Incredible experience from start to finish. Hospitality staff were very respectful and courteous, and were more than willing to help with any questions. It was my first stay at the Ritz for a private gala, and I had made an honest oversight on my booking. Upon telling the hotel manager (Marvin, I believe), he went out of his way to ensure I get the right booking deal for gala members, which was a great treat! Service with the dining staff was also impeccable. Overall a wonderful experience and beautiful room. I will definitely be back!

I had a reservation at The Ritz-Carlton Toronto but unfortunately was unable to stay due to circumstances completely outside of my control. My Emirates flight from Toronto to Dubai was pushed back by approximately two weeks due to major travel disruptions affecting flights in the Middle East.

As a resident of British Columbia, there are limited options to travel to Dubai. My itinerary required flying to Toronto the night before in order to catch the Emirates flight the following day. When my flight schedule changed, I contacted the hotel hoping they could help adjust my reservation dates.

I fully understand hotels have policies regarding reservation changes. However, what was disappointing was the complete lack of flexibility or willingness to assist, even though the situation was clearly outside of my control and widely reported.

During the same trip I had reservations at several other hotels, and they were all able to accommodate the change or offer reasonable solutions. Unfortunately, The Ritz-Carlton Toronto was the only property that refused to offer any assistance.

For a luxury brand known for service, I expected at least some effort to help in an unforeseen situation like this. Travel disruptions can happen to anyone, and how a hotel supports its guests during those moments says a lot about its commitment to hospitality.

I hope management reviews this situation and considers showing more flexibility to guests affected by major travel disruptions in the future. I would also welcome the opportunity to discuss this situation directly with management if there is any possibility of finding a reasonable resolution.

(Response back to Owner)
Dear Ritz-Carlton Toronto Reservations Team,

Thank you for your response.

I understand that the booking was made through Expedia. However, I have been in active communication with Expedia regarding this matter, and they have confirmed that they attempted to contact your property multiple times to request approval for a date change due to the extraordinary travel disruptions affecting my Emirates flight.

Unfortunately, according to Expedia, they were unable to receive the necessary authorization from the property to proceed with any accommodation or modification.

For transparency, I have attached a screenshot from Expedia confirming that they attempted to reach out to the hotel on my behalf.

Given the circumstances — an international flight disruption that was entirely outside of my control — I had hoped the property would be willing to show some flexibility, especially considering Ritz-Carlton’s reputation for exceptional guest service.

At this point, I would sincerely appreciate if the hotel could review the situation once more and work with Expedia to authorize a reasonable resolution, such as allowing the date change.

I value the Ritz-Carlton brand and was hoping to experience the property during my trip, which makes this situation particularly disappointing.

I look forward to your reconsideration.

Kind regards,Mr. Kumar

Compliments to the entire team at the Ritz-Carlton Toronto!

From the moment we arrived, the service level was exceptional. We received a welcoming note from the general manager, Lukas Boeckmann and many others on his team assisted with making our stay memorable.

Special thanks to Chad from EPOCH (one of the hotel restaurants) who went out of his way to have a special beverage not offered at the hotel, purchased and sent to our room with his compliments.

The housekeeping staff was amazing and we were fortunate enough to work with Luisa during our stay. We also had the pleasure of working with Paul as he performed double duty both as house-car driver and as a member of the bell staff team.

Finally, thanks to the front desk team who helped shape our stay with helpful suggestions and secured a beautiful room for our visit.

Strong recommendation for this Ritz-Carlton property!

We celebrated my husband’s birthday with a staycation at The Ritz-Carlton, and the experience was nothing short of exceptional from start to finish.

Farhan welcomed us with the brightest smile and ensured that every detail of our stay was taken care of with warmth and professionalism right from the moment we arrived.

The spa experience truly stood out. Cristina, Raluca, and Islande were absolutely phenomenal - gracious, highly skilled, and incredibly attentive. They went above and beyond to make the celebration feel special, thoughtfully offering sparkling wine while we relaxed at the spa. Their service was refined, warm, and truly world-class.

Our in-room dining experience was equally impressive. Room service was prompt and seamless, and the food quality exceeded expectations.

We also enjoyed dinner at Epoch and breakfast at Loca, and both experiences were outstanding. The food was delicious and beautifully presented, and the service was impeccable - attentive without being intrusive.

Overall, The Ritz-Carlton delivered a flawless and memorable birthday celebration. Every touchpoint reflected excellence, hospitality, and genuine care. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and look forward to returning.

Arrival was interesting as we didn't see any Valet. Eventually someone did come over. Great place. Staff very friendly. Jenny at the club lounge, phenomenal! Surprised no chargers in the rooms. QR Code for in room dining wasn't working as I couldn't get my order for breakfast next day. No mini bar. Great toiletries, having a razor and shaving cream was a nice touch. Not having my room on Club Lounge floor disappointing. Great location to see a game or a show. Toca restaurant was wonderful and Grace our server was very nice and made our dinner special.

The bathroom sink was filthy, and the booking included a sofa for sleeping, but it turned out to be curved and uncomfortable… It was nowhere near as good as a Ritz-Carlton in China. I will never book this hotel again.

Very comfortable and housekeeping is very good.
The down stair LANO restaurant is the best place to have a cup of coffee, there are all kind and nice waitresses and waiters. The TOCA restaurant offers the best breakfast options in everyday. It’s a great 8days staying memory.

The room is spacious and the location is great. The service is also good. Breakfast is made to order. The omelets and muffins are delicious.

It was a great experience staying in an overseas hotel. The breakfast was also good.

There is no worse, only worse, the service attitude is sub-par, the hardware is like a three-star hotel, old and shabby!

The prices are a bit high. There are no children's portions. The food is excellent, very quick with the appetizers and main dishes. Excellent service and excellent food

I happened upon this place one evening for dinner, and because I was hungry and tired of looking for a place to eat, I thought I would give it a try. I ordered the Greek salad and salmon. The Greek salad was mostly lettuce covered with grated cheese and dressing with 2 olives, 2 cherry tomatoes and a few small chunks of cucumber. The cheese, dressing and 2 olives were tasty, however, I also received a lettuce stem which was very unappealing. The salmon plate was absolutely horrible. The salmon was so overcooked there were bits of it that were actually inedible. Bland minute rice, bland steamed chunky vegetables, a few wedges of potato that tasted like lemon and bland overcooked salmon for $29. Like I said, I was hungry and tired after travelling to Toronto. I choked back that plate of "food" and left in disbelief that this place averages 3.8 stars. My server was lovely which is why I'm rating 2 stars - which should be the average Google rating. Never eat here!

Go here if you are between 40 and 70+, and want to spend some pension money. Dont expect great service. Food is soft and bland at times, salty at times but it also comes a mismatch of presumably Greek flavors even tho none of the "chefs" are Greek. If they are they must be tired of cooking. Prices are high so you feel you had a good meal. Wine selection ok.
08.12.2017 Sanj
Great food and service. Went there at lunch and we had a reservation so got seated inordinately. Orders were all taken and were correct upon serving. Staff was friendly and helpful. Great place to get some Greek food. Prices were in line with any restaurant downtown.

Great indian buffet. Fresh food, always tasty. Their naan is also so fresh and soft. Waiters arevery friendly. Its right by my office so i enjoy the lunch buffet every now and then, which is a good price. The dinner buffet is also good

Superb Indian buffet. Never had a meal here that wasn't perfect. Great service also.
10.12.2017 Michael
Delicious! But you pay King Street prices. (I didn't have the buffet). The service is great. But you pay $15 for an entree, Without the rice and the naan. That is extra. Anywhere else in Toronto and they come as part of the entree. But not this place. Otherwise great! The aromas and the smells are Ultra amazing Once you walk in! The smell just holds you in. Love it!
03.12.2017 rob
I ordered (take out) the chicken vindaloo and I asked them to make it extra spicy. Couldn't have been any milder and I was given maybe 5 tiny cubes of chicken in there. Just stingy to the max. Sauce was tasty, though (hence the two stars).

I paid online through their website and then the guy tried to get me to pay at the terminal again when I went to pick it up. I suppose I'll check my statement shortly but I expect that I'll be charged twice and have to fight them on this.

Overall an unpleasant experience and I will stay far away in the future, even though they're a 45 second walk away from my place.

We went there with friends. Food was delicious. Service was also good. We finished our dinner and asked server to get the container to take the rest back. He gave us a container and started taking our plates. Meanwhile he was telling us that one spoon is missing. It was actually on the table under one of our plate and was not even used for the dinner so we were not aware of that. He should check everything first rather than telling us that the spoon is missing from that table.
I don't think that we will visit the restaurant again.

Really enjoyed the all-you-can-eat Indian cuisine with a colleague. Would definitely recommend this for a tasty and inexpensive lunch downtown.

This was one of the best Indian Restaurants in Toronto I have ever visited during my business tour to Canada. Such amazing food I had outside of India, very nice flavors. Butter Chicken as excellent beyond my expectation. Clean and spacious dining area with captivating ambiance and light music. Service guys are pleasing, friendly and attentive. I found moderate and comfortable prices for quality of food and services provided. Indian wines served was surprise. Never knew that India produces such wonderful wines. I had to walk step up for washroom. I appreciate if its near sitting. I highly recommend for people who are looking to settle for the best only. Two thumbs up!

Thank you Team Dhaba.

This place is great! Clean and spacey dining area. The food tastes and smells amazing and the staff is friendly.
Prices are moderate and they give complimentary entrees and mango lassi.
Thanks Dhaba for an enjoyable experience!
17.12.2017 Calin
It want bad. Definitely worth almost 4 stars, the food is nicely spiced and flavourful, it could be warmer though. The hot plates they use are not the best.
25.08.2017 Kamal
Great choice of food with very amazing price,
I went in here with my cousin for lunch trying the buffet, we were warmly welcomed and seated by the Host of Dhaba. We started to have our lunch and found a large variation in salads. Along with it there were lots of food items we do not see easily around in Indian Restaurants. The servers were very responsive and quick to fulfil the customers' demands.
Overall it was one of the best you could expect from an Indian Restaurants.
