Reviews
The room was beautiful, the atmosphere throughout the property had this quiet elegance that just made you feel at ease. And the location? Steps from so much of what makes DC special, with the White House practically around the corner.
But honestly, what made this stay truly memorable were the people. Samira and Micah at checkout greeted me with real smiles and genuine care — not just hospitality-by-script, but actual human kindness. In a world that feels heavy right now, that kind of warmth matters more than people realize. Those small moments of connection stayed with me long after I checked out.
Thank you to the entire team at Le Méridien DC The Madison. You made me feel seen, welcomed, and taken care of. I’ll absolutely be back. 🙏🏾
The hotel itself is modern and impeccably clean throughout. The rooms have brand new LG smart TVs, very comfortable mattresses and large windows.
Customer service was excellent and every single employee I interacted with was friendly, hospitable, kind and seemed to genuinely be happy to be there!
Extra perk was the lounge for elite members, which included full breakfast and evening “appetizers” which was basically dinner.
Overall, a really lovely stay. This was exactly what we were looking for, all the little frills that make a stay feel special, not just functional.
Staff were friendly and welcoming. Check-in was smooth. The room was well done, comfortable, polished, and thoughtfully designed. Nothing over the top, just done right.
Didn’t get time to try the in-house restaurant or lounge, but grabbed coffee from their marketplace. Just delicious.
Location is a big plus. A few blocks from the White House, very easy to walk around and explore.
Only downside is the $30 per night destination fee. I understand this has become common across many chains, but it does feel like a bit of a surprise at check-in. It would be great if this was highlighted more clearly upfront. Nothing against the property itself, just something that slightly takes away from the overall experience.
Aside from that, everything was spot on. A solid, well-located hotel that delivers on comfort and service.
I paid for my stay through my credit card portal and with points mostly. Be careful of the hidden $30/night charge they call the “destination package” which you can’t opt out of. I thought I’d be protected from hidden charges if I book through my bank portal but I still got a bill after I checked out.
After leaving I got the bill and they had made a mistake on it which I bought quickly and asked them to adjust it. They never sent me the updated bill and the chat disappeared on the Marriott app but I did get charged the corrected amount on my credit card.
Needless to say I’m never coming back to his hotel. There are much better options for the same price or lower.
Next time I am in DC for a personal/business trip, Le Meridien will be a hotel I definitely consider.
Later:
So, after finding that I'm being charged $81 over with no explanation why and no returning my call, I don't really think they need four stars from me. Location and cleanliness are great, but not with those prices and frustration!!
