The hotel has so much potential, the location is perfect and the facility is well thought out. Unfortunately, there is the big but! The check-in process with a 30-minute wait, despite booking in advance, just takes too long. The facility looks run down and not kept up to date. There is rubbish everywhere and the beach is, in short, terrible. Even if the contamination is not self-generated, you simply have to ensure that it is kept clean in such a hotel category. In the entire area there is only one person who speaks halfway English. At the pool, in the restaurant and also at the reception, it is inexplicable that there was no English-speaking person. The promised offers in the hotel are largely non-existent. there is only the restaurant which offers its dishes with significantly inflated prices. French fries for $8 and cocktails well over $10 are just over the top. there are better hotels with 5 stars that offer their food at significantly fairer prices! The hotel is currently described as 5 stars but is very far from it! It's a shame... the management may have commented on this. I currently do not recommend booking any overnight stays here…. The hotel gets the second star rating for the rooms. these make the stay a little more bearable. New and clean.

The hotel reopened in January 2023 after a covid hiatus. Nothing on the hotel property looks like on the pictures, except for some green areas. The staff and the rooms are absolutely not ready for business. Spa is not working. Gym is open, at least the door is, but the air inside is bad. Only one restaurant is working - Tree House. Many parts of the hotel seem abandoned or in rebuild.
We paid 170 EUR per night for a basic room. It turned out to be an absolutely horrible value for money. After two days of constant complaining about everything, we were offered an upgrade to a Sunset Villa and free F&B for the entire stay. The villa was better than the original room and had a nice porch close to the ocean with a nice view. However, free F&B did little to improve our stay because the food was horrible. We ended up renting a scooter (at a nearby hotel, because our hotel was not able to organize one even though they offer this service) and eating outside on most occasions.
Check in/ out: very slow, 30 mins for each, air in the lobby humid and sticky
Room: dirty, asked for re-cleaning, sinks were clogged, absolutely no ventilation in the toilet, the smell stays forever in there. The villa we got afterwards was better.
English: restaurant staff does not speak any English at all, front office barely does, some did not understand the word "water"
F&B: Vietnamese food is very tasty and we like it a lot, but not here. The menu is limited to a handful of options and never changes. The only dishes which did not taste bad were steamed rice and Grissini. But prices were on par with established hotels on the island (e.g. Crowne Plaza, Intercontinental)
Service: Bad and inconsistent, everything takes a very long time, at least 30 mins, no matter what you ordered. We had a feeling, that our mere presence is an inconvenience for the staff working at the restaurant.
Sunset cruise: we were offered a complimentary sunset cruise. This turned out to be quite horrible. Not only were other guests present, which nobody warned us about, but also one of the incompetent waiters from the restaurant and a woman which may or may not belong to the hotel staff. Our presence on the boat was just as inconvenient for them as theirs for us. They were sodas and beer on board, but no water - typical for their thought-out service
