However, the carpets were incredibly dirty. My child's rhinitis flared up the moment we arrived, and I suspect there's a significant amount of dust mites and mold. I strongly recommend the hotel takes this issue seriously.
Lastly, I advise extreme caution when using the laundry room. You can't avoid washing clothes in summer, but our clothes came out completely covered in lint and dust, making them impossible to wear.
Traveling as a family of three, we booked a suite for extra comfort, though it felt a little compact initially. We were later upgraded to a more premium suite, which offered significantly more space and comfort, including a large bathtub that our child absolutely loved for bath time. While the hotel itself is a bit older and some facilities show their age, it's clear they put a lot of care into maintenance, and the staff were exceptionally warm and friendly.
Breakfast was decent and satisfying. We also had dinner from their à la carte menu one evening; it was a bit pricey but the food was quite good. In the evenings, there were performances in the lobby. The self-service laundry room with washing and drying machines was a great convenience.
The location offers incredibly convenient transportation. A subway entrance and bus stop are right downstairs, with Xuanwumen Subway Station's Exit G less than 50 meters away, and a bus stop located within 100 meters of the hotel's entrance. It's just 5 subway stops from Beijing West Railway Station, 2 stops from Xidan, and 5 stops from both Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City.
