Hotel Kristo in Blagoevgrad

Declare shock. I have never stayed in a worse hotel. There is no one at Reception to deal with. No hot water (I had the tap on for 15 minutes and no hot water). All afternoon into the evening there was a party with loud music and we could not get to the room. We were told that at 11 they would stop, but they were lying. I was ready to call the police. No good hangers for towels. The windows don't close well and there is a lot of noise from outside. We sat down to eat and there was no menu in English. Apparently, they will close the hotel after a while as it is impossible to keep with such behavior...

It is not serious when you know people will come at 15:00 to make them waiting 1 hour for accomodation! Absolutely ridiculous!

The worst experience ever! I travel the world and this kind of place I didn't see even in Bangladesh! All started from very beginning, extremely hard to find, there are no any direction signs and you need to drive throw unmarked road. Evan hotel is listing like they have parking, parking do not exist! Bed is clean, all else dirty! air condition do not work same as a hot water! Thank God it was July! Curtains was washed when the hotel was build, dust is flying all over! Food is under quality of fast food restaurant, if you book with breakfast, you will have to pay for coffee and water additional so its not worth it. I payed for service on arriving and gentleman which present him self as a owner name "Dimitar", said the invoce will be issued on leaving. I stayed two nights, but slept only one! Owners friend had party all night long! Wednesday morning, 11.06.2025. on the check out, the same "gentlemen" was hiding! Till today,05.07.2025. I didn't get the invoce, evan I called at least 100 times! One time he is in Greece, second time his account company is busy, third time he have control from tax officer, forth its just arrived 27 guests from Israel....
What I can not understand is, how this kind of shady accommodation can evan be listed on Booking.com!?
This kind of place do not belong to be on Booking!
As I question around, I heard rumours that this shady owners use this hotel just for pulling out the money from EU fonds!
If you really have other option, do not book this hotel under any circumstances! There are nice and normal accommodations and owners across Blagoevgrad! My mistake was that when I saw the first "red flag", didn't run the hell away!

Wants many more. The atmosphere is very good, but the service is bad and the room in which I navodnov when using the bathroom.

We went there for one night. The room was ok. The bathroom was a bit dirty and we had just one small blanket. The biggest problem,we had,was to get breakfast. We asked the receptionist and she was first unsure,where we can get the breakfast. When we went to the breakfastroom the waiter showed us just the coffee and tea mashine and left us alone. The mashine didn't worked. He repaired it, but didn't offered us something to eat. We had to ask him!! It felt like we had to beg him. He was really unfriendly. I can't recommend this Hotel.
