Desk person specifically said specialty coffees like mocha and latte were available for room service but that was false. We were charged for a valet parking night we never used; that's uncool. Also the bar needs better beer. Finally, $6.60 for mini bar Coke! The prices here were outrageous, I feel like all they wanted was my money and not provide good service.

Overall a good hotel to stay. Some of the staffs are very very helpful. A few are a bit cold though. Great location. Good service. Satisfactory and safe.

Not luxurious, but clean and attractive and reasonably priced. There is no laziness service but there is a dry cleaner and a laundrette around the corner along with veros shops and cafes. I also like the location. Very green with a beautiful church opposite and only a 20 minute walk from The White House and everywhere else.

These guys! Kicked my wife out today saying they haven't got her room anymore.....she booked 3 months in advance, and the best part, I can go online right now and book 5 rooms in this hotel. These people are absolutely full of it. Do not use them, don't ever go to this place. A huge mess around in the middle of a busy work trip.

Don't get me wrong. I would have given them 5 stars for organising another hotel, and trying to help out.......BUT THEY HAVE 5 EMPTY ROOMS YOU CAN BOOK RIGHT NOW.......

Hotel staff was rude and unhelpful. Me and my parents, seniors, had a 4th floor room. Upon arrival, all we needed was a little help opening the elevator's door (as it is an old one) to get our luggage inside it, but we got nothing but a raised-eyebrow stare and giggles.

Other than that, the hotel has a great location and an overall vintage ambiance. Hotel rooms were decent, although some furniture were dated. Breakfast was not included and was terrible.

This was my second stay at the Baron Hotel. It is one of the older inns around the D.C. area and it's not far from shops and metro. There were a couple of changes; no more continental breakfast, and a limited selection of tv channels, but I didn't go to D.C. to watch tv and there's a nice bagel shop around the corner with fresh bagels and good coffee.
The room was large with lots of natural light , the bed was very comfortable, and the staff are always friendly and helpful. I enjoyed my stay.

From the outside, the place doesn't look terrible. It actually looks kind of cool, you can tell it's very old. From the inside it's the same, probably from around 1920-1940.

The first thing you'll notice is no lobby, followed by you getting a fancy key pocket that looks like it was created by a 2 year old. (See photos).

Next you get to ride on the adventure of your life! You step into an elevator that has two sliding doors with very heavy springs that you have to hold open to prevent someone from accidentally getting beheaded or perhaps from losing a leg. Once you're in the elevator that can hold either 1 fat person or 2 regular people (from both size and weight restrictions), you arrive at your floor. (If it doesn't break, it broke down after we got out and stayed that way for a few days).

After fighting the sliding elevator doors or doom once more and making it to your room, you find that your key doesn't work so you have to repeat the process. (Except using the stairs this time).

Once your key is working you make your way into your room, where more than likely 2-3 hookers have died within the past 50 years and their souls still inhabit and haunt the building.

Upon inspection of the room we found that the covers were freshly laced with hairs from previous guests (that we're probably murdered). After finding that all 3 layers of the bed was coated in hairs, we moved to the bathroom, this is where the fun began.

The washclothes had hairs in them.. The towels had hairs in them, and the floor was covered in pubes.

After finally getting it all cleaned ourselves, we went to sleep, wondering if we'd be the next ones to be murdered for our hairs to stuff the pillows for the next guests.

Finally, the sun came up, we had survived, and if it weren't for the jackhammer alarm clock, who knows?! We may have slept in until 8!!

Overall I give this place 2/5. It would get a 1 except the value helped seeing as all other hotels in the area are 300+/night.

Really disappointing (especially if you're expecting anything more than a place to crash). Rooms were old and dingy. Didn't feel safe. Staff was cold and didn't offer secure baggage storage.

Me likey. Food was fantastic. Easily accommodated weird food restrictions. Weren't perturbed by children, had kid menu and bake-your-own cookie activity. Waiter Rachel was extremely helpful and my beer never ran dry. Definitely going back.

Was there with family for Christmas Eve brunch. My polenta with spinach, mushrooms, and poached eggs was savory and filling. We all enjoyed our meals. Service was quick and friendly.

The truffle fries are amazing!! I wanted to order two of them. And the bartender Brendan is amazing! His drinks are superb. Definitely will come back.

Firefly has a few strikes against them and it's warranted. First off, it's a restaurant in a hotel. Secondly, it's only three stars on Yelp. Finally, their main selling point is a giant tree in the middle of the restaurant. Enough said.

I met the CEO of the Muse here for a small group discussion about the future of work. We had a small back room reserved that was very quiet. The service was fast and hands on, but the food was just okay. I ordered the pumpkin soup (which was the stand out dish of the lunch) and a reuben that was mediocre.

If you're a hotel guest, there's worst places to dine, but in a city full of top restaurants, I'd spend time researching other options.

A small and interestingly-decorated concept restaurant attached to a boutique hotel within convenient walking distance from the DuPont Circle Metro stop. The food is slightly on the pricier side, but absolutely delicious and the service was very friendly. The menu is comprised of inventive and seasonal dishes - definitely try the pumpkin cheesecake french toast! There's a taste for every palate and the atmosphere of the restaurant is fun and unique. Definitely would recommend!
