Hotel New Otani Chang Fu Gong in Beijing

This is a very business-oriented hotel, and getting in and out is quite complicated. It's not suitable for tourists. There's a shortcut to a restaurant through a side door, which is closer. The bakery is a bit pricey, and Yingfulou restaurant isn't good. There aren't many restaurants within walking distance nearby, and traffic is often bad.

I'm a regular guest here, and the service is consistently excellent. Just a small suggestion: during my extended stay, the bath towels weren't folded neatly by housekeeping. Even though we didn't use them, it gave me the impression they hadn't been replaced, but rather just carelessly placed back. I believe a five-star hotel should pay attention to these small details, so I wanted to bring it to your attention.

From the outside maybe a bit brutalist architecture but inside is decorated very classy (just like me). Room 19th floor was clean and comfortable, the swimming pool and sauna also very clean. Friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast was for a king. Can recommend.

The Changfu Gong Hotel in Beijing has a great overall ambiance and a very convenient location, just a short walk from the subway station. The front desk staff are friendly and provide excellent service. The Japanese restaurant's buffet and set meals are absolutely delicious, and the bar has a pleasant atmosphere. The rooms are clean. I would definitely recommend it to my friends.

Whenever I visit Beijing, I almost always stay at this hotel. While the hotel shows its age a bit and has a fairly standard layout, the service is consistently attentive and excellent. Its location is fantastic, very close to Tiananmen Square. There's a popular and great-value roast duck restaurant right next door. The breakfast offers a wide variety, including Chinese, Japanese, and Western dishes – I even had natto, miso soup, and curry rice! The geese in the central garden are still as relaxed as ever. The garden is filled with fruit trees, and even in winter, you can feel their robust energy. As always, the lobby is well-stocked with masks and hand sanitizer, which is a thoughtful touch. The only downside is that the swimming pool is closed for the winter.

Back in Beijing this year, as usual, I chose the New Otani Chang Fu Gong. I'm getting less inclined to fuss about things, so I booked a higher floor directly, and the room was indeed better than last year, plus the floor was very quiet. The room's cleanliness put me at ease, and the toiletries were quite premium. Thanks to the front desk young man for giving us rooms close to each other, which made coming and going and greeting each other very convenient. Thank you! This time, due to a tight schedule, I had breakfast directly at the hotel. The quality was still excellent and didn't disappoint me. The Japanese breakfast tasted spot-on, though the miso soup on the second day wasn't as hot as the first – I hope it can be hotter. The Western salad bar had over a dozen kinds of mixed oils and salad dressings, which was very authentic. Our Beijing zhajiangmian (fried sauce noodles) and dalumian (gravy noodles) were also delicious, giving a feeling of home ❤️. The white pomelo in the fruit section was very sweet and juicy; I ate a lot 😅. In the hot food section, I felt the pan-fried tomatoes were a bit undercooked; they could use a little more heat. All in all, I was very satisfied with this stay. Looking forward to staying again next year.

Located in the heart of Beijing's Second Ring Road, the hotel offers excellent transport links, being close to Subway Lines 1 and 2. It's incredibly convenient to get to Beijing Capital Airport by taking Line 2 to Dongzhimen Station and then transferring to the Airport Express, which is fast and avoids traffic jams. The breakfast is good, and the swimming pool is a nice bonus!

I always stay at this hotel, and I absolutely love its environment. The service is excellent, and the breakfast spread is fantastic. The location is incredibly convenient for transport, and there are plenty of restaurants nearby.

The hotel is located in the heart of Beijing, near the embassy district, making it convenient for getting around yet surprisingly quiet. Compared to other five-star hotels, Chang Fu Gong offers exceptional value for money. When I booked, I just thought the price was very reasonable for a holiday period, and I was a bit hesitant about the facilities and service. However, my experience after checking in was absolutely amazing.

From the doorman to the front desk staff and the lobby manager, every employee consistently maintained a natural and polite smile. It felt genuine and very comfortable. They even offered complimentary snacks during my stay.

Despite being in the city center, the hotel has a spacious parking lot, which is very convenient for those driving. The hotel lobby isn't opulent, but it feels incredibly welcoming, perfect for small families. The four elevators operate very efficiently. From the elevators to the guest rooms, the hallway carpets were spotless, which deserves special praise 👍 – it's rare to see an older hotel maintain such cleanliness. Our room wasn't huge, but beyond the standard amenities, several key aspects stood out: the bathroom was very spacious with a comfortable shower, and the toilet was electronically controlled, which is lovely in winter. The room's cabinets had many compartments, perfect for families like ours with lots of small items to organize. In short, the hotel pays great attention to detail.

Unfortunately, due to limited time, we couldn't stay longer to experience other hotel services and facilities, including dining. We will definitely choose Chang Fu Gong again when we visit Beijing.

The location is incredibly convenient. Triple rooms are already hard to find, and decent ones are even rarer. This place truly embodies Japanese aesthetics.

The breakfast offers both Japanese and Western options, with a wide variety that changes daily, so you'll never get bored. They pay attention to the smallest details, like putting a cute cat-shaped anti-scald handle on the hot milk carafe.

The comb is dual-purpose, with fine and wide teeth, and it's excellent quality. I now carry it in my bag everywhere.

I was so sad to leave. My elders are already saying, 'We must come again!' (Waving) (Seriously)
