I usually don’t leave reviews, but my two-night stay at Filmores was very disappointing. Check-in took more than 30 minutes, even though I was exhausted from traveling. To make matters worse, the guest behind me was still waiting to check in hours later when I returned from dinner. The staff were unprofessional, openly swearing and making inappropriate comments while I was waiting to check-in.
The room itself was fine and the location is convenient, but the service was unacceptable. I would not stay here again, and I recommend others think carefully before booking.

The front desk staff provided excellent customer service. She was kind, friendly, and made my stay pleasant. Because of the service, I will continue staying at Filmores Hotel whenever I visit Toronto.

I had no idea I was booking a hotel with a strip club. Had I done my research I may then have discovered how rough the surrounding area is. It's probably the least salubrious part of Toronto.
Bed was uncomfortable, I had to pay everything up front and everything offered is the absolute bare minimum.

Let's start with fact that hotel sharing entrance with gentleman club.

I had one towel cut in 2 pieces- to make 2 towels tho
Place could be cleaned better aswell

Excellent value for money. Especially for a city-center location, it's number one.

The hotel facilities are old, but the service staff are very friendly. The location in the city center is a bit noisy at night.

This place was great. I think there's a strip club or something downstairs, but ironically this was the best of the three places I stayed at this summer in Toronto. It was super clean, with nice staff and no nonsense, and the price was right. Also the east end is hilarious.

I was concerned about staying here due to there being a club downstairs. This place turned out to be nice. There was a vending machine. The receptionists and cleaning staff were kind and well responsive. Only thing to take note of is that there is a deposit of $50.

Horrible service. I went to this location at 3:45 pm on January 9th 2018. The girl working there is eating while making other people's food. Then she starting talking on her cellphone. Then it was my turn to be served and she started preparing food for the skip the dishes guy that arrived after me. She needs to be fired.

Our first time at Smoke's. We had the premium beef (I think). It was good. I'd probably try a different option next time. There is only a stand up bar to eat here. No seating. We thought we'd take it to a nearby park to eat, but the neighborhood was sketchy. People were friendly and helpful.

Came here with a friend late at night. Even though there were only two people working at the time, our orders came super quick and tasted incredible. The workers were so sweet and we will definitely be coming back. Thanks so much to Josh and Jamal for being so kind.
