A lovely room overlooking the street with an attractive bay window. Plenty of coffee and tea option the AM. No breakfast but a charming cafe next door. Helpful staff

This is our second time staying at the Newbury Guest House and again, we were quite pleased with our stay, though it was too short. Our room was simple, well appointed and clean; the bath has been updated and well maintained.
What we like most about the Newbury Guest house is the very friendly and welcoming staff, from those at the front desk to those sweeping the carpets or changing the rooms. It is a small and intimate place where guests gather in the living room to enjoy a drink, read, chat or play chess. Overall, there is a great vibe in this warm, traditional space which is hard to replicate elsewhere.

Easily walkable to shops restaurants and the common. The restaurant downstairs is excellent. We are definitely going to be back.

Perfect location for walking. La Voile downstairs is excellent and cozy. A lovely Christmas Eve overnight.

Perfect location, amazing customer service, and convenience of having their own parking. We had a great time and the room was exactly what we were looking for.

A beautiful boutique hotel located on Newbury Street in the Back Bay area of Boston. Our stay was perfect. We're looking forward to returning soon.

A beautiful boutique hotel on Newbury Street. We could not have been happier with our stay.

The hotel is in a great location, right on Newbury St, almost right in the middle, walking-wise, of the Common one way and Fenway the other (about 15-minutes to either). The room was comfortable, and the place has that 'old but nice' vibe that is appealing. The only downside was that the shower had a clump of hair from the previous guest in the corner, which brings up the question of whether it was cleaned at all. Sometimes things get missed, and the rest of the bathroom and room seemed clean, but I can certainly say the Newbury staff was lucky it was just me in town and my wife was not with me.

We had an amazing time at Back Bay with bartender Michelle. We are from out of town and their dollar oysters brought us in, but michelle kept us there. The eggs Benedict was our choice of breakfast and we were very satisfied! We come back every year for christmas, this will definitely be a staple in our trip.

The ultimate thingy with chicken and waffles (I can't remember what it's called exactly) was great and a good amount to share; the avocado toast was delicious. However, the California Benedict was disappointing in terms of taste. We also had a devil of a time getting some syrup. But the atmosphere is so good that I had to still give 4 stars.

I have not seen better service in Boston. The food was whatever but the drinks were amazing. I got a Rosemary drink and it was literally like Christmas in a glass (not the cinnamon kind but the fresh tree kind). The coffee is reasonable as well. However, if you want to just sit and relax and enjoy great service, this is the place.

I was there for the Halloween eve karaoke party. It was pretty decent and fun. I enjoyed it. The place is cozy and the menu here is great. I am new to this town and this is one of the best places I have been to.

Hiya. My pal & I both of us from the U.K. called in for a beer & a snack. The Attractive lady who took our drink & food request was very helpful. It had a very welcoming atmosphere & as we found during our holiday very friendly people. Well worth a second visit.

We had a really nice time here. We came upstairs just for cocktails and some appetizers in the lounge area. There was a great jazz band playing that really helped to set the atmosphere. The view was spectacular! Recommend for couples, families and friends!

I really enjoyed the experience here. We went on a Monday night and it was not that busy. We could easily find a table for 5 people. The waiter was nice to us and knew Spanish; he talked to my friends in their own language. He also recommended me a great delicious dessert. The food was really good and also the beverages were tasty. We liked that there are a lot of tables near the window and it was also live music. Also, at the end, the co managers talked to us more than 15 minutes, showing that they care about the people and restaurant.

I make it a point to eat here whenever I visit Boston. Yes, it is a somewhat pricey joint but the views make it worth it. The views are good both night and day, though I prefer the day ones as the water is then visible. The food is excellent, though the portions are small. It's an uppity joint so don't be surprised if the patrons are all well dressed, particularly at night. It's attached to a reasonably nice mall if shopping still tickles your fancy after you've paid the tab.

I wanted to commend the staff on a wonderful evening in the wake of what could have been a disaster. I planned a post-conference cocktail hour for several high-ranking executives in the insurance industry. I called 3 weeks previous to ensure that we had a proper space but did not understand that the lounge space was first-come-first-serve. Upon arrival, I became quite terrified as I realized there would not be space for my guests. However, Mike, Jonathon, Denise, and specifically Daniel (our server), were wonderful. They accommodated my quite-large party as quickly as possible even as my frayed nerves were beginning to show through. Five Star-Five Diamond service and accommodation. I could not speak more highly and my superiors (accustomed to such) were duly impressed as well. As I am a member of several Boston-based organizations in which we host conference execs, I plan to be back many more times (with the right pre-planning this time, of course!). Thank you for a wonderful evening and I plan on spreading the word!

Loved our brunch experience! The view, food and service were exceptional. Take the advice of the servers and pace yourself for brunch. It's a lot of food. We had the spinach salad and bacon-wrapped scallops, which were perfect. We will likely be back for dessert in their lounge later in our trip.

I've been to this place twice and had a really good time. The drinks are good and lots of options. The food is okay, nothing to kill for, but then again it is an entertainment place so you shouldn't come here expecting top notch food in the first place. The bowling was $28 per game and the rest of the games such as air hockey and basketball were about $2-$4 for two people. I will definitely go back there again.
25.12.2017 Alex
Fun experience! My friends and I had a great time catching up on life while playing bowling and pool. The alcohol drinks seem a bit watered down... but other than that, the food was decent! I recommend going to this place for the games!
23.12.2017 Patrice
For a bowling spot, the food and drinks are pretty awesome. I also love the late night happy hour.
15.12.2017 Austin
Good times, was company event so can't comment on prices but bowling was fun and appetizers were good.

Kings is super fun but quite pricy! Fun games arcade basketball, air hockey, pool, skee ball and of course bowling soo much fun!
