Mai Phuong Resort Phu Quoc in Phu Quoc Island

We stayed at the hotel for 3 nights in early February. The hotel is a 5-7 minute drive from Grand World. They have their own free tuk-tuk service that takes guests there in the mornings and evenings. On the way, you might spot monkeys, and unfortunately, a lot of trash. Going there in the dark isn't very pleasant; it's better to take a taxi. We arrived at the hotel before 2 PM and were told to wait, but at my request, they gave us a room that was already ready. Our bungalow was right by the sea with a gorgeous view. Everything was quite clean. We were with our 5-year-old child, and they didn't provide a pillow or towel for the child, but they also didn't charge extra. The bungalow itself was charming with new furniture, but the bathroom could have been tidier. Small ants were also quite a frequent sight in the room. The staff was lovely and friendly. I'd rate the breakfasts a 2; they don't even reach a 3. If you come at the end of breakfast, there's almost nothing left. There's definitely nothing to feed a child (though the fried bananas in a pancake were tasty, they were very greasy). The restaurant food wasn't great and took a long time. However, none of this spoiled our overall impression of the hotel. It's definitely good for a couple of days. Peace, quiet, nature. The pool is great, but the sea isn't swimmable. There's a lot of trash, sometimes covering the entire beach. Workers do walk around and clean, but there's trash in the water too. We knew this beforehand and didn't plan to swim anyway. This is a place to simply relax for a couple of days, escape the hustle and bustle, and sleep to the sound of the sea. Overall, it's not bad, but there's room for improvement.

This was the best place we visited in Phu Quoc, and it's a shame we couldn't stay longer than two nights because it was fully booked afterwards. The sea is just 30 meters from the bungalow, and the room was clean. The hotel restaurant was inexpensive and very high quality. If you're looking to just relax, this is the perfect spot. There's an electric shuttle that goes to the town where all the action is, but honestly, this is the kind of place you just don't want to leave. You just want to lie there and watch the sea under a coconut palm.

Although the location is a bit far, the environment is fantastic. The hotel offers motorcycle rentals, and it's only a ten-minute walk to Phu Quoc World.

the room service makes the the very clean and tidy everyday. The gardening has great heart in the settings ❤️❤️❤️
In addition, the breakfast has many fresh fruits, it’s delicious 😋
The free Tutu help us to travel to and fro is very wonderful service 👍👍👍

there is a little advice, to improve the beach, coz there too much stones under the water, may you try to remove some so that we can swim in the sea more safely.
There is another advice, the table tennis ball may be changed to standard ball instead the kids toy 😅😅😅

From my deep heart, Mai Phuong Resort is a great hotel

Wonderful hotel! Traditionally Vietnamese and that's great! No need to go there if you are looking for gloss and fashion... Everything will be extremely simple, but incredibly warm! They will always help you and respond to your request. The hotel rents motorbikes. The beach is cleaned, the pool is cleaned. You will not find borscht in the restaurant, traditional dishes await you. But it would be strange to go to another country for borscht and dumplings... The hotel is located in seclusion, surrounded by forest and lots of greenery. Plumeria smells fragrant during the day, crickets and frogs sing at night. Yes, the hotel is not new, but it is kept clean. Thanks to everyone, from the administration to the maids, for our wonderful vacation!

First of all, I chose this place because it was cheap, friendly, and quiet among the accommodations near the north. Although the transportation is not good, I arrived comfortably by morning sanding, and it was nice that I could go back and forth to Grand World by buggy. However, there were a lot of bugs in the room, so I told them about the inconvenience, and they immediately changed my room, so I had a very comfortable night's sleep!

The environment is comfortable, the scenery is beautiful, and the staff are very friendly and kind. The only downside is that it is a little remote and you can’t walk to other attractions, so you have to call a taxi. The hotel provides shuttle service, but the frequency is very low.

It's okay to stay in the resort. You can swim in the swimming pool. The road to the resort is a bit remote, so I was worried about the atmosphere, but I liked that they picked me up and dropped me off at Grand World by tuk-tuk.
