Description

Melia Frankfurt City is a contemporary 4-star hotel offering a range of room types including The Level suites and premium rooms with skyline views. Guests frequently highlight the hotel's modern design, cleanliness, and spacious rooms. The 15th floor features a sky bar serving drinks and snacks, though some guests noted they were not initially informed about this benefit. Amenities include a sauna with city views, a fitness center, and a restaurant serving breakfast with Western, Continental, and Vegetarian buffet options. Pet owners can bring dogs for an additional daily fee. The hotel provides 24-hour front desk service, luggage storage, internet services, and meeting facilities. While many guests praised the friendly staff and overall comfort, there have been occasional reports of service inconsistencies, such as unexpected room entries and slow response times. Prices start from around $136 USD per night, making it a modern option near Frankfurt’s public transport and exhibition centers.

Location

Melia Frankfurt City is located at Senckenberganlage 11 in Frankfurt am Main, about 9 km from Frankfurt International Airport (FRA). The hotel stands opposite a park and close to a subway entrance notable for its carriage-like design. It is within walking distance of the 13th Hussars Memorial (118 meters), a historical World War I monument. Nearby dining options include Brasserie ici (155 m), Joe Pena's (260 m), and Jewel Of India (370 m), all rated well by visitors. The hotel’s location offers convenient access to both old and new parts of the city, as well as to the ISH exhibition center, which guests have found easily reachable on foot or by public transport.

I would stay in the hotel again for the future visits without any doubt

Do NOT stay here! Do NOT stay here! My friend and I were sleeping in the afternoon when someone claiming to be from the mini-bar knocked on our door. Before we could even react, they just opened it directly! I immediately called the front desk, and the hotel said they were checking the room's cleanliness. I explained that the person had no cleaning tools and was holding a stack of beers, asking me what I wanted to drink, all while apologizing and still asking what I wanted. I was furious and demanded an explanation, but she couldn't give me one. The next day at checkout, a different front desk attendant told me it was legal in Germany! But our room didn't even have a mini-bar, and I hadn't ordered any service! Then a manager came over and said it was unacceptable, but offered no explanation! They just said they would tell their superior to provide an explanation! This was my second time staying here, and I truly felt very unsafe this time! I already felt uneasy coming from the main train station, so everyone, please be extremely careful with this place! Who knows, they might open your door in the middle of the night and claim it's all legal 🙃

Reading reviews really helps you learn a lot of useful things.
My stay was on the 15th floor, and it's strange but the 15th floor felt like a 'premium' area.
There's a sky bar on the 15th floor.
The bar has a wide selection of drinks and beverages, as well as afternoon tea and snacks.
However, when I checked in, no one told me I could come here to sit and have a drink.
The room was very clean, quite new, and even had a sauna.
Highly recommended, the overall feeling was very comfortable.

Upgraded my room with a view and it was incredible! The sauna, restaurant, receptionists, staff, room and even cleaning staff, everything was great value and experience. I downloaded the app and will try more of their branches all over the world.

Very nice and clean room that is of good size. Hotel feels relatively new. Walking distance to shopping mall, but further away from the central business district. But it's a nice area to stay in. Will choose this hotel again if I go back to Frankfurt.

Went for breakfast. The hotel is very nice and clean, laid out in such a simple, streamlined and modern way that everything was easy to find. The breakfast was good. The egg cook was rude and didn’t want to make fresh eggs for me. You have to get your own coffee, which is great but there are no small spoons to be found anywhere on your table or at the coffee machine. By the time you ask someone to bring you one, your espresso gets cold. The pancake machine was broken. I had to ask someone to fix it- they would not do it on their own. They fixed it but even then the pancake wasn’t properly cooked- it was still “doughy”. Overall good experience - but pricy for such imperfection.

Great experience with the Melia Frankfurt City in a recent two night stay. Modern and clean building, very friendly staff, great breakfast, central location. I highly recommend the hotel. I’m traveling to Frankfurt since 20 years - this will be my top choice from now on.

Zero would be more appropriate. I travel often for work and I think I have been a guest in the most important hotel chains in the world.
Sent email for information for a stay for work... No response. You can book on Booking, but if you have special needs or requests, they don't even deign to respond.
Absolute zero for a 4-star hotel.
