Empark Prime Hotel Wangfujing in Beijing

The room was spotless and incredibly spacious. The front desk staff were super friendly, and the room service was excellent – they even have a robot deliver takeout! Plus, the room had amazing views and natural light. This is my top choice when visiting Beijing; it's just a 15-minute walk to Tiananmen Square, the Forbidden City, and Wangfujing!

The room is clean and tidy, the environment is good, the location is great, and the service is excellent.

As one of Beijing's iconic landmarks from the 1950s, the Overseas Chinese Hotel underwent a major renovation in 2021. It's been on my must-visit list ever since, and I finally got the chance to stay recently. The check-in experience was absolutely fantastic! 👍

Really enjoyed my stay here. The location is a major plus, right by Wangfujing and within easy reach of key attractions, shopping, and public transport, which made getting around Beijing very convenient.

The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, especially appreciated after long days of walking. Everything felt well maintained, and housekeeping was consistent throughout the stay. The bed was comfortable and the room was quiet at night, which made resting easy.

Service was professional and efficient. Staff were polite, helpful, and handled check in and check out smoothly. Breakfast had a good spread and quality was solid.

Overall, a very reliable hotel with a great location, good comfort, and good value for money. Would happily stay here again on my next visit to Beijing.

The hotel was tidy clean and the rooms were spacious, elegant and clean. But the only issue was that at night there were bad smell almost like sewage smell at the front of the hotel and in the corridor between the rooms and inside the room. In the morning the smell fades away. We complained to the staff and they apologized saying there were some cleaning activities by the municipality that is causing this smell.

Booked another room for my sister and mum because of our great experience. The hotel is comfortable, clean, and well-maintained, with attentive staff and a convenient Wangfujing location. They felt safe and relaxed throughout the stay. A reliable choice for family trips and repeat visits.

Service: Absolutely amazing! The service was outstanding, making me feel very secure and comfortable. I really feel that the price is well worth it for such wonderful service. Both the front desk and the cleaning staff had excellent attitudes.

The staff were really nice; someone immediately helped me with my luggage as soon as I got out of the car. They charged a 1000 deposit upon check-in, which was fully refunded as I had no additional expenses during my stay. The location is superb! It's right across from the art museum, and the National Museum is within walking distance. I really enjoyed the familiar sights along the way. Very satisfied overall.

1: The hotel boasts a great location, surrounded by several unique parks in Beijing, making it incredibly convenient and quick to get anywhere. It's an excellent choice for out-of-town visitors, especially given its relatively good value for money.
2: Putting aside out-of-town tourists, as a local, I wouldn't choose to stay here again. First, there's hardly anything edible for breakfast. The bread is truly awful, and there aren't even any omelets. The restaurant staff offered zero service; when I asked for baby utensils, I was given a filthy set with a huge smudge, and I had to get my own coffee.
3: As someone with mild mysophobia, the general cleanliness of the room was acceptable, but the sliding bathroom door definitely hadn't been wiped down by the cleaning staff – the long-standing grime was evident. The side of the sink and the towel bar were also very dirty; I had to clean them myself with a cotton wipe and water.
4: The bathtub's placement was very awkward, making it difficult to lay out a disposable tub liner. The open-plan bathroom design meant a constant draft while bathing.
5: I woke up at 4 AM scratching uncontrollably. I don't know if it was the water or the sheets, but I was incredibly itchy. I'm not known for having sensitive skin, and in all the hotels I've stayed at, I've never experienced such intense itching. This is the first time in my life I've felt such an all-over prickling sensation. It's been 12 hours since I returned home, and I'm still incredibly itchy. I have no idea what at the hotel made my skin so sensitive.
To sum up, this hotel's overall standards are mediocre. I can accept the 80 RMB parking fee cap, but in other aspects, it certainly doesn't live up to a five-star standard.
