Hotel Legende in Samarkand

The courtyard setting for meals and relaxing makes this old, traditional house hugely atmospheric. Run by the enthusiastic owner, it caters mainly for small groups of French tourists and independent travellers of all ages. Rooms comfortable and adequate. Can be a little noisy if other guest stay up late talking. Typical Uzbek breakfasts, with lots of fruit, yogurt and eggs. Located in a quiet area within easy walking distance of the main sights.

This is a very very nice hotel with great atmosphere. The owner was extremely helpfull and managed to regain my mobilephone lost in a taxi through endless negotiations. What a helpfull man 😊 Room are nice and clean, breakfast is Well server - everything is totally fine 😊

Absolutely loved the experience! Please note that this is an authentic hotel, it is not your usual 5-star Western hotel that one might expect from it. It is not an Ibis or Ramada. I booked through Telegram through friends' recommendation. The owner/manager was super helpful, arranged me taxis, booked restaurants, helped me with the train tickets even. The rooms are pretty basic, they have the aircon, but no TVs and no fridges, but the place is just amazing - you feel like you are staying at an authentic uzbek place, which is absolutly beautiful inside. The morning breakfast exceeded my expectations - supertasty samsa (meat pies) which was the best I tried in Uzbekistan. Felt like a king! But again, the hospitality of the owner was next to none, which I would like to thank him again for, if he reads English. Very close (walking distance) from the major attractions. And a great value for money - the rooms are super-cheap by Western standards.

Comfy beds, building had loads of character, owner was incredibly friendly and helpful, fabulous breakfast. Bathroom a little rickety - toilet didn't always flush properly and shower covered the bathroom floor! otherwise would have been a 5-star review. Part of the building was under renovation at the time of our stay, but this didn't cause us any issues whatsoever and we were pleased to see this wonderful building being cared for.

We had a great time with Aziz, he was a great host. Breakfast was amazing and we had his Plov cooked by Aziz. Place is very central, walking distance from main attractions

Hotel has nice rooms, a beautiful courtyard and provides delicious home made breakfasts. Aziz is a great host and makes the best plov we’ve had in Uzbekistan!

We had a wonderful experience at the Legende! The hotel is an old house with a beautiful mulberry tree in the middle of the yard and rooms decorated with carpets and suzani that gives a very cozy atmosphere. We appreciated the hospitality, the owner is friendly and fun, speaks different languages and you can see he cares for what he does. He also cooked plov one night for all the guests and we had a nice dinner outside in the yard. Breakfast is also very good with home made products and a good variety.
We would definitely recommend it!

The experience at Hotel Legende was excellent! Location was in the middle of everything, the staff was wonderful and the hotel was just great. I would highly recommend Hotel Legende for any business or a pleasure trip!
