Amarante Pyramids Hotel in Cairo

Hi,

First and foremost location is great if you would like to visit the pyramids? Staff and the service that they provided was excellent!
The food was also great 😌 being a typical Brit I tired there fish and chips! And again the fish with its crisp batter was great.
The swimming pool area was superb 👌🏽
Another great thing was I got chatting to the Guest Manager lovely person and she mentioned this hotel has been over a century ago and then some, the original owner was an actor again from a couple of generations back.
If you want great service from good people and kindness shown towards you? Book it but again if I might add, the bedroom decor may not be for everyone, but the staff overpowered this

This hotel was great, there was a slight language barrier from the kitchen staff for my allergy however it was dealt in the end. It was a good price for our experience with a good location and big pool, however the pool was VERY COLD. We had gone on a tour through the pyramids, Memphis and Sakhara with Essam the tour manager and Mohamed the tour guide, they were both absolutely amazing with great hospitality and well informed 100% recommend when visiting to do the tour, one of the best days we have had. We ended up spending 3/4 nights with Essam at a coffee shop enjoying sheishas and drinks meeting his family and friends and learning a lot about local traditions and the religion.

I had an amazing experience during my stay, and much of that was thanks to Isam, who truly went above and beyond to ensure my visit was perfect. From the moment I arrived, Isam greeted me with a warm smile and made check-in a breeze. Throughout my stay, he was incredibly attentive, always offering helpful advice about local attractions and ensuring I had everything I needed. His professionalism and genuine kindness really stood out, making me feel welcome and valued as a guest. I would highly recommend this hotel, and especially Isam, for an exceptional experience. Thank you for making my stay so memorable!

The hotel is in the best possible location, making it super easy to get to any ancient sites and back to the airport. The rooms have an old-school vibe, but it’s a five-star kind of old-school. The restaurant service is great, like the staff were trained back when the hotel was still five-star. Personally, I was happy; for a four-star price, I got almost a five-star experience. The hotel might look a bit dusty from the outside, but it's really quiet, which is a big deal in Cairo. I didn't see the point of paying for a Hilton that's in a much worse location compared to this one. Plus, the rooms and service here are just as clean.

The Wi-Fi isn't fast, but it is available. The manager at the front desk will inform you of this upon check-in.

They have their own taxi service. You can book and pay for a trip beforehand at the reception, and have the driver wait for you while you're out exploring. Just coordinate with the manager beforehand about how long you'd like the driver to wait for you at the location. There are no restrictions, but you need to specify the waiting time before payment. They even took us all the way to Dahshur. The price is fixed, and you pay at the reception. The driver is just a driver and won't ask you for extra money, but we tipped him. I think they offer some tours, but we were more interested in having a driver and car for the whole day.

I'm saving this review so I know where to stay next time I'm in Cairo. Out of the four hotels I've tried there, this one's by far the best for location and service.
