I arrived at 9 PM and stayed at a nearby hotel for my transfer the next morning.
Location
The hotel was close enough to see from the airport, and while there seemed to be a shuttle bus, I couldn't speak any English, so I gave up and walked there instead.
It was about a 10-minute walk.
The next morning, I took the shuttle bus to the airport.
I was dropped off in front of Gate 2.
According to the hotel, it runs every 20 minutes from 5 AM to 10 AM. After 11 AM, it runs every hour.

The room was clean, and the shower had good water pressure and hot water.
However, I wondered if the light on/off switch was broken? The on/off location was different from the one written on the front door, which was a bit inconvenient.
Price
There was a plan with breakfast included, but since there are plenty of food courts at Kunming Changshui Airport, I was able to stay without it for under 5,000 yen.
Thoughts
The airport offers more advanced services than Japan, such as nap spaces, but for those who want a comfortable, restful sleep and shower, this hotel is not too expensive, so I recommend it.
Bonus
Because it's close to the airport, there is loud airplane noise.
I guess this is unavoidable.
Disposable earplugs are available in the rooms, so please use them if you're concerned.

Very close to the airport with shuttle service. Easy to order takeout late at night. Plenty of hot water and AC/heating works great!!!!

This is a fantastically located airport hotel, only a stones throw away from the airport. They offer a convenient airport shuttle serviceas well would definitely stay again.

They offer a shuttle service to and from the airport every half hour. You can also walk from the airport or the subway station in front of the airport in about fifteen minutes. The room was spacious and well-lit. It's an excellent choice for early morning or late-night flights.

The hotel is incredibly close to the airport, which makes getting around super convenient. The airport shuttle is also very handy. Because of its proximity to the airport, you can hear planes taking off and landing in the first half of the night, but the hotel does provide earplugs.
