The hotel's location is good, and the room is spacious with a good-sized bathroom. The buffet food is good and convenient for breakfast.

It was very spacious and perfect for a family of 4. Nice location. The breakfast had a great spread, just kind of bland. The staff working the breakfast were the most attentive and helpful people I have met at any hotel. They helped find a table, picked up our plates, refilled things. It was amazing for a free hotel breakfast. I wish they had parking without a valet, but I understand the limitations.

Great place to stay if you are in town for a couple of days. Breakfast was good and the fears about it being overcrowded were overplayed. Rooms clean and as expected. Reception area comfy and popular. Gym not bad. Location great.

This was one of the best stays I've had at a Hyatt with a family with 2 young children under 10. We booked 5 nights in a 2-queen bed room.
Excellent location -- a few blocks to the national mall and multiple metro lines. My kids scootered everywhere and we went to lots of museums. The room was large and clean.
The free breakfast had a lot of variety and was a hit daily.
My daughter has celiac, and Evelyn and the kitchen team were able to provide excellent gluten-free options every day (not just gluten free but free of all cross-contamination). She went out of her way, even going to the grocery store and buying food online, then preparing it in a dedicated area and storing it separately. This was incredibly helpful but my daughter was thrilled to get a tray full of delicious food every morning. This really made the stay incredible. The staff were also extremely helpful and attentive.
The front desk was also very helpful. They assisted with logistics, checkout, and everything else we needed. I can't recommend this hotel enough, we will definitely be staying here again.

The Hyatt Place Washington DC/National Mall was a decent stay overall. The hotel was generally clean and the customer service was good. Check-in went smoothly, though we were accidentally double charged. Fortunately, the staff resolved it quickly and professionally. While the room wasn’t spotless, housekeeping made sure we had fresh towels and had the trash taken out regularly, which we appreciated.
A few things to note: snacks and drinks at the front counter are extremely overpriced, so I’d recommend bringing your own, using a grocery delivery app, or grabbing something nearby instead. The free breakfast was decent, but seating is limited and fills up fast during peak times. On the plus side, there’s a McDonald’s within walking distance to the north and two Starbucks locations within half a mile as well.
Don’t expect a five-star experience here, but for the location and service, it’s a solid option for a stay in D.C.

The rooms are spacious. Bed was comfortable. The only reason it is a 4 star is the lack of lighting and switches in proper places. Being a Hyatt u get used a certain level of rooms. There were small nits such as missing body lotion. Also given that it was a 4 person room additional comforters should have been available.
On the bright side the service was very nice and helpful. Right from the check in to the restaurant.
The location is great and for people who like to stroll around this is a perfect location.

There are no cooking facilities in the rooms.
A microwave is available at the breakfast buffet on the third floor.
There's a nearby Saffway Market, a 7-8-minute walk away, which was nice.
The breakfast buffet is only open until 9 AM on weekdays...
After 8 AM, the lines are long and food is scarce.
There's also not enough seating, so some people take food back to their rooms.
However, for this price, the room was spacious.
The sofa bed was quite comfortable.
And the location is excellent.
The outdoor pool was great for kids to have fun playing in, even in the hot Washington weather.
There were plenty of pool towels.
The laundry room is on the third floor (2 dryers and 2 washers). There aren't many, so there's a bit of competition. You use the app to use it (detergent isn't sold).

The room is very large, the sofa can be converted into a sofa bed and can accommodate 4 people. The breakfast is very good and the front desk service is very friendly. It is a very good hotel.

This is a standard Subway. The people are friendly, the place is clean, the choices are as expected. I eat there as it is close to where I work.

Won't believe what i saw - A staff member came out of the restroom without washing hands!! Then I saw the same person at the cashier touching my sandwich and tissues!! Disgusting and Unbelievable. Also, none of their staff speaks English and are probably illegals. Sounds like a cheap owner to me. Now I get subway from another location inside L'enfant plaza or 4th street and highly recommend any of those over this one any day!

Do yourself a favor and order ONLINE first, especially during the lunch rush! The food here is great, but the staff here has always struggled with taking care of a large crowd. Whenever I take a minute or 2 to order online first, my food is ready when I arrive. If I just walk over during lunch, I'm standing in line for at least 30 minutes to get a salad.

Very good food. They take your order while you stand in line. When you get up to the counter you just tell they what you ordered and the finish preparing it (lettuce, tomatoe, peppers etc).
