logically, given this unforeseen disaster, the hotel should have refunded the full amount.
had a very unpleasant stay at this hotel and felt deeply disappointed by their service and attitude.
When booking, I was charged three times for the same stay. The first two times were through the hotel’s official website, but I never received any confirmation emails, so I later booked again through Trip.com. When I checked in, the hotel still charged me for all three bookings, even after I explained...

Great location next to Fisherman's Warf (which is next to the Ghirardelli square and the trolley stop and the piers and several food places). Overnight parking is available for a fee and their valet service was pretty quick. The room was large and comfortable. I didn't try the restaurant or bar, so no comments about them; it did look nice and was full of people one of the nights. No homeless people...
The location is located near Fisherman's Wharf, which is very convenient for travel.
The hotel is more expensive than Union Square. The parking fee is US$75 per night. The hotel does not have its own parking lot. It is recommended that those who rent a car can go to the surrounding parking lot to park their car before checking in. The hotel service is very good. There are many things in the room, but...
The room is clean and sanitary, the location is first-class, and the decoration is a bit like the gold rush era. However, the service staff's attitude is average, a bit like the front desk of McDonald's and KFC, unsmiling and quite satisfactory.

We have experienced poor customer service, as the hotel has repeatedly changed our room during our stay. The front desk are very rude.
Hotel has great location and staffs are friendly too
The hotel facilities are quite old, there's a strange smell in the room, and the window AC unit is very noisy. Plus, if you shower too late, there's no hot water! Other than its excellent location, everything else about this hotel is really disappointing.
Amazing hotel in Union Square, San Francisco, California.
I really hate to leave a negative review, I never like doing it, but sometimes it's just necessary. I booked and paid for a deluxe room with a king-sized bed. After a very long journey and terrible jet lag, I was really looking forward to some comfort. Instead, I was given a standard room with a double bed, which made getting any rest impossible. When I complained, they told me the hotel doesn't offer...

The location is fantastic, you can see San Francisco's iconic cable cars right from the entrance.
The location is fantastic! Right outside the hotel, you'll find a subway station and the starting point for the cable car. Union Square is just a five-minute walk away, and there are tons of bus stops nearby. You can even walk to Chinatown from here. The hotel itself is lovely inside, and it was a great value for money stay!
Modern hotel but no breakfast, just beside the cable car.
Value for money.
I like this place. It’s convenient to get around and close to important locations, including public transportation stations. However, I would like to deduct points for the housekeeping service. I requested two towel replacements, and while they did replace them, I received one bath towel and one floor mat instead of two towels.
Good place to stay in San Francisco I would stay again and recommend others.
Location is perfect! The public transportation is right outside the hotel.

Great hotel, fun vibe, not the best neighborhood. Rooftop dining amazing!
Excellent hotel. Inside is very nice with a mixture of modern and historical elements. Loved the rooms, very spacious with great views. The room windows inside and outside were slightly dirty (trying to not nitpick) and would be nice if they were cleaned on the regular to improve views. The hotel needs more bellman carts, as for when I arrived (when it was not crowded) they didn't have one available...
Everything and everyone was amazing. The food and drinks and hospitality on the rooftop restaurant/bar were exceptional. I would stay at the hotel again.
Despite the surround area, the hotel itself is very welcoming and everyone very friendly and above and beyond to make you feel welcome. Rooms were clean and good amenities. I didn’t have a reservation for the rooftop but the team squeezed me in - great views and cocktails!
I stayed at Proper Hotwl last night and couldn’t be happier. The hotel is very stylish, artistic, and spotless. I really liked the Aesop brand amenities, the shampoo, creams, and hand wash were a nice touch. The rooftop bar Charmaine’s is one of my favorite spots in San Francisco, with great vibes and charm. Good Clean room, nice area very nice and spacious also
The Warwick clerk was kind, helpful and efficient. Our large group gathered in San Francisco for bereavement. The staff gave us a place to meet and visit.

A classic hotel in a prime location. The issue is that the hotel shows its age when you stay in the towers. Although it's livable, it's disturbing to see the toilet flush brown on the first two uses.
