The hotel restaurant has a great view, and the outdoor scenery is beautiful, overlooking a forest. The minibar is chargeable. The room has slippers and toothbrushes, but there are no USB ports; you'll need an adapter.

It's a beautiful hotel with a lovely restaurant upstairs; however, reservations are required for the upstairs dining area. The rooms are clean and hygienic, and the windows offer views of the snowscape. It's a bit far from the city center.

I'm Japanese. I've also stayed at the Lapland Hotel in central Helsinki, and it's truly amazing. I booked a room with a sauna, and it was amazing. The sauna was amazing, and the view from the window was so beautiful it's indescribable. All the meals were delicious, and the service from the staff was excellent. They are very experienced and truly capture the hearts of their guests. I highly recommend...

What used to be a family home for a well renowned global manufacturer of leather apparel, now transformed to a modest family run hotel sitting on the banks of the river. The staff very friendly, an ample breakfast spread. And a desired good night sleep after much driving. What it lacks in mod cons is more than made up with tradition and interest.

Best location in the city! Definitely worth while for a visit. Location is as central as you can get, all shops, restaurants and services nearby. Rooms are good, staff is excellent and breakfast was high quality. There were many people coming in the morning just to have breakfast with friends. Breakfast room was little and crowded, but good. I'm Japanese. I'll describe the hotel in Japanese. I can honestly say that it was a very high-quality, excellent hotel. All the food at the hotel restaurant was delicious, and all the staff at the activities were very friendly, giving me a sense of security. I've stayed in many hotels, but I highly recommend this one. The hotel’s breakfast was excellent and very varied, definitely worth trying. The rooms were clean and tidy with an amazing view, especially if you plan to see the Northern Lights. The staff were very cheerful and kind, always willing to help. The hotel’s transport service was also excellent.

Located around 18 walk from Central Railway Sation, not easy when you are dragging your luggage walking on uneven road. Hotel itself was great. Rooms were spacious. 8Breakfast have lots of selection.

The room was small, but the breakfast options were quite good. It's in the city center with convenient transportation, so overall it was pretty decent. Cleanliness: There was some dirt on the bed, so I had to ask the staff to change the sheets. The facilities in general were just okay.

The Studio room was very clean and has kitchen. Very convenient to stay.

The location was great for taking an early ferry to Tallin. The studio was spacious and clean, and the kitchen has utensils to cook. They even have a Finnish sauna!

Overall the stay was good..the location was nice..however, the room. There were no bathroom mats provided..the beds were not very comfortable. Breakfast timings for the weekends was mentioned as 7am - 10.30am across all gear communication..however, when checked they informed its until 10am on all days..

The hotel is conveniently close to Helsinki Central Station. The room only had towels, a hairdryer, and an electric kettle. I saw a review mentioning that the front desk would heat up food if you asked, as there's no microwave, so I tried, but they couldn't do it. I guess the only good thing about this place is its location.

We spent 4 days here, and the facilities are well-maintained and clean. It's quite well-located, and we absolutely loved the hotel and the very attentive staff! The lady at reception was lovely and even taught us a few Finnish words. The only small drawback I'd mention is that the breakfast was a bit cold, but other than that, I'm delighted! 🥰

Great location - close to Arktikum, super friendly staff.

The location is good, very close to the city center, but the room was not cleaned and the trash wasn't emptied. The air conditioning inexplicably stopped working, which caused all the food we bought to spoil. Also, there were small cockroaches scurrying around the room, which was a bit gross. Other than that, everything else was pretty satisfactory.

While it might be due to the season, I felt the hotel's quality didn't match its price. There's no elevator, so I had to carry my heavy suitcase up. The room was small, and I could constantly hear conversations from the next room. If I stay in Rovaniemi again, I'll pay a bit more for a different hotel.

Good location, quiet hotel, rooms are ok size. Value is standard of this side of Finland. My room was clean and it has minifridge. Sauna area was clean and updated recently. Service was good and flexible. Breakfast was decent and I did not miss anything. Parking was free. Ac you have to manually switched on.

Deluxe accomodation for a fair price. Especially was thrilled to have excellent air conditioning on this very very hot summer!!! Massive TV I will enjoy tonight! Might try sauna tomorrow despite the hot weather outside!

We liked this hotel. We had room with balcony and enough space. Beds were comfortable and parking is free on the street. The best was breakfast that is open until 12pm. Morning was a little bit noisy.

Wonderful location, very clean but few amenities and oddly laid out: room 511 was on the second floor and took a labyrinthine path to find it. Pool hours limited and “double bed” means 2 twins jammed together. other than that, a comfortable stay in a lovely locale.

In this hotel, I felt like I was stepping back in time to almost a century ago. Yet, at the same time, it had modern conveniences - an updated bathroom, elevator, a sunroom and a restaurant downstairs with outdoor seating. The location could not have been better for a tourist like me and the staff was wonderful.

The hotel is in a good location, close to the river and not to far from the railway station. The breakfast is OK, though you have to eat it in the gloom of a room that is inadequately lit. The hotel has 6 or 7 floors but only one tiny elevator. The room was a decent size though it had a tiny bathroom. The beds were comfortable, but noise leaked into the room through the thin walls.

Because of the reception's arrogant attitude, we are never going to stay in this hotel. Been there during my business times a lot.

Stayed at the Arctic Light Hotel for 3 nights, 23-25th November 2025. From the moment we arrived, we felt warmly welcomed. The staff were attentive, friendly and easy to communicate with in every interaction. The room was very comfortable and beautifully presented and the location was fantastic in the middle of town. For Christmas, I splurged on what might be a once-in-a-lifetime trip with my three children. We were expecting -20°C, but it was unexpectedly warm at 1°C on the day, and we were blessed with good weather and got to see the Northern Lights – it was absolutely breathtaking! The transportation from the zoo to the resort is unclear; those using public transport can only take taxis to the park and also to the bus station, otherwise it's very inconvenient. The staff were all very friendly and professional. Upon check-in, we found the room wasn't cleaned properly, but the staff quickly addressed the issue.

The hotel facilities are new and clean, but it is difficult to get there by public transportation. There is less light pollution at night, and we are lucky enough to see the aurora. It is recommended to drive there by yourself. 

The hotel is located far from the city, about an hour's drive away. Although it is a bit far away, the aurora borealis exploded in this hotel. We stayed in a glass house and the aurora was all around us. It was very fun. The only downside is that the hotel doesn't have a TV. But I highly recommend this hotel mainly for chasing the aurora and self-driving.

Witnessed the northern lights and it was absolutely stunning!

I booked the East Glass Igloo. There were over 50 ants in the room. I tolerated it for about 3 hours, but couldn't take it anymore and reported it to the front desk. I was upgraded to the West Kelo Igloo. Both the East and West igloos have front desks, but the East one is within walking distance from the bus stop. To get to the West igloo, you need to ask the East front desk for a shuttle. In my case...

Really, just amazing. Nina and Pasi run an incredible resort nestled in the woods in Lapland. If you want the best Lapland experience, this is the place to go. Not the big commercial resort, but a boutique resort with every detail well thought out. Food was so delicious, rooms were epic. Book this place.

This property is just outside of Levi (about 10-15 mins drive from main town center). It’s a beautiful property and the igloo rooms are quite spacious , luxurious and comfortable with all amenities. Their breakfast was good but could have been better. They provide a hot tub outside every igloo room but I feel the water wasn’t warm enough so we couldn’t use it in the cold weather.

I made the reservation for two nights in Northern Light Huts. I am suprised of experience to sleep under windows and see millions of stars twinkling. Huts are new, warm and very clean. A nice farm next to a river owned by hospitable hosts holding horses and donkeys. We enjoyed having a tasty breakfast with warm homemade buns and other local products, staying in a traditional summer house (good sleep as no sunlight, sounds and heat getting inside). There are also sauna, bicycles, boats and hiking options.

Best day of my life!! The owners were super super nice, walking with the donkeys was amazing and the savusauna with dock on the river was too notch!
