I was on a business trip and decided to do some sightseeing. I was really happy with the room. The location is absolutely perfect; right outside the door are popular tourist spots. The value for money is outstanding. I'll definitely stay at Super 8 Hotel (Nanluoguxianghouhaigulou) again next time I'm in Beijing.

The room was incredibly cramped, dirty, and a complete mess! This was by far the worst hotel/guesthouse experience I've ever had. When I arrived, I wanted to check out, but couldn't. I booked a room for 267 yuan, and they told me it was in the basement, windowless, and had no signal. They said I could pay an extra 50 yuan for an upstairs room with a window. After I paid, they told me it was on the 3rd floor! No elevator!! They expected me to carry my luggage up to the third floor! I almost fainted from anger! I told them I wanted to check out and wasn't staying! They said I couldn't, and then gave me a room on the first floor. I reluctantly accepted it. Once inside, my phone had no signal, the whole room smelled of mold, and there were uncleaned cigarette butts on the floor... I'm so done with this. I'm never booking a hotel on Ctrip again! And I'm not going for cheap deals anymore! I deserve this for being so foolish.

The environment is great, very close to Nanluoguxiang, so the location is excellent. The service is also good.

What a rip-off. It was advertised as a special offer for a king-size bed room, but when I checked in, they said it was in the basement, damp, and had poor internet signal. If you can't afford to offer a discount, why play word games? They forced me to pay an extra 100 RMB just to get a room upstairs. And the upstairs room wasn't much better – a noticeable strange odor, a large wad of toilet paper visible as soon as I entered the room, and a condom wrapper by the bed. It was worse than a guesthouse in terms of cleanliness. Plus, there were unidentified bugs flying around the room that I couldn't even swat. Paying 366 RMB for such a hotel, this last stop of my Beijing trip at Super 8 Hotel (Nanluoguxianghouhaigulou) was an absolutely terrible experience.
