Languedoc-Roussillon, Carcassonne, 2 Rue du Comte Roger / 32 Chemin des Ourtets 🧭 Map
It's a very beautiful place. The atmosphere and style of the hotel are amazing. The breakfast was tasty and the staff were friendly. It was a very good experience, I absolutely recommend it.
This hotel was exactly what I wanted : a bit old-fashioned but elegant. Breakfast was great, and the lady on duty offered alternatives for dietary restrictions.
Only problem: the bath wasn't working, and I had really been looking forward to it after a very wet and windy day.
Beautiful hotel in a fantastic location. Friendly staff, great breakfast. We will be back.
First of all, my husband & I fell in love with Carcassonne, this hotel, and the staff (Jean, Stephen and Tiffany) who were friendly and helpful. We were excited to be staying inside the castle walls. The room was clean, spacious, quiet, and facing the castle walls. The inside of the hotel had an Old World feeling, warm, and decorated for Christmas. In short, it was lovely!
We took a taxi from the...
despite being the middle of winter, the staff were attentive and the location was lovely, very Christmassy. Room was great.
We did not receive advice that the the hotel cannot be accessed by car, so Satnav is not helpful. It was almost 9pm when we left the airport 11minutes away by car, but we did not arrive until 90 minutes, within the traffic-free old city. Phone calls to the hotel (separate phones, several occasions) connected us to a Tesla Charging number(we had a VW hire car|) or an Agent Immobilier. By asking local...

Jarome and his colleague's genuine smiles and readiness to help, together with the comfortable room and ambience of this delightful hotel oozing a sense of history, made our short stay an exceptionally pleasant experience.
The biggest issue is that the room door fails to close properly, and you must park at a private lot 200 meters from the hotel without valet service.
The hotel is on a very tight alley, making it impossible to pulling your car a moment; you must carry your luggage 200 meters from the private parking lot.
Hjälpsam receptionist. Fick flera goda tips.
Mycket gammalt, fint rum med högt i tak och synliga dekorerade takbjälkar.
Small but comfortable rooms which don't, alas, match the magnificence of the splendid staircase. A nicely-presented breakfast and friendly staff.
Hotel very clean. Reception were all extremely helpful and friendly. Parking a bit far, but considering the location of the hotel, it is understandable. Could walk to restaurants, shopping, attractions. Train station about a 20 minute walk so able to do day trips from here pretty easily.
Cosy room, lovely hotel, polite staff didn’t have the breakfast as i’m vegan but otherwise 10/10 would stay here again !

The hotel location is great because it is in front of the old bridge. They do not have a parking lot.
Wonderful, unforgettable stay.
We really enjoyed our stay at Sowell Hotels Les Chevaliers. We booked a Deluxe room with a terrace and a view of the medieval fortress of Carcassonne, and we definitely did not regret it. At night, the fortress was beautifully illuminated, and the view from the terrace was absolutely stunning.
The room itself was very nice. Even though it was -3°C outside, the room was warm thanks to the heating, and...
The location is absolutely unbeatable - stepping out the front door, I was practically at the gates of the medieval city. The evening stroll along the ramparts with the hotel’s illuminated facade in view was magical.
My room was spacious and comfortable, with that perfect balance of modern amenities and traditional charm. Excellent breakfast!
Excellent location and very nice service. The team members were very welcoming, sincere and act very professionally.
We loved the medieval / romantique way decoration with the view on the old city. What a pity the bedroom had some amount of dust on corners and painting falling appart in the bathroom+ the tap was broken. Overall, our stay was very good.
Great rooms, ours had a balcony with a view of the Medieval city - but I don't know if ALL rooms have a balcony.
Location is a ten minute walk to town centre or the mediaeval city. Lovely river walks nearby and plenty of restaurants.
The hotel breakfast is a buffet of hot and cold. Mostly adequate, and good value - occasionally it could have been refreshed a little more regularly.
Staff polite. ...

This is a lovely and historic hotel. It shows it's age but that's part of the charm. The original lift (elevator) from 1930 is a so unique and a snapshot to the past. The guest book in the rooms shows attention to detail. Staff super helpful and considerate. Great location!
Great hotel right in the heart of the city. Surrounded by restaurants, markets and anything you could need. Metro station is very near too! Staff is super friendly and breakfast was great. Will definitely stay here again!
Great central location with lots of options for eating and drinking nearby. Staff very helpful, would recommend for a city based stay. Easy access to buses, including to airport, and the metro.
Great hotel in central Toulouse for city break, helpful staff and good Aircon, room a little small but sufficient. The location is ideal, train and metro nearby with a great market in the next street and in a lively neighborhood
Great for a short stay, amazing and helpful staff.

Languedoc-Roussillon, Nimes, 755 Rue Tour de l'Évêque 🧭 Map
Fantastic hotel. Very solid old building, with thick walls that isolate sounds and keep warmth inside. Stylish decorations, a lot of space, and really good mattresses. We slept like angels! Free parking, nice but a bit pricey restaurant, and a selection of fancy high quality food at the breakfast. Will stay over again with pleasure!!
Decent location, with parking, 1.5 km from the old city (18 min. walk) Excellent breakfast, friendly, helpful staff.
The hotel needs to be updated. The bed was small and the bathroom outdated.
Great stay. Multilingual staff. Great sleep, really comfy beds and very quiet. Great breakfast, excellent value.
We stopped off for two nights on the way home from holidays in the south. The location of the hotel is excellent and close to the highway, although it is located in a kind of industrial estate you can easily forget this once inside the lovely hotel ....lovely pool and garden sitting area. Very relaxing hotel, good size with kids as it's small and friendly and they can go back and forth to the room...
The hotel is accessed from a small road off the highway. The gardens and pool are beautiful. There's no elevator, so carrying luggage upstairs was a bit of a hassle. The room was small but comfortable, and the bathroom was clean. There's no refrigerator, but you can get ice and water in the restaurant. The breakfast was quite generous, and the staff were very friendly.

Staff at reception were extremely friendly
Room was fantastic
They have done such a great job of refurbishing this hotel

:)
I had an absolutely unforgettable week at Hotel Lapérouse in Albi — everything was simply perfect. The hotel is ideally located in the heart of the episcopal city, with easy access to all the historic sites and the charming streets of town. The staff were warm, welcoming, and attentive throughout my stay. My room was beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean, and incredibly comfortable — the perfect...
We found this in the Rick Steves book. We ended up looking at 3 rooms and found the street side room to be the largest with a great view of the entrance to old town. Everything is walking distance, parking is on the street right below the room and costs about 8 euro a day. You can park a 10 minute walk away for free. The room was quiet with 2 sets of windows and a set of shutters. The wi-fi was fast...
We've just come back from beautiful Albi and are very pleased we chose the Hotel Laperouse for our stay. The young family that run the hotel were so welcoming, friendly and helpful and the hotel was delight. The location was very convenient only 10 minutes from the train station and on the edge of the old town. We were in a superior double which was very quiet, comfortable, spacious and clean...
Did not heed hotel's advice, and had a hard time trying to reach the hotel by car GPS. Nearly all access roads closed and converted into a pedestrian mall. Finally have to park, and on foot found it in no time. Warmly received. Room in adjacent building is spacious and a beautiful balcony looking into the pool. Owner is very helpful and informative. Breakfast, served in a bright spacious room, is...
The hotel is on a main road close the to city centre, shops, restaurants and other delights of Albi. We were able to leave our motorcycle on the pavement outside and there were other parking options for the city clearly specified on our booking. There was a nice heated pool in the garden. Beautiful hotel, clean and confortable. We appreciate the staff, kind and willing to serve well. As a relative negative points, it's not near to center of the town, about 10 minutes walking. And although limited variety of breakfast products they are very well and of quality.
In general I RECOMMENDED IT.
A wonderful hotel. We have stayed here several times. The rooms are clean, comfortable and well equipped. Breakfast buffet consists of good quality foods. Staff are courteous and helpful. The hotel has a swimming pool and secure onsite parking. It’s an easy walk into the centre of Béziers. Highly recommended.
An excellent stay. We original booked a room ai XIX who were apparently having renovations and changed us to In Situ at the last minute. The staff of In Situ could not have been better, changing us to a different room with two beds (which we had originally reserved) and did so pleasantly. The next morning we checked out to go for a walk and left our car for an hour or so…the staff found my IPad and...
A superb adult only hotel in the heart of Beziers. Got an upgrade to a room with a terrace which was just AMAZING! Beautiful room. Super clean. Great en-suite and shower. Languedoc-Roussillon, Auch, Route de Lussan - Lieu dit a Baulieu 🧭 Map
Michelin restaurant. Very expensive but worth every penny. First class
We enjoyed our second story balcony. Very relaxing although mosquitoes do come at dusk. Room is modern and spacious. No elevator. Dinner was a tedious affair. Pacing was poor and food uninspiring. Definitely not a gourmet experience. It would have been more enjoyable to choose from a menu rather than choose between two fixed options given there are no dining options nearby.
I am giving this 5 stars for the restaurant. Seriously one of the best meals of my life. 5 course tasting menu with wine pairing 88 euros. This is not a series of small bites but decent portions served with really excellent wine. Menu changes seasonally and much of it is foraged. Excellent service from knowledgeable staff.
Being rated four stars, I expected more than was available. Small towels for shower, only coffee machine with two capsules, no kettle, only one bottle of water per room. I thought the appearance was fine but let down by lack of ‘little extras’ that make a big difference. Would I stay again - No.
Fantastic hotel located in a very calm and relaxing setting. Facilities at the hotel are all very good. The restaurant has held multiple Michelin stars over the years and the food reflects that. Sunrise is not to be missed, beautiful morning views.
What we liked: We liked being in the countryside. It was quiet and we walked the roads around the property to see lovely views. We liked the food, quite excellent. What we didn't like: Taxi arrangement from the train station didn't work out, luckily an Uber was available. After that we walked to/from hotel and town -- property like this should have some kind of car shuttle. Also the food was extraordinary...

Excellent travellers hotel. Close to the. Motorway but with everything necessary for a relaxing stay. Bar, restaurant, pool and wonderful service. Dog friendly. Room a bit small but well appointed (even a bath and balcony. Clean.
Like fornøyd gang to vi bodde der. Super hyggelig personale og god frokost.
Everything was great, we'd happily stay again.
We always stop here on our way to Spain. We're very satisfied and would recommend the hotel to anyone. Excellent service, good food, and a secure, camera-monitored parking lot. It's pet-friendly, so we can stay here with our dog.
We love staying here and will definitely stay here again next time.
It's misleading to call this a 4 *, it was decent enough but the condition and the size of bedroom and especially, bathrooms, was not of 4* expectations. The staff were friendly and helpful though.

The window has only a thin curtain, so you can see both inside and outside.
Not quite the romantic break suggested by photos & description. Loud party in room next to ours (not in main building) and music in bar with loud base thumping. Lovely small and quiet hotel, just a few steps outside the city walls of old Carcassonne. Easy to get to from the airport by bus. We didn't have, or need a car.
Friendly staff. Bar is open all day for hot/cold drinks and snacks.
Only minor criticism of the room was that there was no fridge although to be fair, the room was quite small and there was not really space for one.

We did not stay in the hotel but had a great lunch in the restaurant. Great chef, great food, creative menu, lovely ambiance and the staff very friendly and helpful (I asked for a specific table because of my misophonia). And what an ambiance. A 'must do' when you are visiting Albi.
Lawrence made our stay even more wonderful and everything was perfect from our quiet suite with a view to fitting us in last minute for breakfast
Delightful boutique hotel within a stone's throw of the main old town/marketplace of ALBI. The staff at the hotel were very attentive and efficient. The room was very tastefully decorated in a modern style. Certainly worth the challenge of navigating the small lanes and parking convolutions to stay here. Good value. Excellent service. Great position. Recommend it.
The Alchimy Hotel is a beautifully designed and well-situated hotel in the town center. Our room was stylish and very comfortable and the bathrooms were the lap of luxury.

The Restaurant Alchimy is exceptional.
The dishes are delicious and very refined both in flavour and presentation. They also have a very nice wine list.
Service was very good and our waiter Laurence gave us some great suggestions from the menu. For us it was the most memorable restaurant in Albi. Highly recommended.
One night in Alchimy. Very friendly and helpful staff.

Small room, you could hear people from the next room, the heating appliance was full of dust.
Even though it needs some minor renovations, it's in good condition to receive guests. Beautiful view of the Garrón River and everything is very clean.
The hotel reception is lovely and the staff very friendly, but the room was nothing like what they advertised on the various accommodation websites and on the hotel's own website. It had no design or decor whatsoever. A simple, outdated room with a dark wood headboard, desk, and bathroom furniture in the same tone. The room had just enough for a short stay. Quirky check in procedure. It was unclear where or when we check in. Were dropped off in front of our hotel but eventually were directed to check in next door. Had to move our luggage back and forth up and down stairs.

The Mercure hotel is located close to the city center and the shopping mall. It takes 15-20 minutes' walk to the old medical school. Rooms are relatively small. Comfort is basic. Breakfast is rich and of a good quality
It's not bad, the facilities are old, and there are two Mercure hotels. Google navigation is wrong. For business travel, I am generally satisfied. It would be better if the room could be bigger.

Delicious breakfast and delightful owners who helped us plan a day touring the countryside. Only wish we’d stayed longer. Don’t miss dining at ‘S Comme, a very special gourmet restaurant on the property.

An exceptional auberge. A short drive from the Nimes town center, Mas de Bourdan is a small, beautifully-appointed garden hotel, coupled with a bistro and a fine dining restaurant, both offering outstanding French cuisine (not listing vegetarian dishes, but the chef produced excellent options). The facility, in a 17th-Century structure, is outstanding; staff truly aim to please.
