Clean room, nice bed with excellent linen, accommodating front desk staff (Erick was very helpful), amenities were great (all toiletries) too. I stayed in a private room. I recommend staying here for all of the above reasons and the many food options in the area.

I had a fantastic stay at this hotel. The property is clean, well organized, and very comfortable, with a welcoming atmosphere from the moment you arrive. Everything ran smoothly, and the common areas and rooms were well maintained throughout my stay.
A special mention goes to the front desk, especially Ingrid, who was incredibly kind, professional, and helpful. She was always available to answer questions with a warm and friendly attitude. Her attention truly made a difference and made me feel very well taken care of.
Overall, a great experience and a hotel I would happily recommend and return to.

This place is an exceptional value. 24 hour front desk always professional friendly and helpful. Queen room with private bath clean clean clean. Very comfy bed all in lively neighborhood with restaurants cafes and bars all within a 3-5 minute walk. I cannot imagine a better value in Washington DC.

It's so amazing and cozy. I feel safe to be in this place. Amenities are variety and free. I love free access to use any kitchen equipments and laundry. I love quite hour after 10 pm. Also, It's so close to two bus stops! Super convenient!! Definitely coming back again.

I had an incredible experience staying at the HighRoad Hotel this past week. First off, I arrived at 1:00pm intending to just store my bags but my room happened to be ready. I was able to check in and rest after a day of traveling. My room was great for the price. Our room was unique in that it had a queen sized bed lofted over a very small living area. I’ll admit, it was cozy, but it made use of a small room very well. Our room also had a private bathroom with high quality toiletries, and there were multiple places to get fresh toiletries located around the property. There was a large communal kitchen, and also a kitchenette in the lobby with free tea and coffee, as well as an ice machine and filtered water. Laundry was also available and actually free, you just provide your own detergent.

The location could not have been better! You are steps away from good coffee, multiple food options, as well as unique shops in Adams Morgan. You are about a 15 minute walk from Dupont Circle metro or Columbia Heights. There are also bus stops within 1-2 blocks.

Everything was clean, comfortable, and a great stop for anyone interested in traveling and trying to be budget conscious. You won’t be able to beat this accommodation if you’re looking to stay somewhere unique. Admittedly, it is definitely targeted more towards the younger budget traveler (a standard for hostels) so maybe not the place to stay if you bring your senior parents into town, but for most this is a great spot and was an incredible stay for me.

I will likely be staying here any time I return to DC for a quick getaway.

I did not stay in the hostel bunk rooms, but had one of their private rooms.

We’ve stayed here at least 4 times over the last few years and absolutely love it! It’s our go to place to stay when we come to DC. It has all the essentials with no frills. Clean rooms, great showers, cozy atmosphere, friendly front desk staff, and it’s perfectly priced.

I've stayed in at least 25 hostels around the globe and I can attest this is one of the best ones I've ever been (if not the best). Rooms give you plenty of space to storage your belongings (with no extra cost unlike other hostels). Hostel provides you with unlimited toiletries and towels. Facilities are clean and quiet. The location on 18th Street is just perfect as you have all the night life clubs nearby and U street just a couple of blocks away. Public transportation is just in front of the building. The environment is quiet and staff often kept for themselves which is something I find very acceptable (they were always willing to help). If you are looking for a hostel to socialize, I would give this one an A+ as many people there always seemed to mind their own business and as an introvert this a thing I liked. Others were very friendly and always willing to start a conversation. So at the end it depends on the individual and my experience was mixed (and let's not act like people in D. C. doesn't have the reputation of being somewhat "cold"). Keep in mind that I've stayed there in December during the winter though (which I don't think it's the peak season). I am giving High Road Hostel 10 out of 10. I wish I could stayed for longer.

I visited this place during their special "Harry Potter" event and it was really well decorated according to the theme! Drinks however were poorly made, probably due to the rush! I would give this place another chance!

Went for the Harry Potter pop up. It was cute, but they could've done more. Had a couple very rude encounters with staff that really turned us off. First, a member of our party was declined entry as the bouncer said he couldn't accept a green card then changed the story to his green card was fake. He went next door for a beer and we hung out on the adjoining patios. When we tried to go upstairs to meet friends who were exploring a woman told us it was too full. We said we'd wait and she turned into a power hungry witch, yelling repeatedly that it was too full and she wasn't letting us up there (we weren't arguing, just sitting over by the honeydukes set up waiting). Our friends finally came down and as we went to leave she got mad at us for not wanting to go upstairs now that she would finally allow us. So weird!

Great decorations and craft cocktails. They serve real food unlike some of the other bars that have themed nights / months. Best bartenders ever. Great spot for sports too!

Great drinks, prices are what you'd expect. The drinks seem like they should strong, but are not very. The bar was incredibly slow, but it was very crowded. But it was Harry Potter theme and they did a great job!

I met a few friends here at the rooftop bar for a drink before heading to dinner. I had one glass of Merlot and closed my tab. When I checked my bank account few days later I had been charged twice: one $9 charge and one $13 charge. That same evening one of my friends was also double charged and also only had a single glass of wine. We were intentionally charged twice, with two separate amounts which is enough evidence for me that the bartender did it entirely on purpose. I will not return.

My husband and i stopped in to drop off a gift at a going away party for a friend and were not disappointed! We were only there for a short time but will deffinatly be back because the food on the brunch buffet looks amazing! Can not wait for the experience! While i have never seen anyone in drag before it was so much fun and i love it! Can not wait to go back!
