Nothing much to say, it's great, especially the excellent location – right downstairs from the Brandenburg Gate. Breakfast is plentiful, including caviar, and there's a restaurant with a view of the Brandenburg Gate.

Our experience at this hotel was completely ruined by the behavior of the front desk staff. While sitting with my family enjoying dessert at the hotel’s coffee area, two of my teenage children politely went to the reception desk to ask where the restrooms were located.
Unfortunately, the receptionist responded in a rude, aggressive, and completely unprofessional manner. She raised her voice, spoke to them with disrespect, and used offensive and humiliating language. No guest—especially a child—should ever be treated this way under any circumstances.
This behavior shows a total lack of basic hospitality, courtesy, and training. A hotel that allows staff to scream at guests and treat families with such disrespect should seriously reconsider its customer service standards.
When my son came back from the restrooms, the same hotel receptionist came back, alongside her staff member, and began lecturing him on the rules of the hotel, raising their voice, and even saying outright they didn't belong in the hotel.
We expected a welcoming and family-friendly environment. Instead, we left feeling upset, disrespected, and deeply disappointed. The rest of the hotel staff was indeed helpful and nice, but the two at the reception completely ruined the experience. I would not recommend this hotel to families or anyone who expects basic politeness and professionalism.

Premier hotel with a very awesome staff who made us feel like royalty. All the restaurant recommendations and bookings as well as excellent house keeping. I would definitely recommend this hotel if you can. It also perfectly located in Berlin to reach majority of the tourist stuff.

I was really excited to spend a few days at this famous old hotel. I’ve been told it was the first luxury hotel in Berlin and I have stayed at other Kempinski properties. My room was lovely…quiet, well appointed, and a nice size. Unfortunately, I received quite mixed service. The Concierge and was excellent, as were the front door staff and housekeeping. Service at breakfast was adequate, although there was a long queue and my order of berries never did materialize. The spa was both expensive and disappointing. My masseur gave me a 50 minute massage (I had booked in 80 minutes). My facial was all about upsell. The first receptionist I encountered at the spa was new but she did a great job, but the second one had terrifying Botox lips at only 27. Likewise the service at the lobby bar, where I met a colleague for tea was served our scones 45 minutes after our tea (at least they were comped). Room service was prompt but the club sandwich was soggy and inedible (the sweet potato fries were nice at least). Sadly I can not give this hotel 5 stars. They obviously need to hire more staff, better cooks and IMHO they need to completely rethink the spa.

Five star disappointment. They put us in a room in a back building then blocked our access to our room all week due to various events they had on the first floor. To get to our room we had to go up one set of stairs, walk an entire hallway, then take two more slow elevators. Very inconvenient and not a 5 star experience. I left a message of complaint with the manager and got no response. Very disappointed with this hotel experience.

I can only say that everything was excellent, though I didn't take enough photos. The decor is magnificent, the service is attentive, the cleanliness is excellent, and the location near the Brandenburg Gate is just like anything you'd see in a classic European movie.
