We just celebrated our 25th anniversary at the XV Beacon Hotel. As always, it exceeded our expectations. Wonderful staff, incredible attention to detail, beautiful rooms. We felt special when we arrived to heart-shaped flower petals on the bed, champagne, and chocolate-covered strawberries. Exceptional attention to detail in every way. The hotel has a beautiful rooftop terrace with stunning views of the city, and it's close to Boston Gardens, the Charles River, Fanway Hall, and more. They also reserved their car service for us so we could get to our dinner in the Seaport area. We highly recommend staying there and will be back!

We stayed for just under a week and couldn't have asked for a better hotel. Wonderful people, excellent service, and an absolutely perfect/beautiful location. The room was also excellent. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely return.

My partner and I spent a long weekend at XV Beacon, and overall, the hotel has a lot of wonderful touches that make the stay feel special. We loved the complimentary bath salts, premium in-room coffee, bottled water, and even the fireplace — all small luxuries that added to the experience. The service throughout our stay was exceptional, and the staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. Our first night’s pillows were not great, but thankfully the hotel offers an impressive pillow menu with 8+ options, which made a huge difference. I also forgot my sound machine, and to my surprise, they had one available complimentary. It really feels like they’ve thought of everything a traveler might need. We like to unwind in our room after long days of walking, and this is where the stay fell a little short. The in-room couch was extremely worn and uncomfortable — clearly very heavily used — and the room overall could benefit from some updates. Mooo…, the on-site restaurant, was fantastic. We especially loved their $1 oysters at lunchtime — fresh, delicious, and a great deal. Overall, XV Beacon has exceptional service and thoughtful amenities, but the rooms could use a refresh to match the rest of the experience.

I had a wonderful experience at the XV Beacon Hotel. The room and bathroom was modern and updated. I also thought the gym was clean.

After reading all the great reviews we were looking forward to our stay. The atmosphere of the hotel is very dark, dreary and depressing. The rooms natural light is blocked by the building next door. Couldn’t figure out how to adjust the temperature. Impossible to put makeup on in the bathroom light. The bed was the most uncomfortable I have ever slept on and kept me up all night with back pain. Needless to say we won’t be back.

Wow, really nice find, perfectly positioned to walk everywhere in Boston, super nice staff, cozy boutique style hotel, nice room, Moo Restaurant attached, great breakfast. Could not fault this place 5 stars!

We have just stayed 3 nights in this hotel room 602 Everything about it is excellent. The location is perfect for the lovely Beacon Hill area and the park, also not far from the wharfs. Our room was clean, comfortable with every amenity, lovely decor and relaxing to put up your feet after a days sight seeing . There was a little road noise but hey its a buzy city. We enjoyed having room service for breakfast and one meal .We were served quickly and the food and delivery were very good . We asked for hot water a couple of times and we were quickly given our own charming kettle ( We are British and tea was calling ...not from the bay!!) The bar and resturant have a great atmosphere with good cocktails and food . The staff were friendly and helpful throughout . But a big shout out to the concierge team who were fantastic from to getting us into a resturant of our choice ( which was booked out ) to helping with general infomation and printing our boarding passes. All together a great place to stay and I would highly recommend Thank you to the staff

XV Beacon is located right in the heart of Boston directly next to the State House. Whether you want to walk to the Commons/Public Gardens or Quincy Market and the North End, this hotel is situated in the perfect place for you. It’s a boutique hotel so it doesn’t have the same grandness as other comparable hotels in the area, but for the money, it’s hard to beat. Will definitely be back.

XV Beacon is an incredible hotel in the Beacon Hill area of Boston. It is extremely conveniently located to be able to walk to most tourist areas and locations in Boston. Checking in was super easy. They sent me a message to pre check in but that turned out to be actually checking in. I hadn't actually wanted to do this and wanted to check-in in person but I was able to speak with the front desk person when I grabbed my keys and was able to settle my needs. This process was smooth and super hospitable. The lobby was a bit small but it was nicely decorated and very cozy. We sat in the lobby a few times and really appreciated the iced tea (and football cookies on Sunday game day.) The concierge desk is front and center and the concierge who helped us was extremely personable, with excellent recommendations. Our room was quite lovely and very spacious. It was immaculately clean and comfortable. The water pressure in the shower was amazing and so was the abundance of hot water. Our bed was so cozy and the black out curtains did their job. We got great rest in this hotel. We went up to the rooftop, with it's plentiful seating and gorgeous views of Boston Common. What a nice way to spend an afternoon. We ordered room service one night and ate in the restaurant for breakfast a few times. The food at Moooooo is absolutely incredible, as well as the service. I could not recommend this hotel more and I will definitely be back when in Boston again.

XV Beacon delivers a truly refined boutique hotel experience in the heart of Boston. The room quality is outstanding — spacious, tastefully decorated, and equipped with luxurious details like a gas fireplace, plush bedding, and marble bathroom with heated floors. Every element feels carefully chosen to balance comfort with sophistication. The tech touches, like easy lighting and temperature control, add modern convenience to the classic charm. The view from my room was beautiful — overlooking Beacon Hill’s historic brick townhouses and tree-lined streets. It’s rare to find a hotel that feels both so private and so perfectly connected to the city’s character. The service at XV Beacon is what truly sets it apart. The staff are intuitive, polished, and genuinely attentive — remembering names, preferences, and small details that make each stay feel personal. The concierge team is exceptional at arranging last-minute reservations and providing local recommendations that never disappoint. If you value quiet luxury, thoughtful hospitality, and a sense of home in one of Boston’s most elegant neighborhoods, XV Beacon is unbeatable.

We went to Mooo for a birthday celebration. The atmosphere was good, the house bread was to die for ( warm and fluffy), the steaks and sides were amazing. Highly recommended!!

Great food, THE best bar in Boston... but the ladies “welcoming” guests by the doors spoilt our experience. You definitely do not feel appreciated.

Great food, friendly service, and a chill vibe. I hate going out downtown, but I would make it a point to come here again.

Great food (loved the steak) and friendly staff. We were there on a rather loud night with a party going on while we were finished our dessert so I guess that’s probably not very representative for the place overall.

Came here on a Saturday around 6pm. Place was pretty much dead, was good because I could actually use one of the 4 pool tables ($15/hour for a table). I'm curious how it gets at night.

I came here tonight and drove all the way to New Jersey. And I was racially profiled. I payed 20 buck to get in and this other black kid I guess snuck in and I paid to get in and some young girl said it was me. When I tried to tell them it wasn’t me they said, they said it want me. I’m so upset. I’ve never been racially profiled before but I was disrespected tonight being one the only African American in there. If you are of any ethnicity, but Caucasian do not go here these people need cultural training. It’s discguating to get treated like this in 2017. I’m thinking of solving this legally.

I've usually come here on quieter evenings and I have never been disappointed. The most recent time I came here I got a lobster roll with a friend as well as a couple cups of chowder and some beers. Service was quick and we sat at the bar. Bartender had good recommendations on beers as well as whiskey. Food was very good, the roll was a bit burnt on one-side but otherwise the meal was perfect.

Busy, not especially clean, food just correct.

Upside space closed long time before closure, why ? You have to negociate just to go to toilets...

Avoid this Chipotle, you can find better options walking few distance.

Nothing to get too excited about but I did have a tasty burrito bowl which was full of flavour. The meat was tender and the salsa was suitably piquant. Service was fast and friendly.

I really love Chipolte. It's healthy, great tasting food, that's affordable.

I'm not normally one to review places I've eaten, but this Chipotle was so terrible I had to warn future customers. I was visiting Boston for the weekend and was downtown when the kids got hungry so I saw this place and normally Chipotle isn't bad and i figured why not.
1. I ordered a steak burrito and my S.O. got a chicken rice bowl, steak was beyond rubbery and the center still pink which proves it was cooked long before.
2. The chicken rice bowl was extremely spicy which was all that could be tasted with it and the chicken as old as the steak.
3. Normally chips at Chipotle have that little bit of lime zest to them but not here, the chips were barely crunchy and I would guess were made the day before and left out over night or something along those lines. They were awful and definitely stale.
4. The employees could care less about the food/service. I've worked in restaurants so I can understand when it's really busy just trying to make sure everyone is satisfied without being super happy the whole time. As long as they're happy customers then everything is good. But it wasn't even busy, no more than a few customers besides us and by the faces of employees you would of thought I was the boss and just told them all they were fired (I'm barely exaggerating).
5. The cleanliness of the building was disgustingly below acceptable. They have only 2 maybe 3 tables downstairs and more seating upstairs. We stayed downstairs as to look out the windows while eating and the tables were filthy. If I had to guess I would say they hadn't even attempted to even wipe them off once all day and this was 4:00pm mind you.

All in all it was a terrible experience. I don't understand the hype behind Chipotle as a whole, they barely have a menu and everything is sub-par at best. I've always been on the fence about eating at their establishments and after seeing this one it sealed the deal for me to never go back to another one. So if you see this review while looking for a place for a quick bite in downtown Boston then you've been warned and I wouldn't test your luck, hopefully I save some time and money for you.
24.09.2017 Ian
Specifically, this Chipotle on Washington Street in downtown Boston is worth your while. This is the coolest location of any Chipotle I've been to.
