Reviews
Rooms are nice and fresh. WiFi works great. Pool and sauna are spacious. Be aware that there are swimming lessons conducted so it might be almost fully occupied ( only one lane available for hotel guests).
I missed the breakfast opportunity offered by the Accor app. Price was 14€ online versus 20€ at the counter. Next time would give them a call about the price…
Things are well organized
It’s a nice size of pool and I generally enjoyed my swim during my stay. However, there were a few disappointing issues regarding the pool.
I’m not against swimming lessons being held in the pool, but they should really be scheduled during non-peak hours. On Sunday night the pool was quite busy, and a couple of guests hesitated to go in because of the lessons.
It’s also surprising that guests without swimming caps are allowed to use shower caps instead - especially when proper swimming caps are available for purchase at the reception. I even noticed hair floating in the pool, which was unpleasant. It’s a very common practice to use swimming caps in Europe and many pools are very strict about it.
The whirlpool was out of order (I had read this in previous Google reviews but didn’t expect it to still be the case), and the steam room was also out of function. Overall, I couldn’t enjoy the full wellness facilities.
⸻
Cleanliness:
Not up to a 5-star standard. The coffee machine was dirty - the capsule tray was filthy, the water wasn’t filled for the next guest, and there was a noticeable stain on the table.
⸻
Staff:
The doorman was absolutely helpful and the concierge was efficient.
⸻
Breakfast:
Good variety of food, but the quality could be improved. Also, the food warmer lights are positioned too low and are dangerous - I burned the back of my hand.
⸻
Room:
The room was spacious and well-equipped. The Nuxe amenities were a nice touch, and the bed was comfortable. However, there was no room cleaning during the day. I left around 11 a.m. and pressed the room cleaning button on the panel, and returned at about 2-3 p.m., but the room hadn’t been tidied. I bumped into a cleaner in the corridor and kindly asked her (or her colleague) to clean the room while I went to the pool. After two hours, nothing had been done, which was very disappointing. I didn’t bother asking again since I planned to stay in for the evening.
⸻
Air-con:
Although there was a control panel, the temperature was centrally controlled. It was a bit too warm but I managed to open the window to get some fresh air in.
⸻
Overall, the hotel offers good facilities, but much greater attention to detail is needed - especially for a property that markets itself as a 5-star hotel and under the Accor group. I would rate it closer to a 4-star, mainly thanks to the presence of a pool.
