Reviews
First of all,
I booked a room with a King Size bed through Booking, but I was given a room with two separate beds. When I asked to change the room, they said it might be possible after a few days, even though my stay was only 3 days, so the issue was never resolved.
Secondly,
Room cleaning is not done daily unless you inform the reception. The problem is that the reception is located on the 6th floor, not on the ground floor, which is inconvenient—especially if you come back tired. Because of this policy, coffee and amenities are not refilled, and you have to go to the reception yourself to get them.
The room itself is very basic:
Weak heating
No fridge in the room
The bathroom exhaust fan is very weak and almost useless
The toilet flush works by itself without pressing it
Internet was slow, unstable, and disconnected frequently
The only advantage of the hotel is its location: it is close to a tram and bus station, and there is a kiosk nearby that stays open late.
We’re currently staying here over Christmas break. We flew in the day before Christmas with our son. There are numerous stains on the carpeting. The heater in bathroom does not work and there’s a large crack in the mirror all of which we brought to the attention of the staff. I should’ve just changed rooms at that moment, but after a long day of traveling, we just wanted to rest. We tried adjusting the heat in the main room to a more cooler temperature so we could sleep at night, but it doesn’t seem like it works. Fortunately, the window opens up so we’ve been sleeping with our window wide open on the second floor.
The bed we stayed in almost seems like a temporary bed because it’s very light and just rolls around without resistance. The mattress is not very supporting and sags in the middle. The pillows are extremely flat and hard and I have woke up every morning with an incredible headache.
There are no fridges in the room. There are no dressers and the closet space has about enough room for 4 hanging items.
The bathroom is adequate.
The positive…. The hotel is located at the end of one of the trolley lines and it is a short commute into the city center (switching once to another line).
If we had to do it again, we wouldn’t chose this hotel.
The hotel is located in a safe neighborhood, which made me feel secure during my stay. Paid parking is available for 12 euros, which is reasonable considering the area, and there is a supermarket in the same building, which was very convenient.
Public transportation is within walking distance, which was great for exploring the area. I have stayed at this hotel twice, and both times I was impressed with the room's condition. The first room was 332, and the second time I stayed, I was in room 331, and both were in excellent condition.
The only downside was that there were no USB type C ports anywhere in the room. It was a bit of a problem when trying to charge my phone. Luckily front desk receptionist had an adapter.
Premier Inn hotel was accommodating when I arrived earlier than expected. The fact that they let me check in to my room early shows that they prioritize customer service and are willing to go the extra mile to ensure their guests have a pleasant stay. This level of flexibility is always appreciated and can make a big difference in the overall experience.
The breakfast was available for an extra charge of 14 euros. Overall, I would recommend the Premier Inn hotel for anyone visiting the area. The hotel is clean, comfortable, and located in a safe neighborhood, making for a great stay.
We checked-in on 28.12.2022 around 11:40, one of the staffs was extremely rude and doesn’t even know how to do her job.
We are 5 travelers and I booked three double rooms with my name. A black hair, short lady was helping me to check-in for the first room, while the other tall female staff was making trouble for my family. The tall lady searched the reservation with my husband’s name (which is wrong, I booked three rooms with my name and the short lady was already aware of that, I don’t know what’s wrong between their communication) and told my family there’s no reservation for them.
Besides, even though we’ve given all our passport to the reception, the tall woman kept asking for our ID in a very rude way and kept asking: who is going to stay alone in the room?
We hadn’t arranged the room at that moment and the short lady also said it doesn’t matter who stay alone in the room, but the tall lady kept asking kept asking kept asking, which made us felt she just wanted to make trouble.
I do not want to attribute her behavior as racism, however, the German customer after us got a smooth service from the tall woman.
The other staffs are friendly and helpful, only this sad lady treats foreigners extremely rude, I do hope Premier Inn cares more for staff training and avoid this unacceptable thing happened again!
The room is great, nicely equipped, even has Bodenheizung.
The price (80 when I booked it) is also very friendly when almost all of other hotels charge 100+ for one person per night.
