Service was excellent. Friendly and helpful staff. My room was good. However, the bathroom looked like it belonged in a 3 star hotel. Wallpaper peeling off, stains on the walls. The bed was suuuuuuuper comfy. One of the best hotel beds I’ve ever slept on. In room safe was big - can hold a laptop. Walls are paper thin. I could hear guests in their rooms across the hall.
Wifi was excellent. Restaurant was great. Walking distance to Union station, CN tower and Scotiabank arena. There is a pub, restaurant and corner store on the same street.

Clean! Front desk lady was able to get me an early room.

Our newly renovated superior king room is spacious, clean, quiet and I could sleep very well as the mattress and pillows are good quality. Breakfast is good and the restaurant staff service excellent. The hotel is located in the heart of downtown and major attractions and eateries are within 1 to 2 km walk. Near all the public transport hub like subway, streetcar and buses. Highly recommend to stay at Novatel Toronto Centre if you visit Toronto.

Great
Location is very walkable to everything. We heard a little noise from patrons from the restaurants across the street but nothing over the top, and rooms were fairly sound proof. Filtered water dispensers everywhere. Small quiet pool with long hours. Housekeeping staff friendly.

Average
Renovated rooms were still a little grungy. Bathroom updated and modern though lots of dirt along baseboards.

Needs improvement
Towels and bathrobes were so old. They were certainly clean but very worn out and rough. The bathrobe had a hole in it. No lotion. Carpet was a little eh.

A bit subpar for a Novotel Hotel particularly at the nightly price.

The hotel is located in the city center, close to the central train station, making it very convenient for travel. There's also a convenience store right next door.

The bed and pillows in the room were very comfortable, I slept exceptionally well at night. Breakfast was decent.

Really clean and the location is great. I especially loved the breakfast; it was delicious and the staff were all so friendly.

Excellent location, very convenient for getting around. You can even walk to the attractions. The breakfast was delicious too! The staff were warm and welcoming, but the hotel didn't provide disposable slippers. I hope they can offer them in the future.

My husband and I came to Toronto to see a show and chose the Novotel to stay at because of the location close to Union Station. We showed up early with luggage and requested if we could leave the luggage stored until our check-in time. They advised it was no problem at all. They also checked to see if any rooms were ready and to our surprise they were able to book us into our room right away. The room was clean and did not have that musty smell as some hotel rooms do. There was a personalized message on the TV screen. After our matinee show, we headed back to the hotel and were greeted upon entry. We relaxed in our hotel room and with the view out of our window to some great restaurants we chose The Keg to eat at which was right across the street and we did not need to wear our coats. After supper, we went for a dip in the pool and relaxed in the hot tub. We took a tour of the gym, which was well equipped, and each washroom had a sauna. The bed and pillows were very comfortable and we both slept right through the night. The street is not long and there is not a lot of traffic so there was not any traffic noise that we noticed. We paid the extra when we booked for the breakfast buffet. Best choice ever! There were so many options to choose from. From scrambled eggs to smoothies from sausage and bacon to fruit and yogurt from toast and pastries to cold cuts and cheese. And if there was something that you wanted, that wasn’t there, the kitchen was willing to accommodate. And the pot of coffee they leave on your table was awesome. We will definitely be staying at this hotel the next time we are in Toronto.

Great Location, friendly staff in the the lobby and good breakfast and coffee, great cleaning staff.

Rooms were mostly clean besides a couple of towels with suspicious stains that I discarded.

Beds were comfortable and clean but pillows were too thick for my liking but that’s a personal preference.

I think the rooms are starting to show some age but overall for the price and location I would come back.

Thanks to Dolphy and Gabriel for hosting our group and providing a genuinely friendly service. Loved the beet salad and the salmon. And the Resling wine hit the right spot, on target!

Great food, great atmosphere, great staff! Lots of great options for every type of water and preferences. It is pricey but what do you expect for amazing food and service downtown!

WOW...what a place great food as always. Great Service. I love how they write your name on the plate for your birthdays! Atmosphere could be a bit more lively but ok

I've been here a half dozen times and it's usually quite good. This time was completely different. Calamari appetizer, although delicious was TINY. I have this every visit and this was half the size of normal. Unacceptable for 13 bucks. Seafood spagetini had one of the three seafood items missing. Portion size again was TINY. This was lunch sized at best. Shrimp were also TINY, not what you expect in a higher end restaurant. Some mussels that hadn't opened during cooking were still served! Service was fine as usual but not sure I can go back. Very disappointing as this was one of my go to's.

Celebrated a great birthday!! Great service food was amazing. Although the atmosphere could use some uplifting compared to the location on Bayview. Food makes you forget about the atmosphere so not a big factor
