Walking into the standard based off a friend's recommendation i was immediately impressed by the beautiful lobby. Very chic and stylistic. The Gingerbread house aka living room area was nice when we arrived early and out room wasnt quite ready yet.
Once we were able to get settled in our room I loved how it was designed, styled, and furnished. Little touches go a long way. Big beautiful windows overlooking the city. Sexy bathroom and open shower right next to bed, definitely creates a vibe ✨️. Mirrors everywhere for all the views ☺️
My only complaint would be the first night our shower handle was malfunctioning. We couldn't get the water to get warm, but my fiance was able to fix it temporarily. Maintenance came by later the next day to fix it, but it was when we popped back in the room to change for the evening. We came back and the shower handle had been taken apart and part of it was in the sink.
That would've been great but we had not mentioned to the front desk that it was faulty, which leads me to believe they already knew it had an issue...but it got fixed so thats all that really matters.
Overall our stay was wonderful, the room and hotel were goregous. The Standard is an experiecne!

I had been wanting to stay at this hotel, and I'm so glad I did. All of my interactions with the personnel were so kind and respectful. They team really went above and beyond at this hotel. I also love the location -- I was in town visiting from DC and it was very close to Penn Station to get home. The neighborhood was also a prime location and views were beautiful. I'll be staying again here soon!

This was our third time staying at The Standard, and unfortunately it will be our last. We returned because our previous visits were enjoyable, but this stay was absolutely horrible and honestly disgusting in every way.

First, we paid a lot of money for this stay, and not a single penny was worth it. For the price, the experience was unacceptable.

From the moment we arrived, the staff’s attitude was passive-aggressive, rude, and unwelcoming. You couldn’t ask a simple question without being treated like a burden. Front desk interactions were especially unpleasant and dismissive.

Room service was a complete disaster. The food arrived cold, hard, and barely edible. We ordered a steak cooked medium and it came cold and raw, which is unacceptable.

The room itself was dirty, and the bathroom was filthy. This was extremely concerning, especially since we were traveling with two babies. Cleanliness should be a bare minimum, and it clearly was not.

One of the most upsetting moments was when I asked the front desk for water. Instead of any understanding, they rudely said there were “two complimentary waters on top of the fridge.” At our previous stays, this was never an issue. This time, it felt like I had to beg for basic necessities, which is unacceptable when staying with children.

On our last two stays, we were given breakfast vouchers, which should be in their history. When I asked about this, I was met with attitude and looks as if I was making something up.

The entire experience felt hostile, unsanitary, and unprofessional. The quality, service, and cleanliness have declined drastically, and this hotel no longer lives up to its name or price.

If you’re considering staying here especially with children I strongly recommend looking elsewhere. This visit was a complete waste of money.

I had a wonderful stay at The Standard Hotel in NYC. The staff truly made the experience unforgettable, everyone we interacted with was kind, polite, and welcoming. A special shout-out to Rosa, who went above and beyond with so much care, patience, and professionalism. She was exceptionally helpful, gracious, and always delivered service with a smile. Dani was equally fantastic, attentive, warm, and a pleasure to speak with.

From the front desk team, concierge, porters, maintenance, security, doormen, to the incredible housekeepers and cleaning staff, every single person was lovely. It genuinely felt like this hotel hires not just for skill, but for heart. The HR and hiring team deserves recognition! NYC needs more hospitality professionals like the ones working here. Truly the most polite and loving staff in New York.

The only minor downside was the entrance experience, there was no one available to help us with our luggage upon arrival. But aside from that small detail, everything was excellent.

Thank you, The Standard, for a memorable stay and for setting such a beautiful example of what hospitality should look like. I will absolutely be back!

The Standard, High Line is a truly exceptional hotel that combines modern luxury with a vibrant and unique atmosphere in the heart of New York City. Situated directly above the iconic High Line park, it offers stunning views of the city skyline and the Hudson River, making every stay unforgettable.

The rooms are sleek, stylish, and thoughtfully designed, offering comfort, elegance, and all the modern amenities you could need. The beds are incredibly comfortable, the bathrooms are pristine, and the attention to detail in the room design enhances the overall experience.

One of the standout features of The Standard is its restaurant and nightlife scene. The rooftop bar offers spectacular views, great cocktails, and a lively ambiance, perfect for socializing or relaxing after a day of exploring the city. The in-house dining options are also top-notch, providing delicious meals with excellent service.

The staff at The Standard are professional, friendly, and always attentive, ensuring that every guest feels welcome and well taken care of. Whether you need concierge assistance, room service, or recommendations for exploring NYC, they go above and beyond to make your stay enjoyable.

Staffs are impatient and irresponsible. the hotel is old since lack of maintenance

Overall, a pleasant experience. Craig at the front desk was extremely welcoming and hospitable, some of the other staff should take note of his positive guest interactions. The room I had was tired and due for a refresh, but had a great view towards the Empire State Building on the 12th floor. The shower takes a long time to warm up and water pressure varies. Linens were in good shape. The glass is not very sound insulated but this wasn't an issue for us as it got quiet at night. I was fortunate and had a quick check in but noted lengthy check in queues during my stay. Skip Le Bain unless a dance club / smoke machine experience is what you're after. Great location in a nice area.

Literally to die for! Can't wait to go back. The Suite overlooking the Hudson had that beautiful bathtub just as described. Everyone was pretty accommodating and the roof top bar had a nice vybe. Taking a walk around the neighborhood was great...plenty to see and do...

Great location, but there were some issues with noise from nearby clubs in certain rooms. However, the staff was helpful and provided a room change as there was availability. The rooms are small and not quite worth the price, though they are functional. The gym and room views are truly impressive. I had some difficulties with deposit payments and refunds, as the email correspondence was slow and not clear enough

Food and service were great. The hostess was very helpful. Half my party were late and she was able to hold my reservation, even though it was extremely busy. Food was amazing and the music was on point.

It wasn't even busy at all when I got here with my party, We were seated fast, drinks took around 25 minutes to come waiters did not check up on us we had to call them over it's like they weren't even around, food took long I ordered a medium well skirt stake it was too dry for a medium well with a weird taste to it I did not enjoy at all to finish , fries had no taste, Lobster Mac and cheese flavor had a weird acid like taste... 2 stars for the deserts which were good and the nice setting. Not worth the pricing or hype.

Attended a holiday party here. Basement venue space was very well done. Staff and service was amazing. Food and appetizers were delicious. Everyone really enjoyed themselves. Would definitely recommend this place for events and even for a simple dine in/ drinks.

Had a reservation at 10pm. Didn’t get seated till 11:30! When we were seated the private room did not even have enough chairs for all the guests in the party! Then we had to wait till 12:15 for a larger room. We were not even given bread or water and we had reservations at 10p. Our dinner came out at 1am and it was COLD! They forget multiple peoples sides and the waiter was so rude the whole night. Terrible experience.

Expensive but good food. Appetizers are BIG and sized for 2. So no need to order one each except for sampling. At night, music is played and gets really fun in here. Nice atmosphere.

Great drinks and friendly staff. Guacamole was good. Cheese enchiladas a step above typical. Staff was great. A great place to relax and have some fun drinks and good mexican!!!

Average in taste. But nicely presented and service is good, and thats what you would pay extra for.

Food was fine, nothing amazing. Service was terrible. Slowed to a crawl as soon as a few more tables sat for brunch. Waitress was very sneaky about upselling us on stuff without mentioning the items were incredibly over-priced. With so many amazing options in the area, will not be returning.

Came for happy hour. Prices and selection of drinks weren't great. Food looked fine but we didn't order any. Service was very good and quick!

Came for a lunch special, $32 for a salad, steak and a piece of cake. The mixed green salad was good, personally I would have liked to have something sweet versus bacon. The steak was the cheapest on the menu but VERY delicious, full of flavor, very tender, and perfectly cooked. The steak sauce was good but really not needed. The cake at the end was also good but tasted a little dry. The lunch special is the reason I gave it 5 stars, although the meal wasn't perfect it's a fantastic deal!

Over from England and chose to celebrate my birthday at the Old Homestead.
6 for dinner and we were not disappointed.
Staff were so very welcoming and the service was fantastic.
We all loved our steaks.
We would highly recommend this restaurant

I prefer the one in Atlantic city. Needs to be spruced up a bit. Very good STEAK. The service was lacking as compared to AC.
26.11.2017 Amy
This is a lovely old-style New York Steakhouse. The steaks we had were perfectly prepared, and the interior was very plush and like an old men's club. The only issues we had were minor, and were overcome by the great customer service that the waiters provide. While this is not some place I would go frequently, for special events, it's perfect.
18.11.2017 Josue
Great place to treat yourself to a nice steak well deserved steak, after a long week. Look out for the lunch special for $26 you can get a massive steak before 4 p.m. two thumbs up!!
