We were welcomed by a very friendly gentleman called Joao. Made us feel welcome from the start. We only stayed for a night but overall we felt the hotel was good value for money. Car park was empty but the hotel felt like it didn’t have many guest, should they sell out I can see parking being a potential issue. I would definitely stay again.

This is a very good hotel. Well maintained, ideally located for exploring the old city Carcassonne, convenient parking. Larger rooms in the far away wing are best. Unfortunately, the rooms are below average… very old furniture and disappointing, doesn’t match the price. I was fooled by the lobby and the restaurant downstairs but the rooms are like 2 stars hotel rooms Not worth it!

Since it was low season, certain amenities aren't available which is understandable given the affordable prices for such a luxurious hotel. Comfortable rooms, but would look more modern and fresh if the walls were painted white, instead of the pale yellow/magnolia. Lovely staff, great meal and breakfast. Location is easy to get to and great for a night. But not much to walk to, so it is lucky the restaurant's food is so good. Last year we really enjoyed sitting around the pool, it was a shame the weather stopped us doing it this time.

Amazing place to stay. The staff very helpful.  If you are staying longer and like a mix of restaurant and also own cooked food, it a good choice. We did our own breakfast.

The suites are very inconsistent in terms of size and decor. Initially, we were given a tiny white box room 502, which is allegedly one of the suites. Luckily, this was changed to a different room, which is shown on their website as a suite. The furniture is pretty old and decor needs upgrading. the internal parking reservation ( included in the booking) was not comunicated to the Hotel, I was able to manage with the reception in the following days as at the begining of the stay it was not anymore available.

The property is in an amazing location overlooking the river and where along with two bridges. As an old building itself the whole visit to the hotel was steeped in history. We had a wonderful time and would definitely call again in the future.

As another review mentions I got to meet the amazing Katia at breakfast on a busy Saturday morning. I was astonished to see her attention to detail clearing tables and ensuring everyone had enough food. Without Katia breakfast would have been a complete disaster but Katia was so efficient and quick at turning tables it made all the difference. A huge credit to her please.

I was initially assigned to the 6th floor, then moved to the 5th. There's no elevator, so climbing the stairs was exhausting. The front desk area is only one square meter, but the receptionist was nice and provided good service. The room is small, but the bathroom is nice. We had an excellent stay at Grand hotel. It is literally the very centre of the city which meant we could walk everywhere. In the square outside, there were sometimes events going on which we enjoyed watching from our room. We got a suite which had a beautiful bathroom. It was very clean and tidy.

The hotel overall is ok. 2 points I did not like: - indicated charging station is a regular household power outlet. You need to bring your own cable (3,4kwh). Parking was occupied by a non electric car. Reception did not react. - French fries in restaurant were burned in oil and soggy 🤬

Nice hotel, great value , clean, good service, and all the expected amenities. Although the room was very hot, it was necessary to open the windows to cool it down. This is something I see frequently in all hotels. An energy-inefficient practice that is uncomfortable for guests.

Hotel Opinion. I don’t know your clientele, but most foreign hotels I stay at have some TV channels in English. I think you need to boost the technology in the room. Perhaps USB ports for phone charge. I had trouble with WiFi all week and had to shut it off. When it gave me access, I couldn’t download anything. I have unlimited data with AT&T but I imagine some people don’t.

The noise was incredibly loud, a constant rumbling that made it impossible to sleep. I marked it as four stars, thinking it was a four-star hotel, but it turned out to be about three stars, roughly equivalent to a budget hotel like Home Inn. Very bad.

The room was very small. It looked like it had been completely remodeled and still smelled a little of paint. The first floor was completely empty because it was being renovated. The pillows were very thin and when I woke up in the morning, my neck hurt because they were not comfortable at all.

A very pleasant room in a nice environment. There is really nothing bad to say about this part of it - a great stay in a tasteful room with a great jacuzzi. But be mindful: in Google maps the hotel is listed as having a gym or fitness studio: but that turns out to be a lie. They do have a pool and a spa but *no* gym.
