I am absolutely thrilled with my stay at H4 Hotel München. Getting to the hotel from the Main Station (Hauptbahnhof) and Marienplatz is very quick and easy.
One of the best things is the location—right across the street is Riem Arcaden, a massive shopping center. It has huge Edeka and Rewe supermarkets, and honestly, the choice of restaurants and fast food places is incredible. You can smell the delicious food as soon as you walk nearby!
As for the hotel itself, the staff is very kind and professional. Everything is clean, beautiful, and modern. In our room, we were welcomed by a coffee machine, and the coffee was excellent.
A huge plus is that guests can use the sauna and the small gym for free. I highly recommend this hotel to everyone visiting Munich!

On the positive side, The staff are friendly and the rooms clean and comfortable
But..you have to supply your own water except for one tiny bottle provided on the first day, the coffee and milk are not renewed daily and the room is only serviced once every 3 days. This last point would be okay, if the supplies were maintained. There is a fridge and I bought my own supplies from a supermarket. Everything is done on a minimal budget. The towels are small and old and quite hard. The toiletries in the bathroom are, one handwash at the sink and one bottle in the shower which is shampoo and body wash combined.
Elsewhere, the bar is comfortable and the staff good, but the menu has a choice of a burger or a club sandwich or salad. These are quite expensive but were tasty. A slightly larger selection would have been nice.
I didn't try the restaurant.
It would be interesting to know how the staff are paid and treated. When there are so many obvious cost cutting measures it does make you wonder if the staff have a decent working and wage conditions.
- First room they wanted to offer was very stinky (drain smell).
- Weak bathroom ventilation
- No info about how to call reception or housekeeping, etc and the nr that TV Homepage indicates doesn't work.
- They don't clean the rooms until you insist for three consecutive days.
- When you ask them to come check what's wrong with the TV, no one goes.
- Cheapskate mentality. We got only 1 coffee each and 1 small water bottle for both four night.
- Very little light in the room. Not good for reading not writing.
We won't go back.
