A very nice hotel, close to the White House. We had a room with a street view on the top floor. The team there (Victor and Stephanie) made our stay as comfortable as possible! They contacted me before we arrived to check if we needed to arrange anything before we arrived, and they kept in touch throughout our stay to make sure we had everything we needed.

I just finished a three-night stay with friends, and I was pleasantly surprised by the atmosphere. Super cute and chic. The reception was great. Very close to everything and within walking distance of hidden good restaurants. On the day of departure, I realized when I got to the airport that one of my small gold earrings had fallen off. I called the front desk and asked for housekeeping to check the bed I was sleeping on. Low and behold, there it was, and they called me when they found it and provided delivery options. I would definitely stay here again!

If you’re looking for a hotel that combines boutique charm with genuine warmth, Le Méridien DC The Madison is it. From the moment I arrived to checkout, every detail felt thoughtful and personal — not like a big chain hotel experience at all.
The room was beautiful, the atmosphere throughout the property had this quiet elegance that just made you feel at ease. And the location? Steps from so much of what makes DC special, with the White House practically around the corner.
But honestly, what made this stay truly memorable were the people. Samira and Micah at checkout greeted me with real smiles and genuine care — not just hospitality-by-script, but actual human kindness. In a world that feels heavy right now, that kind of warmth matters more than people realize. Those small moments of connection stayed with me long after I checked out.
Thank you to the entire team at Le Méridien DC The Madison. You made me feel seen, welcomed, and taken care of. I’ll absolutely be back. 🙏🏾

Probably the best Marriott I have ever stayed at stateside. Beautiful hotel, located in the downtown area, with amazing customer service and enormous.

The hotel itself is modern and impeccably clean throughout. The rooms have brand new LG smart TVs, very comfortable mattresses and large windows.

Customer service was excellent and every single employee I interacted with was friendly, hospitable, kind and seemed to genuinely be happy to be there!

Extra perk was the lounge for elite members, which included full breakfast and evening “appetizers” which was basically dinner.

Stayed here for a night.

Overall, a really lovely stay. This was exactly what we were looking for, all the little frills that make a stay feel special, not just functional.

Staff were friendly and welcoming. Check-in was smooth. The room was well done, comfortable, polished, and thoughtfully designed. Nothing over the top, just done right.

Didn’t get time to try the in-house restaurant or lounge, but grabbed coffee from their marketplace. Just delicious.

Location is a big plus. A few blocks from the White House, very easy to walk around and explore.

Only downside is the $30 per night destination fee. I understand this has become common across many chains, but it does feel like a bit of a surprise at check-in. It would be great if this was highlighted more clearly upfront. Nothing against the property itself, just something that slightly takes away from the overall experience.

Aside from that, everything was spot on. A solid, well-located hotel that delivers on comfort and service.

I booked a 5 night stay at Le Meridien and was very disappointed. This hotel doesn’t deserve the 4 star rating. The service in this hotel was horrible, they are very stingy with everything. The mini fridge is for an extra charge and the coffee machine (which was a horrible machine) is only available upon request. I had to call and ask for the coffee machine twice to finally get it and front desk didn’t sound friendly either times I called. As I recall the breakfast buffet was about $20 per person and was the same quality as the free breakfast offered by other cheaper hotels.
I paid for my stay through my credit card portal and with points mostly. Be careful of the hidden $30/night charge they call the “destination package” which you can’t opt out of. I thought I’d be protected from hidden charges if I book through my bank portal but I still got a bill after I checked out.
After leaving I got the bill and they had made a mistake on it which I bought quickly and asked them to adjust it. They never sent me the updated bill and the chat disappeared on the Marriott app but I did get charged the corrected amount on my credit card.

Needless to say I’m never coming back to his hotel. There are much better options for the same price or lower.

I rarely leave reviews for hotels. However, this experience was phenomenal. This trip was a quick getaway to DC. The experience was fantastic from check-in to check-out, the staff were great. The lounge had great food options for breakfast and in the evening, along with friendly staff ensuring you were taken care of. When checking out some credits/charges did not correctly adjust, however Samira while I was at the front desk made the appropriate adjustments quickly and without question. The restaurant (Lady Madison) was also fantastic.

Next time I am in DC for a personal/business trip, Le Meridien will be a hotel I definitely consider.

The room is fine, but just fine. Pretty disappointed with the service. There aren’t coffee makers in the rooms (they do provide free coffee down in the lobby), the refrigerator is full of overpriced mini bar items, and if you ask to have it cleared so you can store your own items in the fridge they tell you that you have to pay an additional $25 to rent a refrigerator. Breakfast also isn’t included, but you can pay a whopping $30 for the mediocre “breakfast buffet”. Not a lot of value for the money, especially when it’s supposed to be a nicer hotel

Location is great and rooms are clean / relatively modern. Value for money is super. Air con is either too hot or too cold. Breakfast is alright but does not wow. Their mini and Snackbar is automated as soon as you Touch something it is billed which is annoying.

An un-extraordinary experience at an average hotel. It is very clean, though, so definitely an option for the night if you need one.

Later:
So, after finding that I'm being charged $81 over with no explanation why and no returning my call, I don't really think they need four stars from me. Location and cleanliness are great, but not with those prices and frustration!!

The food was delicious and the service was great. I would definitely come back. The bacon wrapped dates with goat cheese were fantastic.

Fun place with a great, consistent theme. New American food, which is pretty typical for downtown DC, but it's done well thanks to quality ingredients and good service. Would recommend for a nice lunch with colleagues or for casual business lunch. I've done both.

Made a last minute reservation for brunch while visiting for the weekend.

Our waiter Moses was great! Very attentive and informative of all the options. Everyone loved their food. Would definitely recommend if in the area.

Really cool place. Decor is great and the food is really special. Weird little flavours that go great together. The portions are small the waiter said. For the starter it was absolutely ridiculous how small it was for the price. But the small plates are great value for money.

Food was great! All plates are small plates. You’ll want to get at least two plates to feel full. I got the pear salad and the pan seared scallops. They were very delicious. Ambiance was great as well. Desert was tasty too. I got the brown sugar fudge cake.
