The front desk staff were very welcoming and upgraded our room. The facilities were complete, and our stay was comfortable. We also received a discount on the dinner buffet. Sheraton is a trustworthy brand and I highly recommend it.

The hotel is right by the sea, which was super convenient for the kids. They even upgraded us to a sea-view room, and the view was absolutely fantastic. The room itself was very clean with no strange odors, making for a really comfortable stay. The staff were all incredibly friendly and proactive with their service. Overall, it was a wonderful experience.

Although the facilities are a bit old (the TV didn't have much to watch, and I had to buy a day's entertainment for the kids), there were no strange odors. Despite being in a bustling area, the soundproofing was excellent, so it wasn't noisy at all. The breakfast was quite substantial, and they even provided complimentary breakfast for three, which was a nice touch! I added the front desk staff member, Liu Junjie, on WeChat; he was very enthusiastic (in fact, all the staff here would proactively greet you, which was lovely). Any questions I had were answered very quickly. On one of the days, a customer in the restaurant accidentally spilled some food and was about to pick it up, but almost simultaneously, two staff members came over to handle it, very promptly! The only minor issue was that the bacon that day was a bit too crispy. I would definitely choose to stay here again next time I come to Sanya for the beach. The ocean is just across the street, and this place is perfect for a relaxed, unhurried seaside vacation.

I have to recommend this hotel, the only Marriott brand in Sanya Bay. Considering the price, it offers good value for money, and the ocean view is beautiful. Last time I stayed, I had to go down to pick up my takeout myself. This time, thankfully, they have robots that deliver directly to the door, so I no longer have to awkwardly go to the main entrance in my pajamas to get my food. The concierge at the door this time was very proactive, and the front desk arranged for an efficient room upgrade, which was great. The only downside is that the lobby is still hot, but they've already started renovations, so hopefully that issue will be resolved. This stay, we had a butler. Dora, Kevin, and Zara were all excellent and provided very prompt service. I hope to come back again this summer!

The hotel was clean, spacious, and bright. Dora provided excellent and efficient service. Free parking was a big plus. Overall, I had a very satisfying stay. The hotel's central location made it convenient for getting around. Plus, there's a Sky Bar on the 29th floor, perfect for enjoying the sunset in the afternoon.

Overall, not recommended!

Firstly, the room was damp! Don't tell me Sanya is generally humid; that's no excuse for poor service. There was a strong smell of damp wood. Only after I complained did they bring a dehumidifier and spray some air freshener, which lasted less than two minutes. Why wasn't this taken care of before check-in?

Secondly, the cleaning was subpar! There was a dried-up popsicle stick on the balcony.

Thirdly, the equipment in the room was old and worn out.

Fourthly, the 'sea view experience' was just a high-rise version of Coconut Dream Corridor. To truly enjoy a sunset, it's much better to go down to the beach.

If you've previously stayed at hotels in Haitang Bay, Yalong Bay, or Banshan Peninsula, you'll be very disappointed with this place in comparison.

If it's your first time in Sanya, find a newly opened hotel near the beach or one further away that you can taxi to. Absolutely do not choose this hotel.

In summary, it lacks service, ambience, and public areas. All it has going for it is a high-rise sea view and the gimmick of being in a prime location in Sanya Bay. You'd be better off staying at a chain hotel.

I had a very pleasant stay at the hotel. Its location is convenient with excellent amenities nearby. The room was cozy and comfortable, and all the staff were incredibly warm and friendly with great service attitudes. This is a trustworthy and high-quality hotel. Special thanks to ZARA, one of the hotel staff, for her high service awareness and for being able to resolve many issues.

I'm truly disappointed with this long-established five-star hotel. I've been to Sanya many times and I know check-in times can be late. We arrived at the hotel around 4 PM after visiting the duty-free shop. The front desk told me our room wasn't ready and we'd have to wait another half an hour, suggesting we could go to the lobby bar for afternoon tea in the meantime (they mentioned there was a voucher, but said we didn't need to pick it up, they'd inform the lobby bar directly). However, when we got to the lobby bar, the staff there had no idea about this and had to call the front desk to sort it out, which took a long time before we finally got our afternoon tea.

After waiting for over half an hour, I inquired again at the front desk, only to be told the room still wasn't ready and we'd have to wait another half an hour. By this point, it was almost 5 PM. After we expressed our dissatisfaction, the front desk claimed it was because we had requested a high floor, away from the elevators, in our booking, which made it difficult to prepare the room! I almost laughed out loud. My request is no excuse for your inability to prepare the room. After we insisted, they finally agreed to show us another room that was already cleaned. Once upstairs, we asked the housekeeping staff, and it turned out they had just started cleaning our original room. This means no one was cleaning it during the first half-hour we waited! I can understand slow cleaning, but I absolutely cannot accept being lied to!

Once we finally checked in, apart from the nice sea view, the infrastructure in the room was truly poor and outdated. The curtains were manual, the bedside lamp had to be twisted on manually, and the bedding felt damp. The most ridiculous thing was the complimentary afternoon tea – for two people, we only got one pineapple bun and one drink. Who was supposed to eat it, and who wasn't? Also, it was incredibly noisy downstairs, not just at night but during the day too, so we couldn't even open the window for ventilation. And I'm not sure where, but there was construction going on, which made trying to rest in the room during the day a real struggle. Perhaps the hotel's biggest advantage is its proximity to Coconut Dream Corridor and the sea view. For a hotel priced at nearly 800 yuan a night, I am truly disappointed.

The hygiene was terrible, basic cleanliness standards weren't met. The toilet was unacceptably dirty (see pictures). I called the duty lobby manager, who gave a perfunctory apology. Then I contacted Trip.com customer service, who handled it proactively. My request was simple: no compensation, just for senior hotel management to come and acknowledge the severity of the issue. The next day, the hotel manager came, recognized the seriousness of the problem, and promised to address it to prevent recurrence (I didn't ask for or accept any compensation, I only agreed to a complimentary fruit platter). I tolerated the other hygiene issues, and the service staff's attitude was quite indifferent (though the cleaning lady and the pool attendant were the most amiable). The butler rarely replied to messages. I chose to stay here because I trust the Marriott brand, but this was the worst Marriott experience I've ever had. Of course, this doesn't mean all Marriott properties are bad; I still have faith in Marriott. The former Westin at this location was quite good.

the location is very close to the beach, like less than 5 min walk away. also the road behind the hotel have a simple supermarket and a whole stretch of road with restaurants.

room is big and spacious, very good view of the sanya bay. room has good sound proofing. the only minor down side is that the facilities are abit older, and when you initially come into the room there is this old smell to it.

breakfast have a lot of variety, if you are lazy to eat outside of the hotel (there is just so much food options at the nearby street)
