Exceptional birthday stay with just one minor suggestion!

The Westin is truly the best hotel we’ve stayed at. The room was incredibly spacious, clean, and featured the most comfortable bed we’ve ever slept in. The location is unbeatable, and the view from our room was simply spectacular.

What made our stay truly memorable was how accommodating the staff were for my birthday. They went above and beyond by providing complimentary decorations and a delicious halal cake, which we appreciated so much.

The only downside was that the room felt a bit too warm. Even though it was winter, I believe the hotel should still offer the option of air conditioning for guests who prefer a cooler environment.

Aside from that, we were very satisfied with the excellent service and top-notch facilities. We will definitely be staying here again!

A standard Westin experience, everything was pretty good. The location is excellent, making it super convenient for getting around; it's right by the subway exit. There are also lots of great food options nearby, and a stroll along the Liangma River is very pleasant.

I was planning a Christmas holiday getaway, but to my surprise, the hotel was undergoing renovations. There was no prior notice when I booked, and I couldn't cancel. The hotel service was quite good though; they upgraded me to a room with a view, where I could see half of the city center. The location is also pretty good, with lots of fun things to do nearby. I had a great time on Christmas Eve. But sure enough, the next morning, the sound of drilling started right on time. You can imagine how that felt. What's even more frustrating is that the guests next door were talking loudly on the phone with their door open and smoking early in the morning. You can picture my holiday mood now. I heard the hotel is changing ownership, so there wasn't much of an atmosphere. What's annoying is that the price was still so high. I definitely won't be coming back. Of course, it might not even be a Westin anymore in the future.

This Christmas, I took my kids to Beijing and specifically booked a hotel near my husband's old company. Instead of their corporate-contracted hotel, I chose a Westin under Marriott, and this time, the experience was really disappointing! The room facilities were outdated. I booked a triple room, but it was just two double beds with a small cot crammed between the desk and the dryer! Basically, we slept next to electronic devices for two nights! The service was nonexistent, and the front desk staff had a terrible attitude. They didn't tell us about any hotel features or breakfast times. The next morning, I asked a plump young man in the lobby on the first floor where breakfast was, and he gave me the wrong information. I walked around in circles, and by the time I found it, breakfast was almost over. Of course, I didn't know the hotel breakfast ended so early. The only commendable service was from the concierge staff – they were incredibly enthusiastic about helping the kids with their luggage both when we checked in and checked out! My stay at the Westin this time was a really bad experience! And booking through Ctrip means I can't even earn Marriott points! I don't even want to bother arguing with Marriott anymore!

The family room we booked offered a panoramic view of the East Third Ring Road, making it feel bright and spacious. The breakfast selection was extensive. Its location right next to the East Third Ring Road means excellent transport links, and I even saw a subway exit right in front of the lobby.

Overall, I'm quite satisfied. Although there was a notice in the room about hotel maintenance, it didn't actually cause any inconvenience.

There were two things I wasn't too happy about. First, the soundproofing in the room wasn't great. Either that, or the kid next door was just incredibly loud. They were shouting in the afternoon, still shouting when I got back to the hotel after 11 PM, and then started again around 8 AM on Sunday – better than an alarm clock!

The other thing was that after finishing my meal in the room in the afternoon, I wanted to call for someone to pick up the trays. The call went to an automated customer service. I explained my request, and the AI said it understood. However, no one came to collect them until I was about to leave around 6 PM. Luckily, a staff member came to do the turndown service and took them away for me.

The hotel's location is excellent, right outside the subway station. We arrived early, and since a room was available, the front desk arranged for an early check-in. The room had a great view. It's also a short walk to Liangma River. The lobby has a very nice ambiance, and the coffee shop seemed popular. All the staff were very polite.

The hotel is conveniently located right by Liangmahe Subway Station, just over 2 km from Sanlitun. The facilities are comprehensive, and the environment is clean and tidy. The service is warm and attentive. The only downside is that the decor is a bit dated.
