The modern room design offers plenty of space to move around and is located right in the center of Manhattan, with all the restaurants and a Japanese supermarket just down the street. Times Square is a 15-minute walk away, and the majestic Grand Central Station, with its food court inside, is just a 5-minute walk up Park Avenue from the hotel.

This is a small hotel, and the cleanliness was okay. However, there's no 24-hour room service, which was a bit inconvenient. The service level was generally average. When I checked in, it was snowing, and I had two suitcases, one large and one small. I was expecting the bellhop to help me with them into the elevator, and I even had a tip ready, but they didn't offer any assistance at all. It was quite frustrating. There aren't many other facilities, so it's only suitable for a short stay.

Excellent service. From the moment we walked in, we were taken care of. The deluxe king room was spacious and beautifully renovated. The bathroom was all white marble and we felt comfortable as soon as we walked in.

I would highly recommend the Chemists Club for your next stay!

The hotel is amazing! It’s newly renovated, room is great and very comfortable! Love the complimentary basket, it’s a very nice touch. Amenities are also great! Very friendly and accommodating staffing

I have to say that staying at this hotel in the heart of New York City is very cost-effective. The rooms are very beautiful and clean, the restaurant downstairs is also delicious, the service is also very good, and the surrounding area is convenient!

Great location, clean, services are good, but the bin chocie could be better. The bathroom bin is quite small and difficult to use.

The room was clean and the staff was polite. The first room was on the 7th floor and the wash basin was blocked. The front desk quickly helped us adjust the room to the 10th floor. The room was fine, but there was a musty smell in the corridor. Otherwise, there were no problems.

Near Grand Central Station. Location wise, it's a quiet place in a busy city. The room is small as usual, but that's normal in New York. Overall service is OK. They greet everyone when they come in and out.

Very friendly and professional staff. They are super helpful to change my room to customise my needs. No breakfast, but nice gym space. Great location as well!

The waffles, pancakes, and turkey burger were really good. The chicken pot pie was kind of bland. It looked extremely busy but we got a table for 5 fairly quickly after waiting in line to reach the hostess stand. Nice place, sat and watched the snow fall

Luckily we arrived for breakfast just before the mad queue that formed on a Friday before work time. The place was full of suits.

The service was good and the food was tasty. Did I feel it was worth what we paid for? No. But it was next to Grand Central station so I guess these places have a premium in the work district.

I love this place. I have had the pleasure of eating here twice over about 5 years and the breakfast is amazing and the service stellar. The corned beef hash is the best I have ever had hands down. Fast service even when the are packed. Don’t worry about the line.

Great central location to meet up, especially GCT commuters at the end of the work day. Despite being directly across the street from Grand Central Station, the high ceilings seem to help contain noise for a comfortable conversation level noise, and It's never been too crowded - even in the after work 5p-8p timeframe. No complaints on food and service.

Great breakfast place! I tried the egg Benedict with salmon one day and the healthy breakfast another day during our stay in the city. Service is good but the place is a little busy.

I'm from the West Coast, so I only come here on business travel, but this is the only place I eat when staying at the Grand Hyatt (just upstairs). West Coast flights don't arrive any earlier than 4pm, so I have only done dinner here, and usually not before 7pm. I have been here at least two dozen times since 2000.

The seafood is always fresh, and the menu variety is huge. They do run out of a few things by 7pm, but I have never had to resort to my third choice, ever.

The best option is the four horseshoe tables in the middle that seat about 20 people each on barstools---the server HAS to walk past you all the time, so there is never any frustration wondering where he/she is. Yes, there are some characters, but never rude.

This place mostly serves commuters waiting on their trains, so nobody hangs out much after their meal is over. That frees up seats.

It isn't cheap, but it isn't as expensive as most seafood joints in midtown. Good value and you won't leave hungry.

It is historic, and that is a plus. They have a very old seafood stew bar that uses piped steam to make seafood stews from fresh ingredients that you choose in four different copper/brass vessels right on the bar. Very Old School, and very delicious.

Something for everyone!

The seeded crackers and soda rolls are absolutely unique and delicious!

Grand Central was so busy that I thought there would be no way we could get into a restaurant. We walked up to the Oyster Bar and it is so big that there were a few options. We tried the first main seating section and it was full, then there were a few scattered seats at the bars but not two together. We went to the Saloon and while still very busy the host found us a table without any wait. This is a noisy place so if you're looking for a quiet place to talk, try elsewhere but it's a great group gathering. I ordered the jumbo shrimp with steamed herbed potatoes and they were all yummy! My husband had the clam chowder and an appetizer. While not the best old fashioned cocktails we've ever had it was still good and I'd gladly return. It hosts a melting pot of people and I felt like this Colorado girl was definitely in NYC!

Always great. The menu is awesome, so much to choose from. I just love the space and the staff is always good. Oysters are always a must along with the clam chowder. My broiled arctic char was super fresh.
10.09.2017 Dmytro
The interior and atmosphere is indeed great. Feels like an iconic place. But on my opinion clam chowder was very average. Selection of oysters was decent on the menu, they did not have half of what I order though. Service could have been better, takes ages for a waiter to come.
13.07.2017 Cindi
Nice ambiance very quaint and unexpected in the middle of grand central! I sat at the bar and only wanted oysters.. my waiter said no problem and gave me an assortment from all over.. they were so fresh and tasty ...I'm glad I made the trip. Will definitely go many times again!

Update:
On 7/1/17 I had to bring my parents visiting from Florida here!!! We had such an awesome time!!! Muhammad was our server and he went above and beyond to provide world class service! This my favorite place for oysters in NY and the lobster was amazing!

Had to have come from a can. Had the tell-tale metallic aftertaste.
Campbells is superior.

Ordered the lobster bisque, was a squash soup with lobster flavoring, very little lobster flavoring, and no lobster meat. When brought back to the counter (full except 1 spoon taste) was told no exchange. Very disappointed.

Good, fast service with tasty food. Too bad I got sick from eating a salad. (i think the food is not kept cool enough as the server complained to me that hot air was blowing on her.)
