Rooms are dated. Rooms are small. Rooms are clean. Location is perfection. They let us check in 2 hours early on a busy weekend. This is a no frills hotel. Rooms are very small. Everything is old and dated. But....it has a certain charm to it. Beautiful old building in a great location basically 3 or 4 blocks from the White House under 160. Its a GREAT budget hotel. Do not expect any frills or extras. Bed was fine, shower was fine. No bed bugs like it said in other reviews. If you just want a safe and clean place to sleep and shower this is a great option.

Terrible experience. Water didn't work upon check in for over 24 hours, when approaching the lady at the front desk during the day she laughed at me, said 'im just a happy person'. How are you laughing while guests are miserable without water? Stay away.

The location of this hotel is excellent, the staff was great, the rooms were extremely clean. Keep in mind it's a very old hotel which is in excellent condition but due to how old it is the rooms a smaller than the usual. yet still good enough and when you consider the price point you realize you cant beat it. its a great bang for your buck.

The room was fine for a downtown hotel. My third-floor room was a BIT noisy from outside street noise.
07.11.2025 Monty
Lack of basic services. No access to purchase water or vending machines for snacks. Lighting in the rooms is horrible at night. mattress was worn out and sank.

A very good location in a classic old building. Add some of the limits of the older building that you would expect But beautiful woodwork and brick work. Staff friendly. Room clean and comfortable small of course because it's that type of hotel. Great restaurant locations proximity to Smithsonians which weren't open the white house and warner theatre where we were taking in a concert. We'll be back.
25.10.2025 Johnathan
Very small room. Outdated facilities. One of the elevators was not operational. Room did not even have a full-sized ironing board. Bed was terrible- must be a really old bed. Pillows were flat.

My wife and I stayed at this hotel a couple of times on our weekend trips to Washington DC mostly for the wonderful museums. In the lobby there is a fire place and coffee and tea for guest . I love the way the rooms look its so unique. And it's close enough to the museums and we were adventurous and walked to the white house . It was late so we just stood outside taking pics.

The hotel is economical and located in the heart of DC. The room was clean, neat, and comfortable. Historic building but excellent location and nearby eateries should keep your stomach full and taste buds busy. The staff at check in was very good. I will recommend to anyone looking to stay for a day or two and close to metro station

The food was delicious and the service was great. I would definitely come back. The bacon wrapped dates with goat cheese were fantastic.

Fun place with a great, consistent theme. New American food, which is pretty typical for downtown DC, but it's done well thanks to quality ingredients and good service. Would recommend for a nice lunch with colleagues or for casual business lunch. I've done both.

Made a last minute reservation for brunch while visiting for the weekend.

Our waiter Moses was great! Very attentive and informative of all the options. Everyone loved their food. Would definitely recommend if in the area.

Really cool place. Decor is great and the food is really special. Weird little flavours that go great together. The portions are small the waiter said. For the starter it was absolutely ridiculous how small it was for the price. But the small plates are great value for money.

Food was great! All plates are small plates. You’ll want to get at least two plates to feel full. I got the pear salad and the pan seared scallops. They were very delicious. Ambiance was great as well. Desert was tasty too. I got the brown sugar fudge cake.

Georgia Brown's is a good place to eat. I have had some bad meals, but usually the food is good. I like their catfish and the apple pie. When I want to eat out and cannot get a reservation at the places I love to go to, I will sometimes go here, since it's not difficult getting a reservation and the food is pretty good.

What a wonderful experience. This was my first time enjoying the brunch buffet at Georgia Brown's. I would give it a 5 but it didn't have crab legs or unlimited mimosas. But all of the food was outstanding. I would go again. And the waffles,? there are no words to describe how good they are. Hats off to the staff and to all of the chefs.

Whenever I can, I go to Georgia Brown’s. ALWAYS EXCELLENT. Superb, attentive service from staff who always make the experience a special one. BRING FRIENDS; it’s better when you’re enjoying it with others. I try to order a new entree every time, but I almost ALWAYS order the sangria.

The food was absolutely delicious! The flavors bounced off your mouth and were just absolutely fresh. Our server was very inattentive. She had too many tables and just could not do her job properly. Lastly to add to it, we spotted the manager for the check because we were just sitting there and asked him for the check. He never apologized or even asked how our experience was. We will not be returning.

Omg between the unlimited mimosas, buffet brunch and the live band what more could I have asked for. The waiter was outstanding. Overall a very memorable experience. Go check it out ?
