Additionally, if you enjoy getting sliced by fibre optic cables on the floor this hotel is perfect for you, as theres an open wire greeting you by the door of your room! If that doesnt excite you enough, the pee stains, broken TV, half a toilet roll and cracks in the wall might catch your attention!! Alongside this, the staff were rude, disssmisive and downright disrespectful, with the only exception being from the very nice woman at the breakfast bar.
To summarise, staying at this hotel feels more longer and more gruelling than reading through this review. I wouldn't even show this place to jigsaw as a saw trap recommendation. 0/10 experience.
It would be less cleaning for you to accept cats as well than only dogs… and of course it’s not mentioned on their website or on Booking.com.

This place is a complete scam. I booked Select Hotel Silence Garden Köln expecting peace and comfort — what I found was a loud construction site, dirt everywhere, and a hotel that looks NOTHING like the photos.
I refused to stay even one night and left immediately. At the front desk, they promised to issue a refund, admitting the situation — but guess what? No refund ever came, and they started ignoring my messages.
The rooms are outdated, the hallways full of dust and renovation materials, and the overall condition is just depressing. Calling this place a “Silence Garden” is a joke — it’s more like “Noise and Lies Hotel.”
