Hotel Paradise in Sofia

Upon arrival at the hotel, we already noticed a musty smell. We don't need luxury but we were curious as to what would be next. Upon checking in, we were assigned room 102. The smell there was what could be smelled in the entrance hall but x5. We looked at the bathroom. This one was FULL of mold. (Pictures attached). We didn't feel like getting sick so we were assigned room 202 after complaining to the front desk. The woman said this is the last room we can offer you because everything is full. With high hopes we left by elevator to floor 2. Upon entering this room it was even worse. The window frames, ceiling and bathroom full of mold! We took our valise and left again for the reception. The woman had no more room and did not understand why we were not satisfied with the room. Suddenly after a phone she conjured room 504 out of her sleeve. This was our very last chance according to her, that was all she could do for us. We headed for 504 and again the same defects in the room. Black mold throughout the entire bathroom. The lady behind the counter became aggressive and threatened to call the police. She called the manager of the hotel and placed him on speaker. He told us to leave because otherwise the police will pick us up. We had to leave without a refund. If the rooms are "normal" in there eyes i don't want to know what the kitchen looks like. Really people stay out of this hotel because otherwise you will loose 5years of life because of health problems and you will wake up with mushrooms at the forehead. This hotel is dirty as hell.

Black mold in bathroom ..rooms not updated in decades....nice staff but i would not stay here.
