We spent a lot of time at the casino. It is the biggest in bansko but much smaller than international casinos you might be used to. Great that they have a separate smoking casino but the doors remain open so you can smell smoke in the non smoking side too. The hotel in general is high value for a very affordable price: nice SPA centre, with the best Hamman I know so far, good airco, 24 hours reception, variated and complete breakfast, free parking space nearby. Good location away from the big noise and yet close to the centre (walking distance). Very helpful and friendly staff, they all speak well English.

Stayed here over New Year's. Our room was nice and clean, the staff were really helpful and friendly. Every day, we just told the hotel what we want to do and they made all the arrangements/bookings and provided us with a driver. The food is excellent! and breakfast is laid out till late, as is supper: so no need to get up early or rush back to the hotel. 10/10 would definitely come again.

Staff is very nice! Good location. It seems that they put effort to renovate the hotel, so we really tried to sympathise with them. The thing I find annoying is that they promote spa, when 1/3 of it is not really usable. For the other 1/3, it seems as if they don’t want to set it up, if the hotel is not busy with guests.

This is a picture from the pool in Chateau Vaptzarov. The place also has a gym and spa. A couple of hours’ drive from Sofia in the very picturesque town of Bansko, the hotel has ample parking space and is vary easy to get to.  Staff, more specifically reception, restaurant and servicing are very courteous and kind. A cheap and easy hotel in Bansko. No thrills and breakfast is suspect but you can’t really complain given our room was less than a tenner each per person. You can walk to the ski lift but they provide a free shuttle too.

Solo traveller. I stay in a one bed apartment and was thankful for the air-conditioning as it was hot outside. Plenty of room for one person and there was a view of the mountain from the windows. I had to buy some microwave cookware as there was no specific items of that kind in the apartment but that was the only thing that let the place down.

Really nice place, and nice staff. A little outdated, simple and very basic rooms, there is room for improvement in the level of facilities and the experience of the hotel. it feels like they haven't renovated it in a very long time. Breakfast only average.

Summary - decent, not luxurious, but the breakfast timings mess up skiing. Room - we (4 of us) stayed in an apartment. It was simple but decent for us. The is a kitchenette, but we had no plates, cutlery etc. We did ask for some, but it was taken away a day later. Spa - the steam room and sauna are good, especially after skiing. It closes at 7pm, which worked for us. Staff - everyone was helpful...

Nice and quaiet hotel. Till to city center and to telegondola, there are 600m. There are cars free of charge for telegondola every morning and in the afternoon Kind staff. There is spa, parking, bar, conference hall. Rich breakfast.

The room was OK. Comfortable beds. The bathroom was old and with no toiletaries. We had to ask for additional set of glasses. The Spa is nice. Maybe the weakest spot is the underground pafking(terrible for parking big car and there were a lot of animal fecalies)and the food at the restaurant. The breakfast was not so well arranged. The biggest positive for this hotel is their personnel.
