Hello Sofia Guesthouse in Sofia

We booked in this hotel, and they confirmed it.
But they canceled the reservation prior to our arrival( and i had to call to know it.. Else we would have been stuck outside of the building..)
If you want to book here, i highly advise you to call them to check if they have staff to accomodate you.. Else you might have an unpleasant surprise when you arrive

The booking had been confirmed with the request for the late checkin
As you told me you didn t reply because you tought it was for another day ( open ur computer to check when customer book would be helpfull and maybe more proffesional)
Indeed you refunded, but i do not consider this a good gesture as you REFUSED to take us in despite accepting the booking, so yes sounds resonable to refund us.
You told it yourself, screenshot for proof if needed, that you are short staffed and have a lot of property to manage, while i can hear that.. Again it s not my fault, and the booking had been accepted ( again screenshot for proof if u wish).
If you had been transparent from the start when the booking came to your system, and refused it/ called me immediatly to cancel it, i would not have such a bad impression on your hostel.

No ac no heat. Bad wifi reception in the room. The curtains are not thick enough to block out the light. Walls are so thin that you can hear people in the middle of the night. Sent multiple messages to the owner and he didn't respond to any of them.

Room small and dark. The kitchen is in another building and you have to walk on the street. Only one shower working for multiple rooms. At the check-in I had to wait more than 30 minutes because the owner didn't show up and there was only a woman that didn't speak any english.
The wifi is in the kitchen and in the room it was extremely poor.
I wrote to the owner and he didn't replied, he canceled the reservation so that I couldn't even give a feedback on Booking.
