VERY BAD SERVICE. They don’t want to help you. They are liars. Rooms are very dusty and muf.

Review The place itself is absolutely beautiful, and the setting is lovely. Unfortunately, our experience with the staff at the entrance to the swimming pool completely ruined our visit. We asked whether we needed a reservation to use the pool and were specifically told that a reservation was not necessary. However, when we tried to enter, we were suddenly told that there was no space available for us. What was particularly frustrating was watching around 15 other people arrive after us and being allowed in while we were turned away. The situation became even more upsetting when the curly-haired girl at the entrance told us there was no space for us, and then the security guard made a very inappropriate comment, saying that we could not get in because we could not afford to buy champagne, while the other guests who were allowed in supposedly could. I honestly don’t understand how anyone can make an assumption about someone’s financial situation simply by looking at them. That comment was extremely disrespectful and completely unnecessary. It’s a shame because the place itself is beautiful, but the way we were treated left us feeling embarrassed, judged, and very unwelcome. Staff should treat all guests with the same level of respect, regardless of how they look or what they choose to spend their money on.

Staff has disgusting attitude towards customers. They are very arrogant, dismissive and judgemental. Beautiful location though.

Very Disappointing Customer Service The resort itself is beautiful, with a stunning location and impressive facilities. Unfortunately, the customer service completely ruined our experience. The way we were treated by some of the staff, particularly around the swimming pool, was extremely disappointing and unprofessional. We were given unclear information about access to the pool and were made to feel unwelcome. For a resort presenting itself as a high-end, five-star property, I expected much better communication, fairness and basic respect towards customers. A beautiful resort means very little if the staff make guests feel uncomfortable or unwanted. Customer service should be one of the most important priorities in a five-star establishment, and unfortunately, that was seriously lacking during our visit. I hope management takes these complaints seriously and provides better training and supervision to the staff, because the attitude we experienced does not reflect the standards you would expect from such a resort.

**Very disappointing experience despite a beautiful resort** We stayed at Select Hill Resort Tirana from 13–15 August and booked a Deluxe Double Room directly through the hotel. Unfortunately, despite the beautiful surroundings and setting, our experience was extremely disappointing. When we arrived at around 6:30pm, our room was 29.5°C. We switched on the air conditioning, but after several minutes it was clear that it wasn't cooling the room. We tried calling reception using the number provided, but the call would not go through, so we had to go downstairs to report the problem. The receptionist initially told us that the air conditioning wasn't working because we had left a door open. We explained that the balcony door was firmly closed. She said she would activate the AC from reception and monitor it. We were attending a wedding reception that evening, starting at 8:15pm, and had also requested an iron. We were told it would arrive within a few minutes, but after 30 minutes it still hadn't arrived. We eventually had to go back to reception. I went to the wedding while my husband waited for the iron and was only able to join the event around 9:30pm. When we returned at midnight, the room was still 29.5°C, despite the AC supposedly having been activated from reception. I went back downstairs and spoke to another member of staff, who again suggested that a door had been left open. After a lengthy discussion, he eventually came to the room, confirmed that no doors were open and acknowledged that there was a problem. We were told that the maintenance person was unavailable and, because the hotel was full, there was nothing they could do. After insisting that we could not sleep in a room that was almost 30°C, we were finally moved to another room at around 2am. Unfortunately, the replacement room smelt strongly of cigarette smoke and appeared to have been smoked in. As a non-smoker, I found the smell extremely unpleasant and was unable to sleep properly. The room also did not have the same facilities as the Deluxe Double Room we had booked, including the hydro bath. Staff attempted to deal with the smell by spraying the room, but this made little difference. By 6am I went back to reception again. When I explained what had happened, I was particularly disappointed by the response. I mentioned that other guests had experienced similar air-conditioning problems the previous day and that the maintenance person had apparently resolved theirs. Rather than simply listening to my complaint, the receptionist asked me for their room numbers, which felt as though she was questioning whether I was telling the truth. This was extremely upsetting after having spent most of the night awake in a room smelling of smoke. Eventually, we were moved to another room at around 10am. Unfortunately, the problems continued that afternoon. I went to the bar with my daughter for food and drinks. The surroundings themselves were lovely and we were enjoying the atmos

2nights, 248€ both. You can easily buy a day entrance to outdoor pool and save money) but it's freezing cold! I wouldn't recommend staying in that place. Overall the territory and hotel is beautiful. But it is definitely overpriced. We stayed there for celebrating birthday, and and we chose that place especially for their indoor spa complex and outside pool. For the record, before booking I asked specifically questions about indoor and outdoor pools, nobody didn't mention that something is not working right now. As well as about airport shuttle. As a result the water inside and outside swimming pools was freezingly cold even during a very hot day. Inside spa wasn't functioning, I mean it was kind of, but there was no steam in the steam room, Turkish bath was cold, and we definitely needed some time to find a representative. It was impossible to book spa treatment even though they were few people and definitely there were available time slots, but seems like there was no specialist working, because the rooms for massage were empty. Breakfast was fine but limited diversity, I mean you won't stay hungry, but there is no even fresh green leaves, the ones that were there we're not fresh. One day I asked to make a poached egg, they really tried but was no luck. Also I have to admit that the breakfast coffee tasted bad so we bought additional tasty coffee at bar. Also, feels like no one is reading requests of guests before arrival , as our mentioning that we celebrate in birthday and we asked to arrange some stuff, it wasn't noticed but it's fine they didn't have to. But we asked for a shuttle from the airport because we had a late flight, no one really answered us and we had to get a taxi in the middle of the night. At the top of all of that, we forgot our cardigan there, and they didn't even check the room properly, saying that the housekeeping is not working right now so they cannot check the room. So overall I would not recommend staying at the place. Because it cost like 248€ two nights with some discount, but you "enjoy" average breakfast, badly working spa area, freezingly cold outside pool (where you even can't choose the places, because people are separated there by outside guests, hotel guests etc) We stayd 2 nights there, and speaking honestly there are more friendlier as well as budget friendly places where you can experience great service, attitude and amazing views. Because we stayed 2more nights and the other place not far, so it was a reasonable comparison:)
