Wellborn Hotel Downtown in Orlando

Was a very unique and cute place

It was perfect for my wife’s birthday. It’s like having your own apartment in downtown. Small kitchenette with the basics. We attended an event at the Dr Phillips Center, an easy walk. The Wellborn bar is on the property with great food and drink's. There is Inside and outside seating.

Super cute, great location and the restaurant was awesome! Really loved the charm and the ease of getting in and out. Staff was still friendly and available even if not a traditional hotel service. Bed was comfy, tub was great and enjoyed it so much!

I absolutely loved my stay at The Sonder Wellborn. The cottage-style space was easy to find and had such a cozy, “home away from home” vibe. It’s perfect for solo travelers or couples—definitely not a family-style setup, but that’s what made it feel so peaceful and personal. Getting around town was a breeze thanks to the Circuit transportation system. I was able to visit nearby grocery stores and bars for just $1 a ride, which made exploring both easy and affordable. The bar in the back was a hidden gem—quick service and strong drinks in a chill atmosphere. I felt safe walking around the neighborhood, and since I visited during the week in mid-April, noise wasn’t an issue at all. The shared fridge is on the smaller side, but since there were barely any other guests in the house during my stay, it wasn’t a problem. One small note: the carpet could use a deep clean, and it would’ve been nice if they offered complimentary snacks. Still, the beds and comforters were extremely comfortable, and the whole space had a welcoming, laid-back energy. Overall, I gave it 4 out of 5 stars—but I’ll definitely be coming back!

Had a great comfortable stay. Comfy bed, decent sheets, hot water, very spacious. Lots of parking, which I was a bit intimidated about when I first got the parking instructions when I booked the place. Had a sign at the corner that explained we could park along the fence outside of our room and that was easy and smooth. Area is nice, close to KIA center. Would definitely visit again!

This is a cute, quaint place! Keep in mind the place was built in the 40’s & has been updated. The room (301) was huge! We could hear the people above us walking around & closing doors but not voices. Living room: so much space & natural lighting from all the windows. The pull out couch was a bit uncomfortable but kinda par for the course of pull outs. The linens were clean & crisp. Loved that there was a broom to be able to sweep up the tile floors after going in & out. I do wish there was a rug. It took a bit of time to set up Chrome cast to watch TV but the nice set it was great to put on some YouTube music. Bathroom: nice amount of space. The shower just had a glass wall so water did get out during showers. The shampoo & stuff in the shower I could not get to pump, not a huge deal since I brought my own but if I needed it it would have been an annoyance. Bedroom: a lot of room to get ready. The bed was more firm than I personally like but not an uncomfortable nights sleep. Loved the pillows! There is a noise machine & earplugs because it is a bit noisy if you are a light sleeper with the 408 & bar close. I did have a hard time with the fan & lights. I like to sleep with the fan on but could not figure out how to get the fan to work without the lights being on. Not the end of the world & I slept fine. Kitchenette: small counter space but had the typical microwave, coffee maker & mini fridge. There were dishes under the very large sink which is so nice. There was also cleaner in the event you needed it. The Wellborn bar was sooo close & such a nice ambiance. We went for drinks & tapas & loved it. The parking is limited but I had no issues getting a street spot right in front of our room. The street dead ends right next door so no worry with parking on the street. Was given 2 parking passes & they are needed to not get towed. There was a lot behind the hotel that had plenty of parking with the pass. Walkable (in comfy shoes!) to many downtown restaurants & venues. Can’t wait to go back!! **sorry about the pics, I was only taking them to show a friend but decided to do a review**

Beautiful venue for weddings! Didn't blow the budget and the staff was extraordinary! The sounds of the city aren't at all bad in the evening, and the rooms were clean and reminded me of my time in the northeast a little. Absolutely wonderful!
