Hotel location was great. Older hotel but rooms were clean and comfortable. Balcony was small. Service was OK. Although valet parking was expensive at $60 per day, the valet service was very efficient.

I would definitely book Twin Fin again! Perfect location, clean, staff was wonderful! They took very good care of us booking tours with explicit information to get us where we needed to be! I also love that you can check out paddle boards, body boards etc for free! It’s included in your stay! Also they provided water bottles that were refillable for our entire stay with fresh cool water fountains all over Waikiki! What a perfect vacation for my husband and I! We didn’t want to leave! Mahalo! 😎🌴🌊

Overall score: 4.8/5.0
Location: excellent 5/5 and easy to go around by walking or busing.
Staff: excellent 4.8/5.0 and a bit of wait for checking in as front is under staffed in my opinion but friendly to talk with and very helpful
Room: clean 4.5/5.0 and room is very clean and functional but bathroom is a bit dated and need upgrade
(Depending on your room but my floor and room is quiet and easy to get some rest)

Upside: partial ocean view
Downside: elevator so slow and long wait and first floor may need better signs and staff given direction (but crowded and noisy)

Every staff member I encountered at the hotel was kind and friendly. I asked them numerous questions over my 7-night stay, and they always answered thoroughly and satisfactorily.

However, I'm not sure if I misunderstood, but I was told that room cleaning was daily. Yet, if I didn't specifically request room cleaning at the front desk in the morning, the room wouldn't be cleaned. When I inquired the morning after it wasn't cleaned, the answer was always that it was 'on the list.'

Aside from that, everything else was perfect. It was a wonderful environment where I could relax peacefully for my entire 7-night stay.

We stayed here for 10 days and had a great time. Its a perfect location across the street from beach. They have cleaning room service every day or every other day, which is what we chose.
We traveled with an almost 2 year old and saw many families around. There's a pool where we got some snacks and drinks the first day of our stay. You can grab towels and sunblock from the check-in area which is on se floor as pool. Lobby is actually where you come into hotel and can valet on street level but reception is on 3rd floor.
I think all rooms have a balcony and you can catch the beautiful sunset from here.
You can also grab up to 3 complimentary beach items a day from store just below.
We walked everywhere! Location is ideal, not right in busy shopping area but not too far. Right by Zoo and parks! Would definitely stay here again.

The hotel's location is fantastic, very close to the zoo and Diamond Head. It's just a 10-minute walk to the shopping district, and Waikiki Beach is right outside. The location is truly excellent. However, the hotel facilities are old, though the cleanliness is acceptable. Those with high expectations for hotel amenities might be disappointed!

I booked this hotel because of the proximity to the beach, but the room was kind of gross and while the staff were very kind and friendly, I was overall impressed with the hotel. Didn’t feel clean.

The biggest bonus is the proximity to the beach and accessibility to the city. In retrospect, I would’ve booked something a little bit more inside the city to save money and be away from the grime.

Our room was spotless, and the hotel amenities were consistently tidy. The staff was friendly and accommodating. We really enjoyed the location—being on the far east side of Waikiki (the last hotel before the zoo) meant it was quieter, yet still lively. This also gave us easier access to Queen’s Beach, which is wider than Kuhio Beach, making it less crowded—perfect for a couple or a small group of friends. Queen’s Beach is a great spot, while Kuhio is more suited for families. While the hotel wasn’t fancy, it was perfectly fine for our stay. The only downside was that the elevators in the lobby could get crowded, and there was even a brief moment when the system lagged, but it wasn’t a major issue. The Budget/Avis car rental service in the lobby was incredibly convenient, though. The services and amenities at Twin Fin are top-notch. Downstairs, you can rent boards, beach chairs, and umbrellas, and even take surf lessons. The breakfast was also fantastic! We would definitely return.

Stayed here in November of 2025
- Great walking convenience to the beach upfront that has a wave wall that allows for swimming of all ages. Water is super clear and clean.
- Stayed in the 12th floor with partial ocean view. I was able to capture the Japan sponsored fireworks and it was perfect.
- Stayed also at the restaurant on the 3rd floor and listened to live music which was awesome.
- The breakfast on the 21st floor would've been better if it was a buffet. Most mornings it was crowded.
- I gave my rating a overall 4 star. Everything was good. I would've liked the hotel to be renovated including the lobby and the rooms. The elevator card key initially was a hassle to use and sometimes worked and sometimes didn't. The srcurity system for the elevator was overall not thought out well.

Building: This is an old building with some renovation but you still feel it. It might smell a bit moistly and see dirty spots in the room that has worn out. We upgraded to ocean view room but you still don’t get ocean front. The view is gorgeous and it’s worth the upgrade. The Coconut Club gives you great view but you can find better food with less cost. The pool is very small but is well cleaned. The credits for paddle and bodyboard rentals are great but you need to almost pay for everything else.
Location: this is placed in an amazing location with walking distance the beach and amazing spots nearby. Great restaurants nearby and you really enjoy the location.
Service: the staff are amazing and promptly respond to your requests.
Price: the price seems ok for the quality you receive.
Overall, I think you pay for what you choose. This to me was a 3-star hotel that claims to be 4-star hotel but due to location, service, and price it is a good choice if you don’t want to stay a lot in the hotel and are ok with the things I shared.
Share your experiences, help others make the right choice!
Think about what you would like to know if you were looking for a review about a place to relax. Please describe in detail what you liked and what you didn't. What would you advise to other guests and to the hotel owner. The more fully you tell about the hotel, the easier it will be for other people to make a choice and they will be very grateful to you!

Love these guys. Always friendly and they make great sandwiches.

Today,we wanted to get tuna sandwich. We have food restrictions. We asked person to change the knife and be careful with paper, which should not touch any other meat. The way the employee (according to him he was the manager)was really weird. He pretended not to hear what we said.It was piece of meat on cheese and we asked not to use it.He literally threw it to side, showing the worst attitude. The owner should take care of this problem and Subway should take care an action about this store do other people will not have similar experience.

I normally don't post bad reviews, but I couldn't let this one go. I went in one afternoon during what looked like a pretty slow period. There was one customer ahead of me, paying, and two walking in, with three or four staff members on (maybe more). The staff rushed through and were borderline rude in an attempt to clear their three person line. My sandwich was thrown together in a sloppy mess that fell apart as soon as I opened the paper. The bread was old and crumbly, as if it had been sitting there for days. I couldn't even finish the sandwich as there was mustard pouring out all sides of it, making it impossible to pick up. Really disappointing experience.

The worker had the light on "open" and a sign taped on "we will be right back"... We waited for a hour outside because there was a class going on inside and we tried to get info on when will they be "back" to serve us- the worker said the shop was CLOSED. We wasted a hour waiting. Don't waste your time if you want ice cream if you aren't prepared to spend hundreds of dollars to reserve the entire shop. Oh and the guy was extremely RUDE when he said it was CLOSED with a gesture... They are nice when they want your money, and if there is large group to reserve the shop, you can say goodbye to being treated as a human being.

If you are willing to pay $1.25 for ONE regular Oreo cookie half-dipped in chocolate, you might like this store. Everything else seemed equally overpriced, to me. Even the worker behind the counter found the pricing laughable.

The store was empty besides my wife and I and the worker for the half hour we were there. I did not find that surprising; at those prices, I imagine thay have many one-time visitors / customers.
03.09.2013 Randy
My wife and I have a small Chocolate company in Colorado and where staying in the Queen Kapiolani for a week. We stumbled into this little shop never knowing they are serious about there sweets! I cant say we ventured into anything in Waikiki that could touch the vibe of this place. No chain, no Franchise, just pure love by the owner who was working. we talked to him for about an hour while enjoying an amazing hand pulled Vanilla Frappe with Kona Beans. He then told us about the chocolate classes and we joined for the upcoming Saturday class. We actually learned more about chocolate in the chocolate class than we ever knew from 20 years of making chocolates! This owner if very passionate about his craft as well as inspiring about Hawaiian Agriculture. Def. Hot spot while in Waikiki! Will be back!

When they started charging for birthday and and other celebration signs that divers placed in the fish tank that was the first sign that this place was going downhill. Food here was better about 10 years ago.

lots of fun for little kids. they are closed for renovations. nobu bar will be opening up here. the "tanked" guys will be building the new aquarium.
09.06.2016 Shane
The aquarium is amazing and there are mermaids in the tank in the evening. The food was so delicious that I have been back multiple times. Each night the buffet changes. The breakfast buffet it huge and has an amazing selection of fruit, pastries, hot and cold choices. Wow
25.03.2016 Todd
The entire restaurant experience revolves around the spectacle of the aquarium. It is very entertaining. They have beautiful women in mermaid outfits that will swim by. Visually memorizing. But based on their food, it's really not worth it.
