Cons:
• Unreasonable Fee Request: We initially did an early check-in in a lower-category room because our reserved room was full. When we asked to move to our original room at 1 PM, the front desk suddenly demanded $50
• Poor Maintenance: The window wouldn't lock, so I had to fix it myself to ensure our safety (fearing they would ask for more money if I called maintenance). • Bathroom Issues: Very low water pressure
Title: Great Pyramid view, but be aware of hidden charges and pushy tips. Pros:
• Friendly Staff: A senior security guard was very helpful and assisted us with an early check-in at 8 AM
Also, the two male staff members working on the rooftop were the kindest people in the hotel. • Hot Water: It takes a while to heat up, but once it starts, it works well
After a 10-minute argument, we didn't pay, but it was very unpleasant
There is no handheld showerhead, only a rain shower from the ceiling

Really close to the pyramids this is the best hotel ever, amazing and friendly staff, l advice everyone to stay there.
I would like to sincerely thank you for your amazing hospitality. From the moment I arrived, the staff were warm, kind, and always ready to help. The food was absolutely delicious, and the atmosphere made me feel at home
Amazing hotel
The room is very clean
Helpful owner 😃 and very welcoming
I'm filling homily
View from terrace was amazing
Breakfast is fantastic
Staff service amazing
Really one of best place ever
Room rate also is very nice 👍
I came to Egypt with my 64 year old mother and 6 year old daughter. The staff was extremely helpfu throughout. Even though the lift has not been installed yet, our luggage was carried up
We were given an option to choose a room between the third and fourth floors. The room was very spacious, and the sheets were spotless
there was a one cockroach in the room. The inside of the kettle is very dirty. You can stay for one - two day, but not longer. The air conditioner was broken, but it was fixed
Cairo, 10 Al Haram Street, Giza, Egypt, Al Haram, 12512 Giza, El-Giza, Egipet (14 km from centre) 🧭 Map
The staff are good, but the hotel has soundproofing issues. The windows are flimsy, so there's constant road noise, plus construction work goes on late into the night nearby
On top of that, there was renovation work happening in the next room for several nights in a row, making it almost impossible to get a good night's sleep
Breakfast has only a few options, so don't expect much. The breakfast terrace has a nice view, just like in the photos, you can see the pyramids. Overall, it's okay for a one-night stay
The breakfast is relatively simple with few choices, which is of course proportional to the rent. If you are a backpacker, it is highly recommended for you. If you have a request, it is not suitable
How would I rate this hotel? Like any other chain hotel, the service is decent. They offer free luggage storage, and the hotel gives you two bottles of water and a pack of cookies
The hotel is newly opened, so it's still quite clean. In this area, besides Mena House, it probably has the best environment. It's very close to the pyramids, but the downside is that it's a bit far from the airport
Cairo, 5 Hadayek El Ahram Haram, Al Remaya Sq, Al Haram, 12511 Giza, El-Giza, Egipet (13 km from centre) 🧭 Map
The hotel seems to be good, the staff is excellent. But the lack of a normal window in the room was very disappointing.
Very nice hotel! The environment is very good, the room is clean, the service is very warm, the breakfast is also very good, it is very close to the pyramids, you can have breakfast in the morning and then go to the pyramids, and you can take a shower and check out when you come back
Complimentary breakfast was satisfying (considering Ramadan) everything was fresh and good
Don't expect too much for this price. It's good value for money for a one-night stay. The room has a small kitchen which is good. The front desk lady is pretty and enthusiastic
The need to ;
Excellent internet
Nice breakfast
The management organized daily Tours for me with some very professional people and in a very ethical arrangement, (which surprised me because I was concerned about negative tourists reviews of Egypt & it was Ramadan so I expected shorter tours & bad service, but Did_Not experience it) the tours were {pricey} however worth the hassle free nature of seeing this bustling metropolis and all its ancient...

Very clean.
Good staff
It's near to future University
The room we booked was exactly as it’s described online, the stuff are very nice and respectful and they go above and beyond to help their gusts with everything they need
And specially MOHEMADE RIFAD who work at the front desk is a supper genuine, very special nice man! The first night we checked in at their hotel, we did not have any Egyptian currency yet to purchase anything, and thus, he went...
I am not fluent in Arabic so every time I needed a taxi Mr. Ahmed, the owner and his staff were very eager to help me. Ahmed also drove me to the grocery store in his personal car shortly after my arrival
This is my second time in Cairo and also my second time in this hotel. The attitude of this hotel is excellent, definitely one of the best. The breakfast is also very rich, the room is large and the hygiene is also good.
Unbeatable location! It's only a 5-minute walk to the Egyptian Museum. The room is spacious and clean. The receptionists and staff are polite and friendly. The breakfast is also good. Thanks!
Service was good… location was good….
The room was clean, cozy, and well-equipped with everything I needed for a comfortable trip. The location is also a big plus—it’s within walking distance of major attractions and public transport links
The breakfast spread was delicious and varied, with plenty of options to suit different tastes. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area and will be back on my next trip!
Check-in and check-out were both quick. The shower was the most comfortable I've had so far, though there were still no slippers or hairdryer

I stayed at this hotel in Giza a few days ago while celebrating my birthday, and the experience was absolutely wonderful
We arranged a small birthday celebration on the rooftop at night, and the staff were incredibly friendly and supportive throughout. Their hospitality truly made the evening special
The rooftop offers a beautiful view of the Pyramids, which added a magical touch to the stay
We were told to "you need to be happy" and "you need to smile" while booking this place only for that room otherwise we could have booked something else. We slept in some lower floor old room, not matching any photos
We paid for it and never got it even while politely asking for it once it was free
It was quite varied, with both western and local dishes to choose from, which was perfect given that we prefer trying out the local cuisine, but we also have an 11 year old who would sometimes like to have pizza or pasta
Everything was excellent – from the service, food and drinks, to the excursions and the connection with the pyramids and the sphinx that are opposite the hotel
It was a unique vacation, which I will never forget. I would like to conclude by sincerely thanking all the staff working at the hotel! Even though I arrived in the middle of the night, they accommodated me right away
Everyone working there was so nice and helpful, whether they were at the reception, breakfast buffet or the restaurant. The food was delicious, both the breakfast and what we had at he restaurant on the rooftop
The staff were extremely friendly and made me feel very welcome, even arranging transport and excursions at fair prices. The room was clean, comfortable and had everything I needed for a comfortable stay
Choosing Egypt tours with Abbderaman Nasr, from the hotel, was wonderful, he negotiated for me when I was shopping, made me feel safe in Egypt, calling on him for anything I needed
The place has a facilty of AC but the AC water like is collected in bottles within the room. Its on the fifth floor with no elevator. The management is cooperative. But its better than alot of hotels in downtown
Very cheap having all facilities but having no elevator is the worst part and also the reason to its cheapness, lady on the reception is very kind and honest. Greets everyone from which country you belong.
Cairo, 7 Abou Al Hool Al Seiahi, Al Haram (14 km from centre) 🧭 Map
The views from the room and roof terrace were incredible, a good view of pyramids. The people at the hotel were very helpful and welcoming, even arranging our tour of Giza with less than 12 hours notice from arrival
Then at the hotel we met Mohamed Farouk who was very kind and helped us book a fantastic Giza/Cairo tour for the next day, with Moustafa driving us again and with a very good price! Our tour guide Moses was INCREDIBLE, and he was so much better than the guides we used when we went to Luxor and Abydos
Picked us up from airport complimentary of the hotel. And the view, as I said , the best in Giza City of what you came for. One minute walk around the corner to the entrance to the wonders of the ancient world
The hosts are the super host. We 20 people stayed there only for their excellent service. The hotel quality is not very our standard, but Farouq and his team took good care of us.
Stayed at the hotel in Giza city in early November 2025. For three nights opposite the Giza Plateau. Beyond incredible views of the pyramids and the Sphinx. Food was good too, no bad belly problems here
We enjoyed 4 nights in this hotel. Mr Farag was an excellent host and recommended us our guide Karam in Luxor who was very helpful and kind. Would recommend to everybody!! Had a great time.

This was my second time staying at this hotel, and I love everything about it: the staff, the rooms, and the breakfast. Everything is clean, and the bathroom is in good condition. The location is excellent.
excellent hotel during my stay in Egypt and Cairo city, and so on
Great location, excellent value for money.
Great location, very convenient for getting around and easy to find taxis. There's also a tasty local restaurant next to KFC nearby – definitely worth trying if you're in the area!
The room was clean and tidy, and the breakfast was plentiful, with individual portions that were more than enough. The room had amenities like a hairdryer and a fridge
The hotel has a great location, with a Majia noodle restaurant nearby, which is a lifesaver for Chinese travelers craving a taste of home

Breakfast on the rooftop was also excellent — fresh, delicious, and served with genuine hospitality. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and air-conditioned, with everything you’d expect for a relaxing stay
The staff were extremely friendly and made me feel very welcome, even arranging transport and excursions at fair prices. The room was clean, comfortable and had everything I needed for a comfortable stay
Everything was excellent – from the service, food and drinks, to the excursions and the connection with the pyramids and the sphinx that are opposite the hotel

I would like to end the review by sincerely thanking all the staff working at the hotel, but in. The first night I received the most beautiful room in the hotel for free because I chose to stay there
They offered great local tips, helped organize my tours, and even arranged an airport pickup that made my arrival stress-free. The absolute highlight of the stay was the rooftop terrace

It is affordable and really, really good!! The owner and his brother go above and beyond to make sure you have everything you need and know the best ways to get around Cairo
Very friendly, family-run staff. Valuable tips on what to look out for. Clean rooms, with air conditioning set to 24°C, which is perfect. Unlimited water. Beautiful view, breakfast on the terrace. I recommend it.
The room was clean, but there were small ants. Since it was Egypt, I won't be too critical, but if there weren't any ants, it would have been perfect. It was a wonderful room with a view of the pyramids
nice view & very kind people.
when i leaving , he was waiting for my taxi with me at 4:30AM and took care of my taxi by calling driver & checking it's fee too.
The pyramids were clearly visible from the rooftop. We were able to eat breakfast while looking at the pyramids, and the sunset was beautiful
There is no pressure at all, which we appreciated. The beds were very comfy and we slept extremely well
Cairo, 49 Nobar St, Down Town (2 km from centre) 🧭 Map
The free breakfast has a good variety and includes a coffee or tea. The location is very close to main attractions
The owner was extremely warm and welcoming — he even joined us for dinner one night, which made the experience feel very personal and homey. Overall, it’s a great place to meet people and enjoy the city!
But from my very first interaction with the hotel staff, everything changed!
They made me feel like part of a family, not just a guest — and that’s what made me fall in love with this place from day one
A friend of mine recommended it, and honestly, I was a bit anxious about the experience — I’ve always been a little hesitant about staying in Cairo
The atmosphere is relaxed and social, especially on the rooftop balcony where guests often hang out and chat in the evenings
With full confidence, I highly recommend Cecilia Hotel to anyone looking for comfort, kindness, and great hospitality. ✨ Special thanks to the entire team for their kindness and professionalism ❤️

My trip was from Germany 🇩🇪 to Cairo and I was very happy with this hotel.
The best hotel in the city center.
The customer service was excellent.
I thank all the staff.
A very respectful man (receptionist Ahmed)
I thought it was a good hotel for the price. The shower rooms and toilets are shared, so I thought women might be a little hesitant to use them
The elevator had a Tower of Terror-like atmosphere, so it was a valuable experience in a good way
The environment is not really quiet, and the surrounding residents are very noisy at night. The facilities in the room are simple, there is no place to hang clothes, and the air conditioner is leaking
The hotel is located in the city center, but it is on the 5th floor, so it was difficult to find if you were to take a taxi and get directions from a local
The shower temperature was difficult to adjust, so I had to use either thick or lukewarm water
Cairo, 1 Abou Al Hool Al Seiahi (14 km from centre) 🧭 Map
The hotel has nice clean rooms and is very close to the entrance of the pyramids. The rooms are clean and spacious. Would recommend, the reception are very helpful.
Although the place is a little bit hard to find, all staffs are really friendly and help us
(Thanks again for all of them)
Extremely good view at the roof! And good location since the ground floor is just side of ticket office you can directly wake up and go to pyramid (be the first batch of visitors)
You can choose this place if you want to have a good view during relax
Breakfast on the rooftop was also excellent — fresh, delicious, and served with genuine hospitality. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and air-conditioned, with everything you’d expect for a relaxing stay
Everything was excellent – from the service, food and drinks, to the excursions and the connection with the pyramids and the sphinx that are opposite the hotel

The hotel location is excellent. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was good, clean, and had a nice street view
V.good place to stay, clean & safe and good people
The hotel location is very good and convenient.
The room was clean and comfortable.
The only downside was that visitors are not allowed inside the rooms.
Thanks to Ebtisam at the reception for their professionalism.
Great hotel with an excellent location. The reception staff were very friendly, especially Ebtisam, Mohamed, and Mr. Breakfast options were a bit limited, but when I asked for more, they were happy to help
Nice hotel with a great location.
The staff were welcoming and helpful, especially Ebtisam, Ahmed.
Sometimes the elevator took a bit long to arrive, but it wasn’t a big issue.
Good experience overall.
Good one if you compare it with others hostel at the same place .
The Stuff are good and helpful, acceptable with this price

Location is excellent, the restaurant is so good but the rooms are not comfortable enough. The bathroom are so small and it doesn’t have door in the shower
I had a great experience.everything was excellent
If you're looking for a hotel just for an overnight stay, it's fine. However, the room's soundproofing is very poor. The breakfasts are good.
Excellent hotel, especially for families, as it is close to Jamiat El Dowal Street and Shehab
Many places of food and shopping centers were located around the hotel. Easy to catch taxi but do allow 1 hour and 30 minutes for airport in taxi as traffic is hilarious
The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. They assisted us with everything throughout our stay. The room's cleanliness and comfort were adequate
Cairo, Abou Al Hool Al Seiahi (14 km from centre) 🧭 Map
The room was clean and the bedding fresh. The best views from the restaurant are only from two tables, but the view from the others is also good. The rooftop restaurant is multi-level, and breakfast is served there
The breakfast is good; they gave me a lunchbox as I'd arranged beforehand, as I was checking out that night and couldn't come for a regular breakfast
This hotel is for very undemanding travelers. The room had no window, apart from a small vent near the ceiling. In the bathroom, the only toiletries were shampoo and shower gel
I then rang the front desk again and requested 2 bath towels and a carpet towel, and again, after about 10 minutes of waiting, I got 2 bath towels, but still no carpet towel. Probably this can be improved
For example, the first day when we check-in, there is no bottled water and no towel provided in the room, so I rang the front desk and requested 2 bottled water, 2 bath towels and a carpet towel
The plumbing is new, and the hot water is independent from the boiler. It's a bit dusty, but that's understandable, given the climate

One of the best places to stay in New Cairo (Fifth Settlement)!
The place is beautiful, spotless, and thoughtfully designed with great attention to detail — it truly feels like home
During my stay in Cairo, I found most places quite cold in winter, but this place had a heater, which was a relief. The room was spacious and clean, and the bed was reasonably comfortable, so I had a good stay overall
Reception was friendly and welcoming. Hospitality, assistance and service was exceptional. They really assisted as much as possible when asked. Housekeeping made sure my unit was always clean and in good nick
Thanks for everything, all was perfect. Especially to have on TV Online Netflix service in rooms, big plus. One of my favourite place which will come again sure...
The staff were very friendly and helpful. The new rooms were very clean and comfortable. Great location next to AUC. Alot of malls around for going out and food
My stay at New City was amazing. The staff was attentive and friendly and the location across from the American University of Cairo was ideal!
