This is a small hotel right close to bars and restaurants of Tirana's upmarket Biloku neighbourhood. It is a pretty decent place for a base in the Albanian capital. My room was really nice and had clearly been recently refurbished. There is a lot of building going on in the area....including on an adjacent lot ....but this was not a problem when I was there. I stayed there for 1 week and it was the best! The thing i liked more was the pool area and the restaurant. The room was cosy but classy and everything worked just fine and i can confidently say that I had the best sleep of my life. Would highly recommend.

We stayed at the Santa Quaranta for two nights in late February on a visit from Greece. We were probably the only guests in staying at the hotel at the time and were very well looked after!. None of the 3 restaurants are open during the winter. Was part of the reason I went with a resort. Its not close to any restaurants so had to drive again defeating the purpouse of a resort. We were disappointed..The Hotel had a distinct smell as we entered.Room was Spartan and dated. The bathroom had an attempted upgrade which was very poorly completed. The property location is centrally situated. The rooms are a little on the small side. Biggest drawback was the pervasive and persistent cigarette smoke and cigar smoke smell, both exterior with the entrance/outside cafe area, the lobby, the bar, the elevator and hallways, and rooms. This singular smell issue will prevent us from choosing this location in the future.

It is customary in Albania to smoke in every corner. In the hotel smoking from the lobby floor goes up to the rooms and it's just unbearable. It's hard to breathe. The clothes stinked, even in the room.

Please note this is only for those who go by car. We thought it was close to the bus terminal which is why we book the stay here, yet there is no way to walk to/from the bus terminal to reach this hotel as there is a highway to cross. Even the taxi charged high for just few mins drive from the mall. For travellers without car it is not convenient as there is no restaurant or convenient store nearby...

It is a good hotel but if you have car, mind this. Without car there is no way to get anyway from hotel. There is no shops or restaurants around. There is a trade center near but you can't get there by foot because you will have to walk on highway. Also the restaurant in the hotel not always working so you can stay hunger. The overall impression is good, it's the Balkans - Albania from the airport is literally "crammed" with people and cars, as well as the transfer traffic jams on the highway. Unloading luggage from the bus in the middle of full traffic is literally a stunt. Stayed here the night, brilliant hosts.

A modern, very clean hotel run by a very nice family. They were incredibly friendly and helpful during my stay. They had a big garage for my bike, good wifi, air conditioning/heating, and a communal outdoor terrace. I enjoyed meeting the family and would certainly return if I go back.
