I stayed at the hotel 10 years ago. I loved everything! Huge room with a piste, meticulous cleaning every day, polite staff, delicious food, meat, fish, and seafood, and entertainment. It's still as interesting as it is now.

Its a good 4 star hotel with nice location. within 2-3 kms distance from all the important historical landmark which is Sphinx. Seeing the low rating, I expected the place to be quite run-down, but it was actually very good. The room wasn't new but it was clean, tidy, and comfortable, with a nice view. The restaurant, in particular, was excellent value for money; definitely order à la carte instead of the buffet.

Our room was on the first floor and had some mosquitoes, but the surroundings were beautiful, located on a hillside overlooking the Nile. The facilities were comprehensive, and the front desk service was very warm and welcoming. Watching the sunset here was particularly stunning.

The room facilities are very old, and some are broken. When I reported issues to maintenance, their service was pretty hit-or-miss. They didn't seem to pay much attention to some safety-related problems either. They were quick to respond when I asked for repairs, but either didn't fix them properly or didn't consider them actual problems.

6th of October City is about a half-hour drive west of Cairo. The hotel has strict security, including checking the driver's ID at the main gate and checking luggage in the lobby. There's an outdoor pool and date palm trees in the courtyard.
