The hotel's location is excellent, right next to Wangfujing Pedestrian Street, surrounded by luxury shops, making it very convenient to get around.
The Mandarin Oriental's attention to detail is superb. The understated luxury and 'old money' vibe are precisely my style. The vanity room is spacious, and they prepared welcome fruits and snacks, a bottle of red wine, and even pear soup, along with a beautifully written welcome letter. It truly made me feel right at home.
Breakfast is a mix of buffet and à la carte, with fresh, organic ingredients and amazing flavors. I even had breakfast alongside the Russian ambassador at the next table! Sipping a coffee with a Forbidden City latte art design on the large terrace overlooking the Forbidden City, I truly experienced a taste of royal life. So happy! 😃

The hotel's location is absolutely fantastic, no doubt about it. I was so happy to receive a handwritten card; the staff member who drew the adorable 'bubu' character really put a lot of thought into it. It was so cute! When we asked for another one, they happily drew it again. The hotel staff's attitude was excellent. They noticed we were fans of Mayday and provided a wonderful emotional experience. The front desk staff quickly resolved any issues we had and immediately helped with our luggage when they saw us carrying it. We truly felt at home! Extremely satisfied.

My overall experience at Mandarin Oriental Wangfujing, Beijing was extremely satisfying. The hotel environment is exquisite and tranquil, and the room was comfortable and tasteful. Both the facilities and the small details were maintained at a very high standard.
Special thanks to Alex, Mavis, and Avery. Their service was incredibly thoughtful, and their communication was patient and efficient, making the entire check-in process smooth and effortless. I could really feel that the team values guests' needs, and it made for a very pleasant stay.

Traveling to Beijing with my kids for a concert, after much deliberation, I still chose the Mandarin Oriental, a hotel I've always loved! Their consistently thoughtful service and excellent food proved my decision was spot on, haha~
The location of Mandarin Oriental Wangfujing is unbeatable; it's very close to Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City, with plenty of shopping malls and great dining options nearby. The large terrace on the 5th floor offers stunning views, and this time I even managed to capture the Forbidden City at sunset~
The semi-buffet breakfast with a la carte options is very convenient, and all the pastries are handmade daily, which my kids thoroughly enjoyed~

The best property I have stayed in and my new favorite Mandarin Oriental globally.
Highlights:
The View: An uninterrupted, breathtaking view of the Forbidden City from the terrace and our bedroom.
The Bar: Bar Manager Quantin has created an atmospheric, quirky space. The Mongolian yurts on the terrace for shisha (Black Russian tobacco) and cigars are a stroke of genius.
The Service: Marvin and Peter Yu at the Front Desk were professional, precise, and incredibly welcoming. The entire FO team is top-tier.
The Management: GM Richard has created a masterpiece here. His personal touch—especially his beautiful calligraphy in the welcome notes—sets the tone for the stay.
Dining: Café Zi offers perfection on a plate, from breakfast to Cantonese dinners.
The Room: Impeccably clean (compliments to housekeeping) and beautifully decorated with tasteful local silks.
It has the intimate, cozy vibe of the MO Mayfair but with a character all its own. An absolute must-stay when in Beijing.

fantastic experience overall! breakfast selection is not huge, but enough for a few days. juices, coffee and fruits were highlights for us. all the staff is amazing. hidden door for laundry is killer feature. overview and proximity to forbidden city is great also, although you are paying with traffic when taking taxi. Hutong tour is great, can recommend to anyone.
