The Wyndham was a good hotel for a 5 day business trip to Austin as it was located very near the central business and entertainment areas with lots of dining choices nearby. The staff was always friendly and helpful.

the room was very clean and comfortable. For me, the best part was that the room stayed cool at the temperature I set it at throughout the night. I loved that they provided soft pillows and also a set of firmer pillows. The staff was very attentive and very kind. The only suggestion I would make would be to place the shampoo, creme rinse and body wash in dispensers in the shower; the small bottles that were provided were too hard to squeeze out the product.

The staff was wonderful, as they always are. The rooms are always clean. The location is really good for me as it's less than 10 minutes away from my daughter when I visit. For the second consecutive stay there was a major problem in a room on the first floor. This time it was no air conditioner and the tv couldn't receive any signal. The hot water never got warmer than lukewarm.The time before it was a water leak on the floor. The staff took great care of me and moved me to another room both times. Again, the staff and cleanliness of hotel are perfect! I know it's just a matter of time before everything gets taken care of.

Staffs were okay but room was terrible!!!! Heating/thermostat didn’t work, bathtub was nasty with molds and features basically came out of the wall (bar for elderly to hang onto when getting in and out of the tub), and toilet didn’t flush well. We asked for two queen beds in a room but got two double and one of the beds made terrible noise every time I turned anyit was soooo loud, it woke up every one in the toom. TV didn’t work, came on once when the staff tried to fix, couldn’t not turn it on after he left as it flashed “no signal”.
None of in that room feel that anyone is checking the properly and ******* should not list them in their site.
I will NOT recommend this hotel to anyone!!!

I’m thinking maybe the hotel was dead because of holiday week? Good room rate. I asked for medium well burger but it was too rare. Staff I conversed with were friendly. Nice shuttle service to airport. It was great walking distance location (0.7 miles) to my daily activity.

The rooms are dirty and have a terrible smell. The shower was so bad i had to wear socks and then throw them away after. I booked it for three nights but left after one night. There was actual poop in the lobby that someone stepped in and traveled the hotel with it. The hotel is in a terrible area of town as well. This was the worst hotel I have ever stayed in.

1. The room did not have a mini-fridge, although we called in advance and asked if our room would have one, and we were told it would. We have a Thanksgiving pie we needed to keep cool, and we ended up setting it on plastic bags of ice in the bathroom.
2. The toilet is so oddly placed (at an angle, under a countertop) that we had to search to find where the handle is, and to use it, we had to nearly stick our heads in the toilet.
3. The AC/heating unit was so noisy with a high-pitched whine that it woke us both up on and off during the night. It was like sleeping next to a jet engine turbine.

All the staff were nice, the room was clean, just smelt very gross on the third floor like old carpet. Also, it says free breakfast but they don’t have free breakfast. But overall good place to stay.

The hotel smelled good but the scent was extreme that it hurt my head. Also the rooms would get really cold and you could not control the AC.
