The place is basic and old,cleanliness is not top.Many cracks and worn out amenities all around.The restaurant is old,breakfast very basic and extremely oily,breakfast staff is nice and also reception desk.
This hotel is family oriented and main stayers are families as Orlando is a park oriented town.Nevertheless 2 things I noticed during my stay have bothered me and made me uncomfortable.
The last 2 days,I noticed twice within 24 hours,a young lady waiting in the lobby,then a man enters waives at her,and then they go and check in at the reception.Obviously they don’t know each other.Other peoples lives are not my business,but such blunt behavior in a family oriented hotel is disturbing.
Also I went to use the laundry room,machines are new though not cleaned enough.Yet I noticed that machines are located at the end of the hall with a connecting door to the parking and people from outside come with plastic bags to wash their laundry.Again it’s a public laundry,but for the hotel not for anyone passing by.Hygiene would be questioned here.
Anyhow I can say I was happy to check out and leave,and definitely not a hotel I would be coming back to,and not a pleasant experience overall.
Many hotels in Orlando to chose from,especially if traveling with kids.

Stayed here for one night on March 18, 2025 was a little worried at first because the price was so great at $56.25. To my surprise, the hotel itself was very nice. The room and beds were great. The amenities were a coffee pot microwave refrigerator safe and the AC was probably the best AC I’ve ever had in a hotel room. The bathrooms, of course were dated with the old style shower and tub and the door sticking but they were clean. Clean is very important especially at $56. there is a resort fee of $14 which I don’t exactly agree with any resort fees, especially when you’re not using any of them, but they did have a nice pool area and a hot tub. I would definitely stay here again at the $56 price range. I am very picky with my hotels, and I have to say I was happily surprised with this one. Great, great location to international Drive and all of its main attractions.

Great experience! This was me and my boyfriend’s first vacation together and it was amazing. Not only did Laura, one of the front receptionists, set us up in a room with a great view of the little lake out front of our hotel (Best Western Gateway), but she even gave us a great tip for the shuttles to get us to universal studios!

A few minor things to point though would be that the door key is highly sensitive so if you end up going through a metal detector at the theme parks, or have any electronic device beside it , it will stop working and you will have to fix it at the front lobby (we had to do it twice!!) and our toilet clogged once, but the handyman came to help us right away!

Overall, highly recommend!

I've been staying at the Best Western Gateway in Orlando while relocating, and it's truly been a fantastic experience. Ivo and Laura at the front desk have been incredibly attentive, kind, and helpful with every question and concern I've had—they really go above and beyond! The room is clean and comfortable, and honestly, the bed is one of the best I've ever slept on. Highly recommend this location for anyone looking for a comfortable and friendly stay!

For $65, to get a king bed on the 6th floor in a very clean room overlooking a lake... This place is well worth it! Honestly, the front desk staff here were fantastic as well. Big shout out to Ivo and Gabriel. You want to talk about customer service? These guys are awesome!

Just stayed here and I had a great experience! My room was really clean and spotless. I’ve stayed at hotels where that was an issue! The Staff, especially guest service was available to answer all the questions I had and were very respectively and responsive! The pool was great, and I just enjoyed my overall experience. The location of this hotel can’t be beat! Minutes away from Universal studios and the premium outlets! I will book again when Epic Universe opens because they are less than 5 miles away and they meet all the needs for me when I want to book a hotel stay!

Not a good place to stop by and have drinks mainly.I have stopped by on a non bussy week to have some drinks and relax. One single waiter handling the whole restaurant . Haven't measured​ the drinks he was putting in I have ordered (very less). Will Never recommend or go back again :(

Unpleasant experience. Wasn't busy at all, however service was slow. I don't advise ordering alcoholic beverages, for they more juice and mixers over the consumption of alcohol given the extreme price you pay for them. The calamari was definitely frozen and very rubbery even after being fried. Waitress was a complete moron.. Definitely would fine someone else to go.

Staying in the BW. Walked in on Wed night cuz the sign said Wed Special BOGO Blue Long Islands. "Nope that stops at 7," we were told. It was 8p. Why still have the sign up? Why not put hours on the sign? Looks like they could've used our business...
