Very, very nice hotel, now its name is Asteri. Only a minute or two away from the very center of Bansko! Cozy! It has a SPA center, shuttle to the Gondola lift. Very delicious breakfast! I recommend! Very helpful staff! One of the very few hotels in Bansko, working during the pandemic lockdown! The owners are very pleasant people! Great choice! And really good prices.

Super nice rooms and very good service.

Nothing special. Quite run down. Food is good and staff is mostly friendly. Breakfast only starts at 8, which is very inconvenient if you want to ski. No possibility whatever l whatsoever to get your breakfast earlier in a box of something. It was OK, but we wouldn't repeat our stay.

The hotel may not be the most luxurious one in the world, but the owner and the personnel are extremely friendly, patient, and want you to have a good time. The food was good and the beds comfortable. They gave us an extra bed/extra room when we asked for it and were always willing to help us out.

We ate at Mario's Complex, had pie and yogurt, and drank coffee. It was a very local experience. The owner was very charming and nice, and we really, really enjoyed ourselves. I highly recommend eating there. The atmosphere was very, very good.

The rooms are pretty small and most of the time you can hear the wind blowing in the corridor. When someone else opens the door of his rooms, our rooms door was moving everytime. Other than that it was ok.

Bicycle tourist here. There is a space that has a door. It’s a hallway where you can put your bike. You can lock your bike to furniture. It’s… probably safe. Good value for money. Family of 4, 2 bedrooms, plenty of space, comfy beds. Kitchenette missing some basic extras like tea towel, small pan, wooden spoon but we improvised easily enough (campers!). We stayed in July after an accident near the highway. A great Respect, and for the host ,who showed a lot of humanity, and help in a foreign country and in a rather difficult situation for us. About the hotel, it's a good location near the highway leading to Kulata. The room was clean, equipped with air conditioning and TV.

We stayed 2 nights. The distance from Bansko Gondola is about 10 km. The room is so huge. But the bed is low and soft. The breakfast is enough and also hotel lobby and bar arw so cool.

We just checked in. The place is quiet now in early March (as the ski season is wrapping up). The rooms are large with nice amenities. The price is very reasonable. We really like this out of the way, hidden gem. It’s not the fancy new spa like the ones popping up all around the area. This is classic Bulgaria! Kartala is the best place to ski in Bulgaria! Period! Ski runs were perfectly groomed, not much waiting time for the lift, and the best is spectacular 360 ° view on the top!!

If you want to escape the massive crowds and high prices of Bansko or Borovets, Kartala is the ultimate local secret. Tucked away in the Rila Mountains near Blagoevgrad, this resort offers a pure, "no-nonsense" alpine experience that focuses on quality over quantity.

The place is great, the lift is nice, fast and comfy. The slopes are wide, but some of them are very steep and wouldn't recommend for beginners. If there is a lot of snow the place is a great place to spend a few days. The price for the lift is affordable and the cafeteria offers good meals.

One of the best places to ski in Bulgaria! Certainly very unique in it's location and style. There is almost nothing around, so you can ski freely ball you want, and there is an elevator going from your hotel room to the ski life ..I kid you not! Overall, we had so much fund and will repeat for sure!!:)

The best off-piste spot in Bulgaria! Stick to the pow 20-50m right from the lift for the time of your life! PS: brace yourselves for some technical narrow paths at the bottom of the hill! Keep in mind that you simply have to take your board off for 20m of walking at the very bottom, but IT'S WORTH IT!!!
